"Give me money?" The villager looked puzzled. "Give me what money?"
The uncle stretched out his hand to stop the eldest senior brother, his shoulders drooping. Jiang Mubai had seen that sometimes there were scoundrels in the market, just like the uncle now.
"Do you know any herbs? Huh? You don't, right? My nephew took so much trouble to collect these herbs, and you're so relaxed, asking for them right away. But when it comes to money, you act dumb, right?"
The villagers' faces changed, and their eyes blushed. "I've noticed how snobbish you guys are! And you're even a cultivator! Pah!"
The uncle turned around and said, "Let me teach you something: a gentleman cannot be respected unless he respects himself."
Jiang Mubai didn't understand what he meant. The eldest brother was stunned for a moment: "What you mean is, a gentleman needs to respect himself..."
But the shouting of the villager interrupted his words. The uncle flew up and kicked the villager to the ground, and then beat him up with punches and kicks.
The eldest brother wanted to step forward and pull them apart, but he was at a loss as to what to do. Jiang Mubai thought of the woodcutter and turned away.
After a while, the uncle stopped and explained, "What this means is that if a gentleman doesn't hit someone hard, he won't be able to establish his prestige."
"Is that so?" The second brother was a little unconvinced.
The uncle smiled, bent down and picked up the villager by the collar: "Now what do you think of what I said?"
The villagers regained some consciousness, their eyes widened, and they nodded repeatedly: "What the leader said is right!"
Unexpectedly, Master Wu was not satisfied and reached out to hit him: "Call me Master Wu!"
"Master! Master, spare my life!"
The next moment, Jiang Mubai saw a red light flashing in his uncle's hand: "If you come to cause trouble again, I will kill you. I know who lives in your family."
The villagers were terrified and nodded repeatedly. The uncle let go and watched him tumble away, shaking his head to himself, "I still didn't hit him hard enough. Sigh. Hey, remember to bring money next time you buy medicine!"
The villagers did not respond and just tried to escape.
The eldest brother respectfully asked, "Uncle Master, may I ask what technique you used just now..."
"Oh? That one, it's useless, just looks scary. It's called something like the Soul Burning Curse."
The scene fell silent, and the uncle asked in confusion: "Doesn't your master know how to do it too? Didn't he teach you?"
The eldest senior brother shook his head, the second senior brother shook his head, and Jiang Mubai also shook his head.
"Look, that's the method of evil cultivators." The eldest brother said again.
The uncle was even more puzzled: "Our sect has always been an evil cultivator. Didn't your master tell you?"
The scene fell into an eerie silence. Jiang Mubai felt his mind go blank. How long had it been since he became an evil cultivator? He had heard those wandering storytellers say that evil cultivators were terrifying figures who sucked human blood and ate human flesh!
The uncle muttered a few words and ignored them. The eldest brother looked back at the gate of the temple and followed them with his head down.
All along the way, he listened to his uncle's words. The eldest brother was worried, the second brother had an empty look in his eyes, and Jiang Mubai had already adapted to his identity as an evil cultivator. Anyway, he hadn't entered the sect yet, so he didn't need to eat human flesh and drink human blood for the time being.
The uncle didn't care and just talked about some things that were right or wrong.
However, Jiang Mubai noticed something strange, that is, the fog around him... seemed a little bigger?
"Remember, don't..." He heard his uncle say something, but the sound soon fell silent.
Jiang Mubai was a little dazed: "Uncle Master? Senior Brother?" He was panicked and ran forward two steps, but saw nothing. The place where Senior Brother was standing was empty, and there was thick fog all around, making it almost impossible to see anything.
