"Remember, when you get beaten, think about what you have learned." Fang Zhiyi said and slipped away.
Fang Yunhe didn't understand why, but he walked out of the school nervously.
Sure enough, a group of young gangsters stopped him. During the scuffle, they saw the money in his trouser pocket. One of them reached out and pulled it out. Then, with Murong Ke shouting, countless fists fell.
Fang Yunhe felt sad. What on earth was his father trying to do? He refused to help him even though he knew he would get beaten. What was the point of living like this?
But soon he felt that there were no fists landing on him. Someone pulled him up. When he opened his eyes, he saw several police officers in uniform, while those youths were squatting on the ground with their heads in their hands.
"It's them. I just passed by and heard them say they wanted to rob some money!" A familiar voice. Fang Yunhe saw his father saying something to the police officer, and his eyes lit up.
When he was being questioned, he told the whole story of how he was beaten and how his money was stolen.
When he came out, Fang Zhiyi was standing at the door waiting for him. Fang Zhiyi grinned and touched his head: "Come on, I'll take you out for a midnight snack!"
Sitting on the roadside eating barbecue, Fang Yunhe rubbed his bruised eyes and bravely asked the question in his heart: "Dad, did you know they would rob us?"
"What's the point of a hoodlum not taking the money when he sees it?"
Fang Yunhe nodded. That was true. People often snatched tuition fees from the school gate, but he didn’t have any money before, so they would just beat him up a few times and let him go.
Fang Zhiyi spoke earnestly, "I want to tell you a truth. There are many ways to deal with evildoers, not just violence. You have to know that under the law, fighting is a security detention. It's only when you're injured that it becomes a criminal case. But if it involves robbery, the penalty starts at ten. Those guys are already in trouble, and it's time for them to go to jail and get a lesson."
Fang Yunhe looked at his father with a dazed expression. In his memory, his father was not so talkative and did not understand the law.
"What are you looking at? You're not allowing me to make progress? I met a few people in the gambling world before, and they kept telling me about the law. I could even memorize it."
Fang Yunhe suddenly understood.
"What about Murong Ke? He didn't make it."
"As for him, it doesn't matter... From today on, if he looks at you, you beat him up."
Fang Yunhe was stunned: "Just one look and you're going to beat me up?"
"Yes, no matter where or what the occasion, if he looks at you, you're going to beat him up. Whether you can beat him or not is another matter."
Fang Yunhe nodded, feeling inexplicably excited.
However, he had no room to act on his brewing mood. The next day, Murong Ke did not show up, and everyone said that he was arrested for participating in a robbery.
But Fang Yunhe knew that he was just notified to be taken home for education, which was the same as a holiday for him.
A pretty girl came to the school. She spoke softly and people followed her wherever she went. Fang Yunhe just glanced at her from a distance and felt that the girl's smile was fake, but it was none of his business.
The head teacher has been giving him trouble again recently, either asking him to sweep the public area alone or making him copy or stand in the corner as punishment.
Fang Yunhe's positive attitude was dampened. He couldn't possibly beat up his homeroom teacher, could he? Regardless of whether he could defeat her, even such behavior was wrong.
But after school that day, Fang Zhiyi found him. Fang Yunhe was not surprised. Last time he heard that his father worked part-time as a plumber at the school, but he was sometimes there and sometimes not.
"Son, I have something for you." Fang Yunhe took the file bag handed to him by his father, opened it and took a look at it, his face changed.
"Dad, what's this?" The information clearly marked that their class teacher received red envelopes and changed grades, and even detailed the time, place and people.
