Chapter 527 Banditry 11 (1/2)

Furthermore, within the gangs, various myths about Fang Zhiyi began to circulate. Some said he possessed a mirror bestowed by the gods, and simply by speaking into it, the bandits' hiding places would be revealed. Others said this was due to the presence of numerous traitors within the gangs, who would relay information to Fang Zhiyi daily, enabling him to strike at the gangs with such precision.

Regardless of which version was true, it caused great panic among the bandits. Some bandit camps even started killing each other in order to find the non-existent "traitor", and gunfights and civil unrest broke out frequently.

Fang Zhiyi took the opportunity to reap the benefits of being a fisherman. While continuing to suppress the bandits, he also plundered their treasures in order to quickly arm his own security group.

"I've never fought such a prosperous battle!" Fang Zhi was very proud of himself.

When Fang Zhiyi again proposed to expand the group, Yan Qi looked hesitant: "Brother, your security group already has more people than my reorganized group. If you expand again, are you going to start an army?"

Fang Zhiyi spread his hands. "There's nothing I can do. Banditry is rampant, and it's not just here. Many people who have been harmed by bandits have come to me and asked to join. How can I turn them away?"

Yan Qi had a headache, because now he seemed to have no control over Fang Zhiyi. Fang Zhiyi had people and money, and most importantly, he seemed to know how to smuggle, and the weapons and equipment he got were better than those of his regular army, and his training methods seemed very effective. In the past, Yan Qi did not think much of these guerrillas forming a bandit suppression group, but now that they showed up there, his reorganized group seemed like a hastily assembled force.

But soon he could no longer worry about Fang Zhiyi, because his immediate superior sent someone to say that someone had reported that he had levied heavy taxes, massacred innocent people, and used the name of suppressing bandits to make money and expand the army, and now he wanted to be held accountable.

The messenger pointed at his nose and scolded him for a full hour, then demanded in a tyrannical manner that he immediately resign from his post and go with him to see the Marshal.

Yan Qi sighed, took off the pistol from his waist and was about to follow the person.

But as soon as they walked out of the door, the messenger had a gun pointed at his head.

"You, you want to rebel? Yan Qi, let me tell you, the commander sent me here! Think it over carefully!" The messenger was in a panic, and Yan Qi was also confused.

Then Fang Zhiyi appeared, followed neatly by two teams of armed security guards. Yan Qi's soldiers stood on the periphery, just watching.

"Fuck you, you bastard, are you going to come all the way here to take my captain away?" Fang Zhiyi started cursing.

The messenger was stunned and stammered: "You, you, who are you?"

"Who am I? Come here, tell him who I am!" Fang Zhiyi waved his hand, and two of his men stepped forward and started fighting.

Xiao Hei shook his head and laughed: "You are too outrageous."

"What do you think of being a warlord like me?" Fang Zhiyi glanced at Yan Qi. He knew very well that if Yan Qi left, he would die.

"Mr. Fang..." Yan Qi spoke.

Fang Zhiyi raised his hand to interrupt him: "From now on, call me Marshal!"

Yan Qi was confused.

"Look at your stupid boss. He knows nothing. You're such a good soldier, but he's always looking down on you. Listen to me. From today on, you'll follow me."
