The vice-captain screamed and fell to the ground, his severed arm lying there quietly.
Gu Heng was completely dumbfounded; his previous lofty ambitions had vanished into thin air.
It's impossible to win, how can we win?
"Um, I, I surrender!" Gu Heng blurted out these words instinctively after just one strange look from the woman.
"Gu Heng! You!" someone exclaimed angrily, "How could you surrender to the supernatural?"
"We are a commando team! Have you forgotten what we were told? We'd rather die than surrender!"
"Gu Heng! Your wife and kids are still at headquarters, right?"
Gu Heng suddenly turned around: "If you want to die, then go die! I'm not playing anymore! Wife and kids? I don't have a wife and kids!" He finally understood. He had really thought that Fang Zhiyi was just playing house with those weird creatures, but after seeing these BOSS-level beings in front of him, he realized his own position.
"What about you? Do you want to die or surrender?" The mournful-faced man looked at the others with a strange expression.
"Hehehe." The smile was strange, yet somewhat excited.
"I'd rather die than..." one team member shouted, but before he could finish the last word, a gloomy figure holding an umbrella appeared beside him. The vein-like patterns on the umbrella surface gradually lit up. He merely touched the human's shoulder with the handle, and the human's face instantly lost all color. His skin withered visibly, and the blood in his veins seemed to be sucked away by an invisible straw, flowing along the patterns on the umbrella surface into the handle. Finally, he slumped to the ground with a "thud," like a sun-dried human skin.
"Damn it..." One of the team members drew his knife, but the eerie person opposite him, with a smooth face and only a pair of eyes, suddenly showed him the silk thread in his hand. He was horrified to find that he could no longer feel his hand. Then his vision changed, and he could actually see his own feet straight ahead.
Seeing his teammate's body suddenly sliced to pieces, the assault captain completely lost his will to fight. In despair, he raised his gun to himself, but his gun didn't fire; the slippery limbs took his gun away.
"you...."
"Hehehe, apart from the rebels, no one else can die, no one else can die." The smile was eerie, as if there was a hint of regret.
The remaining people immediately dropped their weapons.
"No fun...hehehe." The smile was strange, clearly showing some disappointment.
As these strange creatures walked past them, seemingly only asking for their surrender, Gu Heng breathed a sigh of relief.
"Fang Zhiyi is so slow, so slow."
"It'll be here soon, it'll be here soon."
Several strange conversations reached his ears.
"Fang Zhiyi?" He suddenly looked up. If... relying on humans wouldn't work, relying on Fang Zhiyi wouldn't be a bad option, right? The idea just clicked! He opened his mouth and asked, "Where is Fang Zhiyi?"
But the only response he received was the eerie voice of a tall, thin man: "Sentence me, sentence me."
"Sentenced?" someone asked, puzzled.
Gu Heng stared at the strange, tall man in front of him whose face was wrinkled like tree bark. He held a completely black scepter in his hand. When he looked at Gu Heng, the man's eyes widened suddenly. His eyes had no whites and were completely black.
"guilty!"
Gu Heng was unaware of what happened next, because he was horrified to find that a pool of mud had suddenly gathered at his feet. The mud seemed to come alive, and the next moment he was swallowed by it, unable to exert any strength no matter how hard he struggled.
From that moment on, Gu Heng was plunged into endless fear. Countless thoughts surged in his mind, and countless versions of himself kept talking, driving him almost crazy. Then he fell into a small, square courtyard.
