"He's a child? He's almost as tall as me!" Fang Ning shouted angrily.
“I find you to be such an inconsiderate child. You should give way to the younger ones. This is a tradition of the Fang family, you know?” Fang Wenxia said.
"He's giving way to the younger one? Did he give way to my sister?" Fang Ning pointed at Li Xiaojun.
"Nonsense! You're becoming more and more rude! How dare you talk to your aunt like that!" Li Jianguo scolded. "It's just a little drawing, isn't it? It's just a child's innocence. He may be naive, but are you?"
"You guys..." Fang Ning was about to say something when Fang Zhiyi squeezed in, glanced around, and then stared at Li Xiaojun.
Li Xiaojun's eyes darted around.
Upon seeing Fang Zhiyi, Fang Wenxia finally remembered that she was at someone else's house.
"Brother, this child is naughty, I'm sorry."
Fang Zhiyi waved her hand, squatted down, looked at Li Xiaojun, and asked, "Did you draw this?"
Li Xiaojun hesitated before nodding.
Fang Zhiyi suddenly reached out and touched his head, then pinched his cheek: "Well drawn! Looks like you have a talent for drawing!"
Upon hearing this, Fang Wenxia's expression softened considerably, and Li Jianguo also smiled.
"A painter should paint anytime, anywhere. You can't waste any inspiration. You'll definitely become a great person in the future."
Li Xiaojun was flattered by the praise: "Exactly!" He even stuck his tongue out at Fang Ning.
Just as everyone was leaving, Fang Zhiyi secretly took out another hundred yuan and slipped it to Li Xiaojun, winking at him: "Keep it up."
Li Xiaojun was overjoyed. He quickly glanced at his parents and stuffed the money into his pocket.
Fang Zhiyi stood up and watched them walk out with a smile. Fang Ning's face darkened. This was the normal father; no matter what, he always sided with the relatives' children.
But when Fang Zhiyi turned to look at him, there was not a trace of a smile on her face, and Fang Ning inexplicably shivered.
Seeing Fang Zhiyi reach out, he subconsciously closed his eyes again, but Fang Zhiyi just patted his head: "A small act of impatience can ruin a great plan. You learned in your textbook that reading is not just about reading, but about understanding."
Fang Ning watched his father walk out with a puzzled look in his eyes. He then turned to look at the wall covered in drawings, lost in thought.
Liu Mei, who was in the room at that moment, looked on with schadenfreude.
After Fang Wenxia's family left that day, Fang Zhiyi suggested taking the two children to the night market. Fang Ting was very happy, but Fang Ning was reluctant. However, she couldn't resist Fang Zhiyi's insistence.
At the bustling night market, Fang Zhiyi generously bought her daughter a candied hawthorn. Fang Ting ate it carefully. Although her family was doing well, she rarely had the chance to eat snacks. She could only get a little when her older siblings bought snacks for her. If she ate too many, her mother would scold her.
Fang Zhiyi looked at her son with a hint of amusement. To be fair, the boy had a certain charisma, but he wasn't very sunny. However, this kind of charisma was quite attractive to young girls. At this moment, Fang Ning stood there with a cool expression.
"Do you want some candied hawthorns? Hey!" Fang Zhiyi naturally had to ask him.
"I won't eat."
"What?" There were quite a few people at the night market, so Fang Zhiyi asked again.
"I won't eat!!" Fang Ning raised his voice. Fang Zhiyi nodded. He suddenly noticed two girls looking at Fang Ning. Fang Zhiyi immediately grinned mischievously. Based on his experience, this kid was going to have some luck with girls today.
Sure enough, the two girls pushed each other a few times, and one of them shyly stepped forward to ask Fang Ning, "Um, what's your name?"
Fang Zhiyi's ears perked up, and Fang Ting also looked at her brother with curiosity.
