Chapter 784 The Mob 5 (1/2)

But just as the two were talking, Fang Zhiyi walked out from behind them, still looking leisurely. He lifted his foot and walked towards the stairwell. Some people saw him and their eyes wandered, as if they were thinking about something. Others' eyes scanned the closed doors of several apartments on this floor, as if they were making a decision.

Chen Rui didn't know what Fang Zhiyi was going to do. He hesitated for a moment, then told Li Duo to close the door before quickly following her.

His interactions with Fang Zhiyi over the past few days had made him realize that she wasn't a bad person. She was just a bit picky about food, but otherwise she was a very easygoing and approachable person.

"Don't go watching this kind of commotion, young man, or you'll get yourself into trouble," an old man kindly warned.

Fang Zhiyi smiled: "Thank you very much, sir. Have you eaten yet?"

The old man was taken aback: "I've already eaten. I'm old and can't eat much. A few bites will do."

Fang Zhiyi nodded, but continued walking.

Downstairs, people kept running upstairs with their families, but Fang Zhiyi walked downstairs with a relaxed expression. Chen Rui followed behind him, feeling like his heart was about to jump out of his chest.

Many people were looking at Fang Zhiyi, wondering what this young man was going to do. Did he really have to watch this spectacle?

Fang Zhiyi quickly disappeared from their sight.

"Honey, we're running low on food, and the relief food hasn't come in yet..." a woman murmured.

The man glanced at the daughter in her arms, his eyes turning fierce: "No, just like them..."

Several people around looked over, clearly sharing the same thought.

"We're just looking for food, not murdering anyone for money. Even if they investigate later, it won't matter."

He seemed to be speaking to those around him, but also to himself.

But the screams that suddenly rang out in the hallway startled everyone.

"Who told you that you can just steal things from my territory?" Fang Zhiyi was standing on a man's chest, while three other people next to him were rolling on the ground in pain.

Chen Rui was dumbfounded. He had originally wanted to advise Fang Zhiyi to mind her own business, but Fang Zhiyi entered the room and started fighting without warning. He easily dealt with the several agitated robbers, and the crisp sound of bones breaking gave Chen Rui goosebumps.

The disheveled woman was huddled in a corner with her husband, thinking it was all over. But then a young man suddenly appeared and saved them.

"We really can't hold on any longer... If we could survive, who would be a robber!" a man cried and begged for mercy.

Fang Zhiyi glanced at him: "Do you have a wife and children?"

"Yes, yes," the man replied.

"Hmm..." Fang Zhiyi pondered for a moment, "That's fine then, otherwise I'm afraid no one will burn paper money for you in the future."

"What, what did you say?"
