Chapter 14 We're Not a Couple

...

To catch the best shooting time, we brought the breakfast that Tie Nan bought to the car and ate it while driving. This journey gave me, a first-time visitor to Dali, a deeper understanding of the place.

Previously, I always thought that the sea view from "Majiuyi" where I stayed was the most beautiful, but after arriving at Shuanglang on the other side, I found that it was even better than "Majiuyi". Unfortunately, due to policy reasons, the sea view guesthouses here have been ordered to close down, and coupled with road construction, it gave people a somewhat unpleasant experience. When the car circled the sea to "Wase Town", it truly felt like a hidden paradise, and we decided to film here today.

Tie Nan parked the car near the sea, and the makeup artist began to make some minor touch-ups on Yang Sisi's makeup. I got out of the car first with Coach Ma. Not long after, I received a message from Lao Huang saying that he had arrived at the airport with his son Xiao Bao and Sisi's parents, and that I must bring Yang Sisi to the "Golf Garden Hotel" near the ancient city before 12 o'clock.

Despite feeling guilty, I still gave Lao Huang a positive answer. I hope that Yang Sisi will be happier in Shanghai or abroad than in Dali, and I also hope that she and Xiao Bao can find true love. Perhaps only then can I alleviate my guilt.

...

Lost in thought, the makeup artist led Yang Sisi to my side. Coach Ma, holding a camera, said to us, "Let's take a set of photos on the road first. You all climb onto the hood of the car. It's a bit dangerous. The men should take care of the women and try to get it in one take."

I helped Yang Sisi onto the car hood, and as I was about to climb on myself, Coach Ma suddenly stopped me, saying, "Wait a minute, this promotional photoshoot mainly focuses on women. Let me take a few sets for her first."

I consciously stepped aside, while Yang Sisi made a face at me to mock my ruthless neglect.

Yang Sisi seemed to have taken similar promotional photos before, so she didn't need Coach Ma's guidance and naturally struck several good poses. Coach Ma also looked very professional; in a short while, he had already changed into many difficult shooting poses, capturing every touching detail of Yang Sisi on this coastal highway.

A moment later, I got onto the hood. Coach Ma took a few steps back and gestured for me to put my arm around Yang Sisi. However, the thought of this girl being Old Huang's future daughter-in-law made me a little hesitant. Coach Ma tried several times, but I couldn't strike a pose that satisfied him. Yang Sisi then said to me gleefully, "You're all talk and no action. When it comes to actually doing something that crosses the line between men and women, you immediately chicken out."

I replied, a little annoyed, "Yesterday you told me not to take advantage of you, and now you're making sarcastic remarks. How many faces do you have?"

"Of course you can't take advantage of me. You'd better know your limits and not make me think you're a scoundrel."
