Chapter 441 The True Face of Capitalists

"Brilliant, truly brilliant! ...The hotel hasn't even opened yet, and she's already made her money back by selling houses... Michael, when will we ever reach your wife's level?! That's what it means to truly manipulate capital; compared to her, we're just shrimps!"

"What did you say?"

Chen Jin smacked himself in the mouth, then laughed and said, "I blurted it out, don't take it to heart... Your wife can only be Lu Jia, the one inside is a thing of the past!"

"You might as well not have explained at all!"

Chen Jin put a cigarette in my mouth to calm me down...

I couldn't be bothered to argue with him, even though all my bad mood was caused by these unreliable and lousy friends.

What was even more overwhelming was that only Cao Jinbo and Ye Zhi's table had an empty seat, which I knew without a doubt was for me. Just as I was thinking about how to handle the situation, Chen Jin had already been moved to another table by the staff, and I had no choice.

I glanced at Ye Zhi, but she wasn't looking at me. Instead, she was chatting with a middle-aged man who looked like a leader. I looked at Cao Jinbo again, and he smiled at me, gesturing for me to sit in the empty seat.

This arrangement makes me feel like it was premeditated. Why were Chen Jin and I forced to sit at two separate tables when we came together?

Maybe I have paranoia... but I really don't like this atmosphere right now because it's completely different from what I expected before I came here!
