"President Zheng! This!"
I just stared at him.
Shi Shi said from the side, "I guarantee there will be no problem. Even the industry and commerce bureau and the fire department said that our information is very complete."
If there's a problem, it's that the section chief wanted to talk to me privately, but I brought a lawyer, and the section chief got upset.
The section chief glanced at Shi Shi and then wiped away a bead of cold sweat.
"Mr. Zheng! This about her, she..."
I waited for a long time, but he didn't say anything.
Just then, two cars pulled up in front of the door, and Director Wen, who was in charge of the cultural department, came in with his entourage.
"Engineer Zheng!" Director Wen reached out his hand to me from afar.
I went over to him and shook his hand: "Director Wen! I'm a little embarrassed to trouble you with this, it's our first time dealing with each other."
"Oh, Engineer Zheng! Please don't say that. You're the second inspector now. If you trouble me, you're doing me a favor."
"Huh?" What's this second inspection?
Director Wen leaned close to my ear and said, "They've all said that you're even more capable than the Supervision Department now. When you encounter a case, you handle it more thoroughly than the Supervision Department, and they all become ironclad cases."
We had tea with the head of the inspection department that day, and he said, "You are his second-in-command."
He's the first inspector, you're the second, and even more so; anything involving foreign countries won't work against you.
Um... am I that good now?
"Director Wen, please don't say that. Shall we take a look at the situation here?"
"good!"
I pulled the documents back from the section chief's hand:
"Director, you're an expert. Take a look and see what's missing from this document."
When Director Wen took it, the section chief started trembling.
Two people came up beside Director Wen and checked each item one by one.
A moment later, the two nodded together.
Director Wen: "Engineer Zheng! There are no problems here."
It seems that Shi Shi was well prepared.
"That's strange. There's no problem, so why wasn't it approved?"
The section chief then turned directly to the clerk, but before he could speak, Shi Shi said:
"The clerk said that this case is under your personal jurisdiction."
I couldn't let him shirk responsibility: "That's right, I've heard that too."
"What else could it be?" one of the people around said. "Isn't it just asking for some benefits?"
"My file is also being held up by the section chief."
"And mine too."
“He will personally handle my affairs.”
With so many people speaking up, Director Wen's jaw muscles bulged.
"Someone! Collect their information as well."
The people around Director Wen immediately went over.
I reviewed several documents, and only one had a problem.
Damn it, isn't this just making things worse? Everyone else is fine, but this guy with problems is just joining in the fun.
"Is your case also one that the section chief is tasked with handling?"
"Yes! The section chief asked me to come today, and he'll sign it for me right away."
oh?
When did he tell you?
"Just last night, when we were drinking."
Haha! I'm not causing trouble, this is a godsend!
"Oh! I'll sign it for you if there's a problem."
After I finished speaking, I looked at Director Wen.
Director Wen walked a few steps to the wall, took out his key, and engraved a phone number on the wall.
"This is my office phone number. If anyone has any complaints or is being harassed, just call this number to contact me directly."
"good!"
"Wow..." Everyone around me applauded, and I raised my hand to clap too.
Director Wen reached out and pressed down the applause: "Hearing everyone's applause, I feel ashamed! It's my fault for not doing well and for making everyone feel wronged."
"Someone come here, take this person directly to the Inspection Department, and have all the licenses he approved reviewed again."
After Director Wen finished speaking, he took Shi Shi's information and signed it himself.
"Thank you, Director Wen."
Director Wen looked at Shi Shi and Tian Xin: "Gentlemen! May I borrow Engineer Zheng for a while?"
What are you saying? I'm not one of them.
That thing I did while I was "drunk" doesn't count.
"Director Wen, you must be joking! Let's go!"
"I'll treat you to tea."
"Alright! I know you're disciplined. Um... Aunt Xin! I need to talk to Director Wen about something first, you guys go back first."
"Okay! Let's meet tonight."
Again? "We'll see!"
Director Wen and I didn't look for any expensive places; we just found a small restaurant nearby and booked a private room.
Director Wen: "I can't compare to you, so this will have to do."
I smiled and said, "Director Wen! If you keep saying that, I won't go to any less than a five-star hotel next time."
"Ha... alright! Although we don't have a very deep relationship, we've met quite a few times. I'll just say what's on my mind."
"Yeah! I also like things to be straightforward."
"Here's the thing: the country is now vigorously developing science and technology and weaponry, so those of us in charge of culture and tourism have to give way to the general direction."
This office system hasn't been upgraded in eight years, so I'd like to ask Engineer Zheng to design one for me.
I've tried to contact Engineer Zheng several times, but I'm afraid he's too busy and won't dare to ask.
"I've seized this opportunity today. No matter what, I'm going to ask Engineer Zheng for help."
That's true. If it were for his own sake, I probably wouldn't have taken action, but he did it for the sake of the entire department.
"Okay! People say that if you eat someone's food, he's bound to do the same. You have to treat me to lunch today. I'll design the plan for you right here. Tell me about your case-handling procedures and characteristics, and what your requirements are."
"Okay! I'll call someone over."
We'll start our business here in this little restaurant.
To meet their requirements, I modified the office software I had previously designed.
