Chapter 147 You Will Be Deported

Gao Huai stayed in the hospital for more than a month. Since he had no relatives in Country G, his guarantor Rick had to coordinate the repatriation.

The police told Gao Huai that, first, he did not have legal residency rights, and second, he was a fugitive wanted in the country and must be deported according to the law.

Gao Huai knew very well that if he was sent back to his country under these two conditions, he would lose both his life and his wealth. He had spent so much time planning for this and could not just sit there and wait for death.

After being discharged from the hospital, Gao Huai was detained in a detention center by the police. Rick hired a lawyer for him, hoping that he would be given a lighter sentence.

"Mr. Gao, according to the laws of Country G, you have violated the above two provisions and must be deported back to your country for trial. Please tell me what you want and I will help you file a complaint with the Immigration Bureau." asked the lawyer.

Gao Huai defended himself, saying, "I had originally planned to return to China and surrender myself, but I didn't expect to be robbed. Therefore, I refuse to be deported and request to return to China voluntarily to surrender myself."

The lawyer shook his head and said, "The law is the law. We will not accept your assumptions. The evidence the police have now proves that you have indeed violated immigration law. You must accept deportation unconditionally."

"What about my money? This is my legitimate business income. They have to return it to me, right?" At this point, Gao Huai had no choice but to accept his fate. He'd go to jail, and at worst, he'd be out in a few years. But his biggest worry was what to do with that huge sum of money. Would it be confiscated by Country G's immigration department? Would they be so unjust?

"You can apply for temporary preservation of this money, but you cannot take it back with you. After you return to your country to face trial, your country's police will apply to Country G for its return. They will return it to you according to the cross-border fund transfer regulations."

"Okay." Gao Huai answered reluctantly. No matter how helpless he felt, he was now like a fish on the chopping board and could only allow himself to be deported by the Immigration Bureau.

Sitting in the dark and enclosed detention room, Gao Huai closed his eyes in agony, his heart filled with sadness. After painstakingly planning for so long, was this the only way to end up like this?

When he thought of the gloating expressions of Si Mingda and Wang Mudan when they were on trial after returning to China, his heart began to tremble. Emotionally and logically, he did not want to accept this result.

His original intention was to take revenge on Simingda, but the result was that both of them were hurt. Could he escape that terrible trial? Gao Huai was confused.
