Chapter 24: Unlocking the Heart

"Teacher Du, I want to write a letter. Please give it to Luo Yingtao for me." At this point, Si Mingda still couldn't let go of Luo Yingtao. He loved her so humbly and so heavily, but he had feelings for her but she didn't. He had only longing for her but nowhere to rely on, and tears of sadness flowed silently.

"Okay, I'll take it back to school after you finish writing it." In order to calm Si Mingda's emotions, Teacher Du had to agree to help him deliver the message.

It was with a few passionate love letters that Si Mingda won the heart of the cold and beautiful Luo Yingtao and became her first boyfriend at K University. Now, in just a few months, their relationship suddenly changed. This result caught Si Mingda off guard. He begged to win back her heart with an uneasy mood. He had paid too much for this relationship and was certainly unwilling to fail.

With his gauze-wrapped hands, he trembled and wrote down his heartfelt words: "Sister Cherry, time flies by. Months have passed. The scene of our love was once so beautiful. Every moment we spent together is clearly imprinted in my mind, but now it has become fragmented and turned into scars. I dare not touch it. My heart hurts when I touch it. I once imagined that we could be happy forever, but happiness was fleeting. I don't have the courage to move on. I admit that I lost sadly and completely. If I hadn't met you from the beginning, I wouldn't have fallen in love with you, and I wouldn't be in such pain today. If I had listened to Zhang Erqiang's advice, saying that I was not worthy of you and shouldn't start this relationship, I wouldn't miss you so much now. There are no ifs in life, and time cannot be reversed. I fell in love with you wholeheartedly. You brought me so much happiness, but in the end you still left me resolutely. How can I face the ridicule and sarcasm of others? How can I have a foothold in K University in the future? To be honest, from the outside, I look like a carefree person, but I am actually very sensitive. I care a lot about what others think of me. I don't I want people to look down on me. How I miss the days when we were in love, holding hands and leaning on each other, enjoying the romance under the moon and flowers. Now, your laughter and beautiful figure fill my ears and my heart. My heart is broken. Can you feel my pain? I admit that I am not worthy of you, but I have confidence that in the near future, I will definitely get rid of poverty through my own efforts and I will definitely give you a happy life. Dear Cherry sister, how I look forward to continuing to hold your hand, so that we can stroll happily on the campus boulevard as usual. Can you feel my heartbeat?

Although he knew that Luo Yingtao had made up her mind, Si Mingda still wanted to make an effort, hoping that she could understand his sincerity and go to the hospital to see him. Even if they had to break up, they had to do it in a decent way so that he could save face in front of his classmates.

Back at school, Teacher Du called Luo Yingtao into the office and asked tentatively, "Luo Yingtao, I want to talk to you about Simingda."

"Oh." Luo Yingtao's expression was indifferent, as if Teacher Du was talking to her about a stranger.

Teacher Du sighed and said, "This child is too infatuated. Of course, you could also say he's stubborn. I want to know what you think of him."

Luo Yingtao said solemnly, "Teacher Du, it's not that I'm heartless or ungrateful. I just think his personality is too extreme. He's willing to die over such a small matter. With a temper like that, who would dare to live with him in the future? To be honest, I don't want to have anything to do with him. Everything about him has nothing to do with me."

Teacher Du smiled bitterly and said, "Alas, I criticized him. Young people are too impulsive. In fact, he did this because he cares about you too much. I hope you can understand his painstaking efforts."

Luo Yingtao shook her head resolutely and said, "Teacher Du, he's an adult. He should bear the consequences of his own actions. I'm truly sorry, but I can't bear his so-called affection. It's too heavy, too terrifying."

Seeing that Luo Yingtao was so determined, Teacher Du stopped forcing her. He took out the letter Simingda wrote to her and said,

This is the letter he wrote to you. Please take a look at it first. Regarding your relationship, I understand your feelings and respect your choice. However, he has been emotionally unstable recently. In order to help him recover smoothly, can you go to the hospital to see him? I will arrange for Zhao Haitang to accompany you, is that okay?

Luo Yingtao shook her head without hesitation and said, "Teacher Du, I'm sorry. If you don't make a decision, you will suffer the consequences. Since you have made up your mind to break up, let's do it cleanly. Let him give up on me. I won't go to see him."

At this point, Teacher Du couldn't force her anymore and said helplessly, "Okay, if you think you're really not suitable for him, it's better to separate as soon as possible to avoid any more trouble. But I remind you, you're in the same classroom every day, you see each other all the time. I hope this matter can be handled calmly and left alone. Don't let him get any more upset, okay?"

"Okay, Teacher Du, I know what I should do."

Luo Yingtao left with the letter that Si Mingda wrote with the last glimmer of hope. As for what she thought after reading the letter, Teacher Du had no idea.

Si Mingda was in a very low mood, but Luo Yingtao was unwilling to comfort him. Teacher Du was worried that he would do something stupid again, so he had to arrange someone else. After some consideration, he planned to arrange for Zhao Haitang and Wang Mudan to visit Si Mingda in the hospital.

Zhao Haitang is the class monitor and has great prestige among her classmates. She is very good at mediating all kinds of conflicts and has a very good personality. Wang Mudan is particularly popular. She is kind-hearted, caring, and eloquent. They should be the most suitable people to comfort Si Mingda.

Teacher Du called Zhao Haitang and Wang Mudan to the office.

"Zhao Haitang, Wang Mudan, I have something to tell you." Teacher Du closed the office door and said softly, "I'm deeply saddened by Si Mingda's wrist slashing. This incident has had a very negative impact on the school. At this point, all we can do is to help him recover as quickly as possible and return to school as soon as possible to minimize the impact this incident has on his classmates."
