Chapter 189, /.

After seeing Zhu Youcai off, it was lunchtime again. Fang Yang didn't go upstairs again, but went straight to the restaurant to eat lunch. He returned to his room, cut a large watermelon, put it in the refrigerator to chill, and then went to take a nap.

I spent the whole afternoon typing before being woken up by a knock on the door. When I opened the door, I saw Mo Zhen waiting outside with someone else.

"Come in," Fang Yang said, glancing at the newcomer. He recognized Wu Xiaobao, whom he had met yesterday, and understood immediately.

"Hello, Mr. Fang!" Wu Xiaobao greeted Fang Yang respectfully as soon as he entered the room. His honest and simple face made Fang Yang feel as if he were in a dream.

Yesterday, being far away, I didn't feel it as deeply, but seeing it today, it's like a real-life reenactment. How can we mortals comprehend the wonder of the Creator?

"Oh, hello, hello, what's your name?" On their first meeting, Fang Yang couldn't very well say that he had investigated the other party thoroughly. It was normal to pretend not to know at the right time.

"My name is Wu Xiaobao, and I work as an extra in Hengdian World Studios."

Wu Xiaobao grinned, showing off his bright white teeth, and introduced himself to Fang Yang.

"Is this Xiaobao? How old is he this year?"

"I'm nineteen years old this year."

"You said you've been working as an extra here. How long have you been doing it?"

"It's been over a year, but unfortunately I'm still just an extra and haven't improved at all."

Fang Yang smiled and said, "You're just a self-taught kid. It doesn't matter if you don't have acting skills. What else can you do besides being an extra?"

"I've been practicing martial arts for over ten years, and I'll make it big someday."

Fang Yang looked at the light in Wu Xiaobao's eyes and nodded. This was a promising young man who was willing to work hard for his ideals.

"Xiao Bao, do you know about Yuewen Entertainment Media?"

"Yes, I know. It's Mr. Fang's company. Do you know Mr. Fang? I admire you so much. That movie 'Shaolin Temple' was really well made."

Fang Yang smiled and said, "Would you be interested in joining my company? But let me make it clear, you have to go through the teacher's training first, and only after you pass can you become an actor."

"Mr. Fang, is it really possible? I'm definitely willing, I can endure any hardship!"

"Okay, once you've taken care of things here, go to our company and find Xie Fei, the head of the artist department. Just tell him it was me who said it, and I'll call and confirm it."

Fang Yang got up, took a pen and paper, and wrote down Xie Fei's contact information. "Don't lose this. Save it in your phone and contact him when you get there."

Wu Xiaobao bowed to Fang Yang, "Thank you, President Fang. I will definitely not let you down!"

After seeing Wu Xiaobao off, Fang Yang drew back the curtains that had been drawn all day, and the setting sun shone into the room, instantly filling the air-conditioned space with sunlight.

Taking out the watermelon that had been frozen at noon, Mo Zhen snatched the watermelon knife, picked up the watermelon, and went to the side to cut it. Mo Sang asked Fang Yang in confusion, "President Fang, why do you think so highly of Wu Xiaobao? You know he has no good looks, no height, no acting skills, and he's also quite rustic."

Fang Yang smiled and said, "Because there's light in his eyes!"

Having worked in this industry for over a decade, Mo Sang naturally understood the meaning of those words. Although he wasn't very optimistic, for a large company like Yuewen Entertainment Media, supporting a small actor was just a drop in the ocean.

Mo Shen cut up half a watermelon and brought it over; the red flesh and black seeds made one's mouth water. Mo Sang tactfully ended the conversation, followed Fang Yang, picked up a watermelon, and ate it heartily. The watermelon, after being chilled, felt like a refreshing rain as soon as it entered his throat, so comfortable that it made him groan.

The three of them quickly devoured half a watermelon. After cleaning up, they sat on the sofa, and Mo Sang smiled and said, "President Fang, the main actors will all be here tomorrow. Shall we hold a press conference to mark the start of filming?"

"Why bother with all that fancy stuff?" Fang Yang immediately denied. "It's a waste of manpower, resources, and energy. We can just start the machine the day after tomorrow. Keep the opening ceremony simple and not too complicated. It's just a formality anyway."

"Look at how big a splash Director Wang made with 'The Legend of the Condor Heroes,' and how well it sold. Doesn't that generate a lot of advertising revenue?"

Mo Sang is used to holding a press conference every time filming starts. Last time, there was no press conference for "Shaolin Temple". Mo Sang thought it was because Fang Yang was not confident in his filming skills and wanted to keep a low profile. However, the box office success of "Shaolin Temple" surprised Mo Sang, so he wanted to remind Fang Yang to hold a press conference.

"There's no need. We'll have plenty of time for advertising after filming is finished. Right now, our focus is on making this drama a good one; everything else is secondary!"

Mo Sang had no choice but to shrug at Mo Zhen, who smiled and said, "Alright, let's do it your way, Mr. Fang. Also, we've arranged a dinner with the main actors for tomorrow night at the Chinese restaurant on the second floor. Is there anything else you'd like to add?"

"Let's do it the way you've decided. I have no objections," Fang Yang said with a smile. This is common practice in the industry and there's no need to omit it. It's also a dinner to get to know the lead actors better. Although Fang Yang mainly casts newcomers from his company for this production, he has also invited some veteran actors, and it's necessary to have timely exchanges.

After a night, Fang Yang stayed in his room writing until after 10 p.m. before heading out to drive to the airport. Zhou Xin took the earliest flight and arrived at the airport around 11 p.m. The drive from Hengdian to the airport takes about 50 minutes, so by the time he arrived at the airport, Zhou Xin would be landing soon.

They drove at breakneck speed and arrived at the airport just in time for eleven o'clock. Fang Yang didn't even get out of the car. The paparazzi were always staking out the airport. If they caught him red-handed, rumors would fly everywhere the next moment. It was really disturbing.

After sending a text message to Zhou Xin with his exact location, Fang Yang reclined his seat and lay down in the car to listen to music. It was midday, and the sun was blazing everywhere, making it not a good time to go out.
