Chapter 117 Jealousy

Chapter 117 Jealousy

After not hearing Zhou Ran come out for a long time, Yan Nian turned over and curled up in the quilt, revealing half of her face, closing her eyes and continuing to sleep. Suddenly, the phone that Zhou Ran had thrown on the cabinet rang, and Yan Nian's body trembled and woke up.

After the sound of water in the bathroom stopped, the sound of a hair dryer began.

Zhou Ran didn't hear it.

Yan Nian half-supported himself and looked over. On the cabinet beside the bed, a white light was on, accompanied by the ringing of a bell.

Yan Nian shrank back into the quilt and covered her ears. Her nerves were unbalanced and her heart began to beat wildly, boom, boom, boom, feeling suffocated.

The hair dryer stopped working and the phone stopped working.

Something in Yan Nian's heart relaxed a little.

When Zhou Ran came out, he was naked on his upper body, with only a bath towel wrapped around his waist. There was still a thin layer of moisture on his strong muscles.

I saw a bulge in the white quilt, as if it felt noisy and covered its head with it.

Messages kept popping up on his phone. Zhou Ran picked it up and turned it to silent mode. Besides the WeChat messages, Zhou Ji had called him three minutes ago.

I glanced at the bulging bump on the bed, probably because it was woken by the ringing of the phone.

Zhou Ran put on a pair of pajamas and walked to the side, gently lifting the quilt. Yan Nian frowned slightly, closed his eyes, and curled up with his hands covering his ears.

I was really disturbed by the noise.

He asked softly, "Are you asleep?"

The fragrance of the shower mixed with water vapor hit her face. Hearing Zhou Ran's voice, Yan Nian relaxed all over. She slowly opened her eyes, looking at his naked upper body and the not-so-dry hair on his forehead. She took her hand away from her ear and put it under the quilt: "Yeah, fell asleep right away."

Zhou Ran gently rubbed her head and didn't expose her lie: "I'm going out to answer the phone, go to sleep."

Yan Nian nodded.

Zhou Ran got dressed and went out, but didn't come back for more than ten minutes.

There was a knock on the door outside. After knocking several times but no one opened it, Yan Nian put on his coat and went out.

The suite has two bedrooms and a living room. The living room is not very big. The hot spring bath is blocked by a screen, but the rest of the room can be seen at a glance. Yan Nian did not see Zhou Ran.

He walked to the door and asked, "Who is it?"

"Sister Nian, it's me."

Yan Nian opened the door, and Zhao Shutong came in with a melancholy look on his face: "I came over to pack my things and sleep next door."

Yan Nian asked, "What's wrong?"

Zhao Shutong pushed open the door of the next room and sighed, "Oh, I can't sleep tonight. I have to go to class."

Yan Nian understood: "Did your brother say something about you?"

Zhao Shutong forced a smile: "Yeah. He's just like that."

She didn't have much stuff, just a backpack and a few skin care products and a makeup bag.

While cleaning up, she complained, "Do you think he's hit menopause early? I don't know why my sister fell for him."

Yan Nian pursed her lips and could only listen.

Zhao Shutong sighed, turned to face her, and asked, "Sister Nian, do I look like a fool to you?"

Yan Nian quickly shook his head: "Not like that."

Zhao Shutong gritted his teeth and said, "Then why did my brother treat me like a fool?"

Yan Nian choked. She didn't know either.

Zhao Shutong put the bag on his shoulder and said, "I'm leaving now. Good night, Sister Nian."

"Good night." Yan Nian sent her to the door and asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"

Zhao Shutong turned around, bit his lip and smiled mischievously, then pushed her back: "It's okay, go back quickly, and have a good sleep with Brother Heran!"

“…”

Suddenly it became quiet and Yan Nian was no longer sleepy. She stood in the living room for a while, then sat on the sofa and waited for Zhou Ran to come back.

A few minutes later, Zhou Ran came back, the phone still pressed to his ear: "Got it, that's it."

He closed the door gently, hung up the phone, and asked, "Why are you sitting here?"

Yan Nian stood up and said, "Shu Tong just came to get something and waited for you here."

Zhou Ran glanced at the next room: "Is she gone?"

Yan Nian: "Yeah."

Zhou Ran put his arm around her shoulders and said, "Let's go to bed."

After taking two steps, the phone in Zhou Ran's hand lit up again.

I raised it up and saw that the caller ID was You Jia.

Yan Nian looked at her phone and then at Zhou Ran. Why was he calling during the holidays?

It's very strange and I don't want him to answer.

Zhou Ran didn't answer.

The other party hung up and called again.

Yan Nian pretended not to see it, walked around to the side of the bed, lifted the quilt, and lay down on his side with his back to Zhou Ran.

Zhou Ran picked up the phone: "Hello."

The room was quiet, and Yan Nian could hear clearly what was said over there.

She sounded like she was drunk, and her coquettish voice made a man's bones go numb. Yan Nian felt very uncomfortable.

You Jia was drunk, "Mr. Zhou, I'm drunk."

Zhou Ran asked impatiently, "What's the matter?"

The other side asked again: "Where are you?"

"It's okay, I'm hanging up."

The woman on the other end said coquettishly, "Can you please come and pick me up? I'm so tired! I can't find the way home."

Yan Nian always had his back to Zhou Ran.

Zhou Ran said in a cold tone: "Call the police if you are lost. Hang up."

"Mr. Zhou, so many people know that I like you, how come you don't know?"

Zhou Ran hung up the phone.

Yan Nian heard the sound of him putting down his phone and closed her eyes. Then the seat next to her sank. Zhou Ran hugged her from behind and said, "If you're not asleep, let's chat."

Yan Nian moved aside and said softly, "I want to sleep."

Zhou Ran sensed something was wrong and easily pulled her over to hold him in his arms: "Are you really sleepy or are you just pretending?"

I couldn't fool him, and we looked at each other in bed.

Yan Nian felt depressed, inexplicably depressed.

Zhou Ran asked, "Did the phone call wake you up just now?"

He was referring to the previous phone call.

Yan Nian looked at his tall nose and plump lips: "Yeah."

Zhou Ran asked again: "Are you okay?"

Yan Nian said hoarsely: "Not bad."

Answer whatever he asks.

Zhou Ran always felt that she was worried about something, so he lifted her chin and asked, "Are you feeling unwell? Or is there something wrong?"

Yan Nian broke free from his hand and buried her head in his chest: "I'm not uncomfortable, really."

She couldn't help but wonder if she was too narrow-minded. It wasn't a one-day thing that had so many girls in the company liking him.

Zhou Ran couldn't help but laugh out loud, a laugh that came from the bottom of his heart, causing his chest to tremble.

Yan Nian heard it so clearly that her heart trembled. Every time she lied, she didn't dare look at him because she would be exposed soon.

Zhou Ran touched her head: "Was that You Jia's call just now? I blocked her."

Yan Niangang was still a little angry about why this person was still laughing, and now she looked up at him in surprise. Was it so obvious that she was jealous?

Zhou Ran held her face in his hands and kissed the corner of her mouth. He felt happier than ever before: "Are you jealous?"

Yan Nian drooped her eyelashes, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously raised up: "I didn't expect that so many people covet you."

Zhou Ran heard the subtext of her words, smiled, rested his chin on her head, and blamed her: "What's wrong with you?"

Yan Nian arched her back in his arms, revealing her face as if she wanted to say something.

Zhou Ran continued to hold her in his arms and said, "I won't call you again."

"Did you block her?" Yan Nian asked him.

Zhou Ran hummed, then added, "Keep your distance from the opposite sex. I'll remember that."

Yan Nian nuzzled his broad, strong chest and bit him: "I suddenly feel that being in a relationship with you is quite impressive."

Zhou Ran hugged the man tighter and said proudly, "If you have face, look after me. Do you hear me?"

"I heard it," Yan Nian responded, and called him again: "Zhou Ran."

"Um?"

Yan Nian likes to call his name. Every time she calls him, she gets a response, which makes her feel at ease.

She said, "Before I returned to Lindu, I missed you all the time."

It's the kind of sudden thought that comes to mind. I think of them when the weather is good or bad, or when I pass by places they have been to.

She wondered if the sky above Zhou Ran’s head was the same as the one above her head, blue or gray.

What is he doing? Is he alone or talking to someone? What kind of person is he? Is he a man or a woman?

Could he have forgotten her?

Zhou Ran kissed her forehead: "Me too."
