Chapter 2 The Fake Princess Harms People

The Third Prince froze for a moment, then quickly withdrew his hand under Jing Jiayue's watchful gaze.

"Third brother? You take it." Seeing that the third prince was not taking the bait, Jing Jiayue was anxious, but her face did not show it. Only her other small hand, hidden in her sleeve, quietly clenched.

What's going on? Why isn't this idiot taking it? If he doesn't take it, won't the poison be wasted?

[Third Brother didn't fall for it, that's great! Does this mean he avoided a fatal crisis?] Jing Le was also stunned. She didn't expect that the Third Prince would avoid the crisis without her even making a move.

[The plot says this third brother is a naive, foolish, and unsuspecting idiot, right? He doesn't seem that stupid to me; he even knows to avoid people.]

The Third Prince's lips twitched as he listened to Jing Le's complaints.

When did he become such a naive and foolish idiot without any sense of caution? Just today, the teacher praised him, saying that he was a man of great literary talent.

He absolutely refused to admit that he withdrew his hand because he heard Jing Le's thoughts.

"If you want to give it, then give it. There's no need to show it to me alone. If you really want to show it to someone else, then show it to the Empress. Anyway, you're close to her."

The Third Prince was already on guard. Whether Jing Jiayue was his biological sister was still to be verified, but the matter of the poison was a matter of his life, so he had to be careful.

He decisively took a few steps back.

[Not bad, not bad. Stay away from the female lead and stay safe forever. Retreat, retreat, retreat!] Jing Le felt a little relieved. Judging from the situation, it wasn't too bad.

Seeing that the Third Prince was not fooled and had even distanced himself from her, Jing Jiayue lowered her eyes and her gaze turned dark.

She gritted her teeth and pinched herself in the shadows, the pain making her wince and bringing tears to her eyes.

"Waaaaah, does my third brother hate me? Even though I'm being raised in the Empress's palace, I always think about my mother and my third brother. Please don't hate me..."

It's truly pitiful to see a three-year-old child crying so pitifully.

The Third Prince is the same; he hasn't even verified whether Jing Jiayue is fake, nor has he confirmed the poison. Is it really okay for him to be so cautious?

Just because of what that person in my mind said?

[I must say, the female lead is quite good at playing the victim; tears come so easily. If I hadn't seen her pinching her own thigh, I might have believed her. But this trick is enough to fool Third Brother; didn't you see him soften up? Tsk tsk tsk.]

Jing Le was exhausted and could only mutter to herself here.

The Third Prince, who was initially soft-hearted, hesitated again upon hearing this.

"Waaaah, Third Brother."

Just as the Third Prince hesitated, Jing Jiayue pounced on him. As he instinctively caught her, she reached out and threw the handkerchief and all the medicine powder at his face.

"Bang!"

"Royal sister, you..." Before he could finish speaking, the Third Prince was hit by the drug. He had already inhaled the powder and collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain, with blood quickly spilling from the corner of his mouth.

His pupils constricted. He hadn't expected that what that person said was true. Jing Jiayue wanted his life. She must not be his biological sister.

At this moment, he regretted his past actions. Why had he been so soft-hearted? He was such a fool. As he closed his eyes, he saw Jing Le in the grass by the artificial hill not far away.

Was that her speaking?...

[Holy crap, I only blinked, and now you're lying on the ground, Third Brother? Tsk tsk tsk, I told you being soft-hearted is a bad thing, and now look what happened, you're about to lose your life here...]

Seeing the Third Prince lying on the ground, spitting blood, Jing Le felt helpless and once again complained about his body, unable to do anything, how could he save people?

If only her spatial dimension were still there, any kind of elixir inside could cure the poison.

Thinking of this, Jing Le paused for a moment. She seemed to remember that her space was bound to her soul, so it should have come along with her.

While Jing Le tried to communicate with the space using her divine sense, Jing Jia Yue saw that the Third Prince had already vomited blood, and knew that the medicine had taken effect.

This was her first time killing someone. Her face turned pale and she fled in panic. Because she was small and the place was remote, she did not attract any attention.

The Third Prince on the ground had lost his focus, and Jing Le was certain that the space had followed her. Just as she was about to go out to rescue him, a nanny came out from behind the artificial hill on the other side.

[Wait, there's someone else! What's that old woman doing? She doesn't look like she's trying to save anyone. Holy crap, that old woman is incredibly strong! Is she going to dispose of a body?!]

Jing Le was stunned. The old nanny picked up the nearly unconscious Third Prince and carried him toward the lake not far away.

The Third Prince's somewhat scattered consciousness was awakened by Jing Le's voice. He barely opened his squinted eyes, and a sudden feeling of weightlessness came over him, followed by the suffocating sensation of falling into the water.

Before losing consciousness completely, he was still thinking, "Aaaaaah, I've really been dumped here!!! No, I'm not dead yet, help me..."

No matter how hard the third prince tried to open his mouth, he couldn't make a sound. He also drank a lot of water until he fainted and sank to the bottom of the lake.

Seeing that the Third Prince did not struggle, the old nanny sank to the bottom of the lake, took out a jade pendant from her bosom and threw it into the grass, then turned and quickly left.

After confirming that no one had appeared, Jing Le quickly went to the lakeside, took out a rope from her spatial storage, tied one end to a tree trunk next to her, and the other end to her waist.

He jumped into the lake.

Fortunately, Jing Le could swim. She found the Third Prince and fed him a life-saving pill. She then untied the rope binding her to herself and tied it to the Third Prince, struggling to swim him to shore.

"This third brother must be a pig, he's so heavy, I'm exhausted." Jing Le, panting heavily, dragged the person ashore and collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.

When the Third Prince regained consciousness, he heard Jing Le's complaints, coughed a few times, spat out some water, and slowly opened his eyes.
