The next day, Liu Zhichan and Xia Lin promptly tracked down the fat boy and warned him not to go to the girls' dormitory to read poetry again. The fat boy complained that she was meddling and said he wanted to hear Li Manli reject him in person. So, after class that afternoon, everyone in Dormitory 501 ran into the fat boy in the cafeteria. Upon seeing Li Manli, the fat boy acted like a pervert. When she ignored him, he even grabbed her shoulder bag and refused to let her leave. Li Manli, utterly enraged, declared she would never approach him again. The fat boy, heartbroken, declared that Li Manli was a superficial woman who only cared about looks and couldn't see his true self, and that he had misjudged her. With that, he left, under the glares of the crowd. While there was some unpleasantness, the matter was finally resolved. Even though Li Manli hadn't done anything, negative rumors about her continued to circulate. However, she ignored them. But now, she had a glimpse into Zhang Yao's scoundrel nature. She obviously didn't do anything wrong, but just because she was beautiful, she was always in trouble.
After that, dormitory 501 finally returned to peace. Everyone went to class and went home every day, and occasionally went for a stroll on the ancient city wall. The days passed like this.
Although Zhu Xingtong had a keen learning aptitude, she ultimately lacked the systematic mechanics training of Zhu Youliang and Liang Yuan. Because she needed to understand mechas, she had memorized a vast amount of basic mechanical knowledge. However, knowing is one thing, applying it to her own life is another. So, while she systematically studied textbook knowledge like everyone else, she also sorted out her own memories, hoping to integrate the two and rapidly improve. She even squeezed her spiritual training into the mornings, making her busier than everyone else. Despite her young age, her diligence had an insidious impact on many in the mechanics class, who also raced against time. The professors were delighted by her presence and particularly enjoyed her teaching, calling on Zhu Xingtong to answer questions during each class. Some disliked her attention to her, but she didn't mind. Since she had a goal in this era, she cared less about the opinions of those around her.
Liang Youqing came to see her a few times when he didn't have classes, and each time she was on her way to the library. Knowing that she loved studying, he would go directly to the library when he came to see her. He didn't disturb her, but sat opposite her, reading quietly. He would only remind her to eat when it was time to eat. Sometimes, when he couldn't urge her, he would buy food himself, bring it outside the library, and call her out to eat. Over time, Zhu Xingtong got used to his presence. Occasionally, when he didn't come because of something, she would still feel a little uncomfortable.
That day, she was sitting in the library studying as usual when the light in front of her was suddenly blocked. She thought it was Liang Youqing and didn't pay much attention until he started talking.
"Are you Zhu Xingtong?"
Zhu Xingtong slowly raised her head and saw a tall girl looking down at her.
"Is there something wrong?" Zhu Xingtong looked at her and asked.
"What is your relationship with Senior Brother Liang?" Xu Fanghua asked with his arms folded across his chest.
"Are you interrogating me?"
"I'm just asking."
"You..." Xu Fanghua was about to speak when she suddenly looked towards the door.
Liang Youqing frowned, "Why are you here?"
"I heard that you study with your junior sister in the library every day, so I came to see who is this person who can attract Senior Brother Liang to bow down to you." Xu Fanghua did not hide
"My business has nothing to do with you." Liang Youqing said coldly.
"Yes, it really has nothing to do with me. I just came over to take a look, I didn't do anything. Now that I've seen it, I don't think it's that great!" Xu Fanghua said as she walked out in her high heels. Before she even reached the door, she ran into Lin Huizhu.
"I'm sorry, Fanghua." Lin Huizhu said softly.
"It's okay, you're not so useless just today." Xu Fanghua said indifferently.
"Did you see the person?" Lin Huizhu asked after taking a look inside the library.
"Yes."
"How about it?"
"She's pretty good-looking, and her temperament is no worse than mine, and her temper is no less severe than mine."
"Oh, then Senior Brother Liang didn't blame you, did he?"
Xu Fanghua stopped, glanced at her and said, "Forget it. Senior Brother Liang doesn't like a white flower like you, and I don't like you either."
Lin Huizhu's face turned pale, and she bit her lip and said, "I don't have any."
"You are so petty. Don't tell me about Brother Liang anymore. Do you think I don't know that you are using me as a tool?" Xu Fanghua said and walked away.
Lin Huizhu looked at her back with hatred. Seeing someone looking at her, she immediately lowered her head.
In the library, Liang Youqing looked at Zhu Xingtong with a nervous expression and said, "I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault." Zhu Xingtong raised his head again.
"But this matter was caused by me after all." Liang Youqing breathed a sigh of relief.
"Did Xue Yang say something to you?" Zhu Xingtong looked at him with amusement.
"No, I just feel that I didn't do well and caused you trouble." Liang Youqing explained.
"Nothing, just someone looked at me a few times and said a few insignificant words. I've seen worse things." Zhu Xingtong shook his head.
"I will try my best to solve it myself in the future and not let them disturb you." Liang Youqing promised.
"Do you have a lot of romantic relationships?"
"Not much, not much."
"So what exactly do you think?" Zhu Xingtong decided to play the straight game.
"I want to date you, but I'm afraid you won't agree," Liang Youqing said bluntly. The more they got along, the more he felt that he had good taste and had chosen her so early.
