Chapter 22: Each Has His Own Thoughts

Here, in the jeep, Zhang Tao was also talking to Liang Cheng.

"Your brother-in-law is quite interesting!" Zhang Tao said while driving.

Liang Cheng nodded. "He's a good person. No wonder Yuanyuan fell for him." He had only come to see Liang Yuan incidentally; his main purpose was to see Zhang Tao. The two of them used to sleep in bunk beds, and even though Zhang Tao had changed his job, their relationship hadn't faded. After all, their friendship was a life-or-death bond.

Zhang Tao smiled and said, "You can rest assured now." He then asked, "What's with that woman who came later today? Is she your ex?"

Liang Cheng nodded, and after a while he said, "It's all in the past. She got married a long time ago."

Zhang Tao heard him seeming a little reluctant, and hurriedly advised: "Don't be foolish. Liu Nian has such good conditions. If I hadn't delayed earlier, you wouldn't have gotten the chance." Then he joked: "If I hadn't changed my career, you might not have had a chance."

Liang Cheng also laughed and said, "Go away. I'm much more handsome than you. By the way, you're not a kid anymore, aren't your uncle and aunt urging you to do it?"

"Push me, of course I shouldn't. Whenever you mention me, I always say I'm busy. I really am busy. I'm only free these two days. On weekdays, I don't go home for half a day or ten days. I'm counting on you getting married and asking my sister-in-law to introduce me to you."

"You are so beautiful." Thinking of Liu Nian and then thinking about Chen Yan's sad face, he suddenly felt that his decision was right.

But Zhu Youliang had just closed the gate when it banged again. It was her sister-in-law and niece.

"Sister-in-law, why are you here?" Zhu Youliang looked at her in confusion and asked.

"Sixth Brother, I'm not saying anything bad about you, but your Ah Tong needs a lesson. Today, a group of kids were playing in the playground, and your Ah Tong would rather play with Chen Xiaofang than our Xiang Xiang. I'm just asking, what does our Xiang Xiang do to her? She's her cousin after all, but she'd rather play with outsiders than her own cousin. This isn't really an insult to Xiang Xiang, do you think I should tell her off?" After saying that, she looked into the room again, "Is Liang Yuan still busy?"

Zhu Youliang naturally believed his daughters and let them into the yard. Then he asked Zhu Xiangxiang, "Xiangxiang, is what my sister-in-law said true?"

Song Hehua immediately said dissatisfiedly: "Sixth Brother, what do you mean? Can I lie to you?"

Zhu Youliang said helplessly, "Sister-in-law, that's not what I meant. Besides, misunderstandings between children are common. Children should solve their own problems. It's not good for us adults to interfere."

Song Hehua immediately turned around and said, "Only children need to be taught. Our Xiangxiang was humiliated by Atong and she's been unhappy since she went home. Where's Atong? Hurry and ask him to come out and apologize."

Liang Yuan came out of the kitchen and said, "Sister-in-law, our Ah Tong is very sensible. Do you think you have any misunderstandings? How about I call Ah Tong out to ask him?"

Song Hehua raised her head and said, "It's okay to ask." Then she sat down.

Zhu Xiangxiang didn't say a word from beginning to end, her eyes fixed on the things on the cabinet in front of the hall that had not been put away yet.

When Liang Yuan saw this, she immediately took out a handful of White Rabbit candies and gave them to her. "Xiangxiang, here you go."

Zhu Xiangxiang quickly took it and said, "Thank you, Aunt Six." She had heard from her younger sister that Aunt Six had White Rabbit candy, which was why she had urged her mother to come to her. She had thought her grandparents would bring back something for her and her brother, but they only brought back a bag of brown sugar and a bag of pastries. The pastries tasted good, but she wanted the White Rabbit candy even more, as she had heard they were bought from Hai City.

Zhu Xingtong was originally exercising in the backyard, but when he heard the voices, he knew he had already arrived in the front yard.

Zhu Youliang immediately said, "Ah Tong, you're here just in time. Your aunt said you said in front of everyone that you didn't want to play with Xiangxiang. Is that true?"

Zhu Xingtong glanced at the guilty Zhu Xiangxiang and shook his head immediately, saying, "It was Sister Xiangxiang who said that if we play with Chen Xiaofang, she won't play with us."

Song Hehua heard this and said, "Sixth Brother, did you hear that? I didn't wrongly accuse your Ah Tong."

Liang Yuan immediately said, "Sister-in-law, this is you being unreasonable. Does our Ah Tong need Xiangxiang's permission before he can play with anyone?"

Song Hehua was about to nod, but suddenly realized something was wrong. She turned to Zhu Xiangxiang and asked, "Xiangxiang, didn't you tell me that at home?" Then she turned to look at Zhu Xingtong and said, "Tong, don't lie. The children who were there can all vouch for your sister Xiangxiang."

Zhu Xingtong said speechlessly: "I didn't lie."

Zhu Xiangxiang tugged at Song Hehua's clothes and said, "Mom, you misunderstood. Ah Tong didn't lie. This is my fault. I thought you came here to apologize."

"What? Why don't you explain clearly, kid?" Song Hehua said, then turned embarrassedly to Zhu Xingtong and said: "Atong, it's my aunt's fault. I wrongly blamed you. You are a good boy. Can you forgive me?" After saying that, she smiled awkwardly at Liang Yuan and Zhu Youliang.

Zhu Xingtong wanted to finish the problem as soon as possible so that he could go back to exercise, so he nodded immediately.

Although Zhu Youliang was angry, he didn't say much.

Liang Yuan said, "Forget it this time, but next time, sister-in-law, please don't wrongly accuse our A-Tong without knowing right from wrong."

Song Hehua didn't agree, but nodded anyway, pulled Zhu Xiangxiang out, and said, "You guys are busy, we're going home first."

When they got outside the courtyard, she reached into Zhu Xiangxiang's pocket and said, "Eat less. Leave some for your big brother and little brother."

Zhu Xiangxiang said, "Sixth Aunt is so stingy. She only gave me these few of the whole bag of White Rabbit candies."

Song Hehua: "Hey, kid, you're so ungrateful. Giving you this much is already good enough, but you still think it's not enough. Tell me why you didn't explain clearly, you made me lose face."
