The next day, Zhu Youliang got up at dawn, made a simple pancake, and went out. After walking for almost an hour, he finally arrived at the entrance of the agricultural machinery station. He was almost exhausted. The agricultural machinery station at that time was very shabby, just a large courtyard with a few bungalows. When he arrived, someone was already talking inside. Uncle Liu, the gatekeeper, asked him who he was looking for. When he heard that he was looking for Chen Dafa, he didn't let him in, saying that the stationmaster hadn't arrived yet.

Zhu Youliang followed him all the way to the westernmost bungalow. Pointing to a table at the outermost end, he said, "You'll sit here from now on. See the box down there? It's filled with labor protection supplies. As for the car repair tools, you'll need to go to the warehouse to get them. I'll have Xiao Wu show you around later."
After saying that, he looked at Wu Dahai who was still eating breakfast across from him and said, "Xiao Wu, this is Zhu Youliang. He just arrived, please take care of him."
Wu Dahai was a fat man. He stopped eating his noodles upon hearing this. He quickly stood up and said, "Wu Dahai. Welcome, Comrade Zhu Youliang."
Zhu Youliang shook hands with him and said, "I'm new here and don't know much. Please take care of me."
Seeing him coming forward, Wu Dahai hurriedly said, "Okay, if you have anything, just call me directly."
When Chen Dafa saw it, he said, "I have food. Come with me to the office first."
Chen Dafa's office wasn't big, just a cabinet and a desk. He poured Zhu Youliang a glass of water before saying, "Give it a couple of days to get used to it. Ask Wu Dahai if you have any questions. He's a bit of a nag and his skills aren't great, but otherwise he's fine. Oh, and I forgot to tell you about your salary. Since you're a temporary employee, we'll pay you eight yuan a month. That's quite a bit. Regular employees only make two yuan more. Of course, if you work hard, you'll definitely have the chance to become a regular employee."
Zhu Youliang said quickly, "Thank you, Stationmaster Chen. I understand."
"Okay, then, go ahead and get busy. I'll call you if anything's needed. If you need anything, you can always come ask me." Chen Dafa said, then waved his hand. The other day, when he went home, he was scolded by his wife. She asked why he didn't ask her nephew for such a good opportunity. And when she heard he'd found a country boy for his daughter, she got even angrier. But the words were already out, and naturally, it was hard to change them. He hadn't had a good time these past few days.
Zhu Youliang nodded and went out. On the way, he met a middle-aged man. After seeing him, one of them stopped him and asked, "Are you the one who repaired the tractor in Wangjia Village?"
Zhu Youliang looked at his expression and felt that he had bad intentions, so he just nodded.
The middle-aged man looked him up and down, snorted coldly, and went into the bungalow next door.
Zhu Youliang adhered to the principle of "less trouble is worse than more" and went into his room without thinking much.
When Wu Dahai saw him come in, he immediately said, "You've offended Engineer Jiang now."
Zhu Youliang smiled without saying anything and sat down in his seat.
Wu Dahai, however, couldn't sit still and tilted his chin towards him. "Hey, what's your relationship with Station Master Chen?"
"It doesn't matter. He heard that I can repair tractors, so he asked me to come over." Zhu Youliang answered honestly.
"Hey, you're pretty tight-lipped." Wu Dahai didn't ask any more questions. Instead, he glanced at the empty seat next to him and whispered to Zhu Youliang, "Don't blame me for not reminding you. The person sitting next to me is very important. You can't afford to offend him."
Zhu Youliang nodded, and seeing that he had nothing to do, he said, "Brother Liu, can you take me to the warehouse?"
Wu Dahai was puzzled: "What are you going to the warehouse for?"
"Let's see what tools are available." Zhu Youliang explained.
"What good things can we find in this shabby place except some old wrenches and pliers? People outside say that our agricultural machinery station has poor technology, but they don't think about the fact that even a good cook cannot cook without rice." Wu Dahai said, shaking his head.
As they were talking, a young man in a Zhongshan suit walked in. He had a popular square face, thick eyebrows and big eyes, and wore a pair of glasses, looking quite bookish.
When Wu Dahai saw him coming, he immediately stood up and pulled out a chair for him. He said with a cheeky face, "Mr. Zhang, you're here. Have you had breakfast?"
Engineer Zhang nodded and sat down before saying, "Engineer Wu, I've told you many times that you don't have to pull out the chair for me next time."
"Yes, yes, I forgot again. Engineer Zhang is truly highly conscious." Wu Dahai noticed Zhang Yuan looking at Zhu Youliang and hurriedly introduced him, "This is our new colleague, Zhu Youliang."
Zhang Yuan nodded, and without waiting for Zhu Youliang to greet him, he lowered his head to look at the book in his hand.
Zhu Youliang didn't care. He glanced at the book in his hand and found that it was a high school math textbook.
He didn't ask much. When he was on Planet 233, he was treated much colder than here, so this was nothing.
Wu Dahai looked at Zhang Yuan, who was reading seriously, and stood up. "Mr. Zhu, didn't you just ask me to take you to the warehouse? Come on, I'll take you there right away."
Zhang Yuan was in agony whenever he read. Even the slightest noise, like drinking water, would irritate him, so he always tried to leave. Originally, there were four people living in this room, but because of Zhang Yuan's problem, one moved next door and another quit. The key is, you can't stop people from reading.
