Gu Nian never went on stage to fight; she was either showing it to Madam Xue, Princess Kang, or Jing He.
Gu Nian thought that the Kang family knew about her relationship with Li Muyan, and that it would be somewhat awkward for them to be around her. Unfortunately, the family seemed to have no idea about it at all.
It's not that there was no such thing as her and Li Muyan, just like there was no such thing as Princess Jinghe and Li Muyan getting engaged.
The Kang family treated her no differently than they treated the rest of the Gu family.
Gu Xin didn't play at the table either. She taught the boys' table how to play, and then played with Gu Ren.
Gu Ren got tired of playing, and since a child's body can't keep up, he fell asleep in Gu Xin's arms.
Gu Xin noticed that her sister seemed listless and thought about what had happened that morning, feeling a little sorry for her sister.

As the two sisters walked, they arrived at the bustling city center in the north of the city, the place where they had a conflict with someone during the day.
Gu Nian looked at the restaurant and felt a little tempted to go for a drink, but holding Gu Xin's hand, she naturally wouldn't go. Besides, this was the capital, not Zhoujia Town. What if she got drunk?
Suddenly, a man appeared staggering in the restaurant; he was clearly drunk.
After Gu Xin saw clearly, she pulled Gu Nian and turned around: "Sister, let's go shopping over there!"
Gu Nian also saw the person clearly, and without objection, followed Gu Xin in another direction.
She could hear the indistinct conversation of people in the restaurant behind her.
