Chapter 1779 Danger is Coming

Gu Xin and Ajir have already fought their way to another ship, where there are no more Yunhai people putting up a fight.

Lu Zheng instructed his men to tidy up the ship and headed towards Gu Xin and Ajir's ship.

As night fell, Ajir and Gu Xin were still locked in a battle.

Even though some members of the Quicksand Army went to help Gu Xin, they still couldn't hurt Agil, which made the situation very strange.

Now, both Gu Xin and Ajir are injured, and both of them are exhausted.

"Click!"

As darkness fell completely, a bolt of lightning flashed across the sky without warning.

"Boom!"

Then came the sound of thunder.

This is a rare sight for people in the west. Apart from the soldiers of the Great Zhou, the soldiers of the other sides have all grown up near the desert and rarely see rain.

The ship was rocking quite a bit, and the waves at sea were getting bigger.

Lu Zheng sensed it as soon as he stepped onto Gu Xin's boat. He frowned and looked at the sea. This bad weather was probably going to cause trouble!

Seeing that Gu Xin was doing well for the time being, Lu Zheng turned around and went to find Peng Silang.

"Have your men search the cabins, and take away all the survivors and anything they find!" Lu Zheng ordered.

"Alright!" Peng Silang nodded. This chase was worthwhile; there was so much gold! He looked towards Gu Xin, "Brother Yuan, hurry and help Xin Xin. Capture that princess. I see the sea is turbulent; there might be a big storm!"

"Yes, that's why I let you lead everyone back to shore first. Quickly give the orders, I'm going to Xin Xin's side!" Lu Zheng nodded and instructed.

Peng Silang was a soldier in the naval camp. Although the soldiers of the Kuncheng naval camp were stationed on the Kun River, and the situation on the river was different from that at sea, Lu Zheng was still a little uneasy.

He had never seen such rough seas before, but he had heard about them in his previous life. He had to help Gu Xin and quickly capture Ajir.

Peng Silang had already run off to tell the soldiers on the ship to hurry up and get ashore, to stop dawdling, because a storm was coming.

When Lu Zheng returned to the ship, the wind was noticeably stronger.

Lu Zheng could still hear the whooshing sound; as the wind picked up, the waves grew larger, and the ship rocked incessantly.

"Hahahaha, Dugu Xin, you can't kill me. I'll make you pay with your life!" Ajir's maniacal laughter echoed from inside the cabin.

Lu Zheng panicked even more and quickly ran towards the cabin.

When he arrived, the two women were wrestling together, like two country girls with no martial arts skills, pulling each other's hair and scratching each other's faces.

Lu Zheng drew his sword and walked over, intending to launch a sneak attack on Agil.

"Click!"

Before he could even reach the ship, lightning struck it, splitting it in two.

"Hurry, hurry!"

"Run! Everyone be careful! Don't let the surrendered soldiers from Yunhai launch a sneak attack!"

The shouts from the shore gradually subsided, while the wind grew stronger.

The lightning stopped Lu Zheng's movements and alerted Ajir to Lu Zheng's presence. She quickly escaped and moved away from Gu Xin.

"Hmph, are you going to send another one to be buried with me?" Agil put her hands behind her back, unnoticed by Gu Xin and Lu Zheng, as she took something out of her belt.

“Xinxin, let’s go left and right!” Lu Zheng said.

"Okay! Be careful!" Gu Xin nodded and gave her instructions.

The two attacked Agil from both sides simultaneously, but whether Agil was truly lucky or it was just a coincidence, the ship on Lu Zheng's side was split in two and was clearly sinking towards Lu Zheng's side. Moreover, the strong wind blew them further and further away from the shore.
