When Gu Xin finished getting ready and went outside, she realized that the sun was high in the sky and it was already noon.
She didn't see Lu Zheng after opening the door, and felt a little disappointed. Why did he run away?
"Cough cough." Then, a coughing sound came from the side.
Gu Xin turned her head and saw Lu Zheng with his arms crossed, one foot on the ground and the other raised behind him against the wall. He looked at her with a smile in his eyes.
"Has Your Highness finished preparing? Would you like some food?" Lu Zheng asked with a smile.
"Alright, little Zhengzi, you can serve this princess her meal!" Gu Xin put her hands behind her back, raised her chin, and walked step by step toward Lu Zheng.
Lu Zheng looked at her with a smile.
"Why aren't you moving? Do I have to say it again?" Gu Xin pouted as she walked up to Lu Zheng and saw that he still hadn't reacted.
Lu Zheng stood up straight, leaned down and pecked her on the lips.
Gu Xin was stunned for a moment, then punched him in the chest, slamming him against the wall: "Half a month has passed, and you've gotten quite bold, little Zhengzi, daring to take liberties with this princess."
Lu Zheng laughed and said, "Princess, please forgive me. My actions were beyond my control; I couldn't help myself."
Gu Xin couldn't help but laugh.
The two of them just stared at each other and chuckled for a while.
Winter Snow appeared and then returned; she didn't want to disturb the good time between their third daughter and her future son-in-law.
"Brother Yuanyuan, what brings you here? When did you arrive? Why didn't you wake me up?" After the laughter and playfulness subsided, Gu Xin grabbed Lu Zheng's hand and shook it as she asked.
"If I don't come soon, I'm afraid some ungrateful little thing will forget about me!" Lu Zheng flicked Gu Xin's nose and laughed, "What, is Taizhou so much fun? Don't you want to go back to Beijing?"
"Yes, yes! I'm such a heartless little devil, I just love to play! Once I start playing, I forget that there's an old man waiting for me in the capital!" Gu Xin grinned.
"Hmph, you're now complaining that I'm old? I'm very young. When I arrived in Taizhou this morning, I saw quite a few girls looking at me!" Lu Zheng said.
“Then the ones I like, no matter how old, are still the best! Let them look, it’s no loss for me to look, and it’s no loss for you either, right?” Gu Xin wasn’t jealous at all.
Lu Zheng smiled helplessly and pinched her cheek, then frowned: "You look like you've lost weight. No, I'll take you to eat something delicious later. Let's walk slowly on the way back and eat more."
Gu Xin sighed, "You won't admit you're old. You're just like my grandpa, my uncle, and my dad. How could I have lost weight? It's only been half a month since I last saw you! My sister said there's a kind of thinness that elders think you've lost weight. What, Prince Lu, just because you're older than me, does that mean you can be my elder?"
Lu Zheng tapped her on the head: "You little rascal, I can't argue with you."
Gu Xin shook her head smugly.
Lu Zheng took her hand in return: "Let's go, let's get something to eat! I already told Dongxue to tell the kitchen when we came out, the food is all ready. Enzi and the others should be up by now."
Gu Xin nodded happily, letting Lu Zheng pull her towards the kitchen.
Zheng Qiu lived next door to Gu Xin. After the two had been arguing for so long without making a sound, Gu Xin guessed that Zheng Qiu had also gotten up.
They usually have very regular schedules when they're not busy, so these few days won't cause them any problems.
I can sleep until noon at most, just to catch up on the sleep I missed in the past few days.
Like Gu Xin, no matter how much she drinks, she can get up on time as long as she wants.
