"These are loofahs. We didn't build them a trellis or put up any poles, so they're all on the ground now. And these are green beans and cowpeas too. Hmm, tomatoes, that's right, I'm not mistaken. So the family of four went to get some things to pick these vegetables.
We picked a whole basin of strawberries, a whole basket of cowpeas and green beans, and a whole basket of loofahs and tomatoes.
We left the cabbages and watermelons in the field, but we still picked one watermelon to take back to the house to eat.
It's best not to eat too much watermelon in the dead of winter, as it's a cooling food and eating too much can upset your stomach.
