Chapter 1961 is missing.

"Alright, Young Master Lu, I have said all I needed to say." Master Liaowu put down his teacup and looked at Lu Zheng. "Young Master Lu, please return! All of this is what you wished for, so you should cherish it. I also wish you and Miss Gu a happy ending."

“Master, I have one last question. Is it feasible?” Lu Zheng paused for a moment, then asked.

“Alright.” Master Liaowu nodded.

"The master said he wanted to return to that world. I want to ask, will that world change? Or will it still be the same as before?" Lu Zheng pondered for a while, organized his thoughts, and asked.

He felt something was off when he asked the question, as if there was something wrong with what he said, but he believed that Master Liaowu would understand.

"You said you would trade your wealth, status, fame, and everything you have for all of this. If I were to tell you that in that world, things would be the same as before, but you would have lost your wealth, status, fame, and everything you have, what would you do?" Master Liaowu asked rhetorically.

For some reason, a scene suddenly flashed into Lu Zheng's mind.

After collecting the hair, nails, and blood essence of forty-nine girls, he sent them to Master Liaowu, but failed. Master Liaowu told him it was absolutely impossible.

He panicked and became afraid.

Then he appeared on the street, dressed in rags, like a rat crossing the street, hated and beaten by everyone.

Then, he drank poison while hugging Gu Xin's tombstone at her grave and died.

When Lu Zheng came to his senses from the scene, his forehead was covered in a fine layer of sweat.

"master……"

He called out instinctively, only to find that there was no one in front of him, not even the low table or teacup.

He got up, ran out, grabbed a young novice monk, and asked, "Little master, may I ask which direction Master Liaowu went?"

Little novice monk: "?"

The young novice asked in confusion, "Benefactor, there is no Master Liaowu at Xiangguo Temple. Are you mistaken?"

Lu Zheng was taken aback: "Isn't the somewhat chubby master of your Xiangguo Temple, who is of the same generation as the abbot, Master Liaowu?"

The young novice monk shook his head: "You must be mistaken. The disciples of Xiangguo Temple do not have generational names. The abbots and other senior monks belong to the Zhi generation."

Lu Zheng was stunned.

The young novice monk looked at Lu Zheng with concern: "Benefactor, are you feeling unwell? Should I contact your family?"

Lu Zheng shook his head: "I'm fine, little master, you can go back to your work!"

The young novice monk was still worried and planned to go find the people who came with Lu Zheng.

Lu Zheng turned to look at Master Wu's room, but there was no room there. It was just an open space with firewood piled up next to it and several large water vats. This was the kitchen area.

After standing there for a while, Lu Zheng finally came to his senses when the young novice monk brought Gu Xin over.

"Brother Yuanyuan, what are you doing here? I've been looking for you for ages!" Gu Xin jogged up to him, looking at Lu Zheng with a frustrated expression.

Seeing that the two were talking, the young novice monk withdrew.

“Xin Xin, that fat monk…” Lu Zheng was about to say that he hadn’t seen the fat monk, but Gu Xin interrupted him.

"What fat monk? What are you talking about, Brother Yuanyuan? There's no fat monk here. Let's go, let's go home!" Gu Xin pulled Lu Zheng away.

"Didn't you encounter the fat monk?" Lu Zheng asked as they walked.

"Where are you going to find a fat monk? What are you talking about, Brother Yuanyuan? I've never seen a fat monk before!" Gu Xin said.
