Chapter 166 The Complainant Arrives

"A few more days." Lu Zheng nodded and smiled.

"Oh, Sisi and I are going to find Aunt Xiaohuan. Goodbye, Young Master Zhou!" Gu Xin waved and then took Gu Si's hand and headed towards the Yang family's house.

Lu Zheng looked at Gu Xin's messy hair and laughed. Xin'er was really cute when she was little!

He didn't look at it much and prepared to turn around and go back.

"Sister Xin Xin, I think I saw that Mr. Zhou laughing at your hair," Gu Si whispered.

“It’s okay! My sister said we shouldn’t care about the opinions of strangers!” Gu Xin said.

"Yes, Sister Niannian is right!" Gu thought about it and agreed, so he stopped talking.

Lu Zheng, an unrelated person, paused in his tracks: "..."

...

That evening, the Gu family of four was having dinner at their old house when someone started banging loudly on the door.

"In-laws! Open the door! Open the door, in-laws!"

Upon hearing the sound, Gu En ran to open the door.

It was his maternal grandmother, Madam Wang, the old lady of the Zhang family, who came.

Normally, Wang treated Gu En quite well. Zhang's preference for sons over daughters was inherited from her mother. In any case, she liked any grandson, whether it was a granddaughter or a grandson-son.

"Grandma, you've come to see Mom and Renren?" Gu En opened the door, and as soon as she finished speaking, she saw her cousin Zhang Xiaohu, who was covered in dirt, had a bump on his forehead, and still had tears in his eyes.

This was only because Wang was carrying an oil lamp; otherwise, it would have been pitch black and he wouldn't have been able to see clearly.

"Get out of the way! Who's looking at your mother? I'm looking for your grandparents!" Wang Shi held an oil lamp in one hand and Zhang Xiaohu's hand in the other. Behind them were Zhang Dahu and Wang Shi's daughter-in-law, Gao Shi, who was also Gu En's aunt.

Gu En hadn't realized why his grandmother was being so fierce today.

"Mother-in-law, mother-in-law, you must give me an explanation for what happened today!" Wang led Zhang Xiaohu to the kitchen and pushed the child directly in front of the two elderly people.

"Oh dear, what happened to Xiaohu? Did you bump your head?" Grandpa Gu asked with concern.

"Hey Wang Dahua, your grandson got hurt, what kind of explanation do you expect from us? Are you out of your mind?" Grandma Gu glanced at Zhang Xiaohu, then looked at Wang Shi speechlessly.

"Hey! You two, stop your back-and-forth! Xiao Hu, tell your Grandpa and Grandma Gu, how did you get into this situation?" Wang Shi shoved Wang Xiao Hu and glared fiercely at Gu Xin.

Wang is an interesting person. She usually looks down on her granddaughters, but when she compares her granddaughters with those of other people, she naturally thinks the other people's granddaughters are more hateful.

So when Wang Xiaohu said that Gu Xin and Gu Si bullied him and hit him, she only had Gu Xin in her mind and not her granddaughter Gu Si.

The Gu family all saw the look in her eyes, but they couldn't quite believe it.

Usually, Xinxin is the one who gets bullied. Sisi basically doesn't play with other kids. Besides, both girls are thin and small. How could they possibly bully Wang Xiaohu, who's as big as a calf?

Gu Xin lowered her head guiltily. This Wang Xiaohu, I didn't even go home to complain, but you came to my door with your parents instead?

You're just a tattletale, a paper tiger!

"Grandpa Gu, Grandma Gu, it was Er Ya who hit me, and she even said she would smash my head open with a rock!" Wang Xiaohu pitifully complained to the other family patriarch, pointing his dark little hand at Gu Xin and Gu Si.

The two sisters happened to be sitting on a bench.

"Little Tiger, we have two daughters in our family. Which daughter are you talking about?" Uncle Gu asked.
