"Yes, Hanhan, we really just came to bring you food because we were worried you were hungry."
The two of them felt incredibly sorry for each other listening to the crying inside, but all they could hear were cries and curses telling them to get out.
Seeing how agitated their child was, Wei Xin and his wife didn't dare to disturb him any further. Wei Xin pulled his wife, who was about to knock on the door again to persuade him, back inside. "Let the child calm down first. This can't be rushed."
Wei Xin and his companion left reluctantly, turning back to look at each other every few steps.
But when she got back, Madam Wei couldn't sit still. She couldn't let her child embarrass herself like that!
So she was about to step out when Wei Xin thought she was going to strangle her older brother again, so he quickly stopped her and asked, "Where are you going?"
"I'll run the errand for Hanhan!"
Madam Wei Xin firmly stated that she was already quite old, and both of her sons were married, so there was no point in keeping her face; she might as well use it to take her children's place.
Wei Xin was deeply moved by his wife, his face etched with emotion, "I'll go with you!"
So, outside the palace, a crowd gathered in circles, pointing and whispering about the two people who were running around the palace, panting and shouting "I'm an ugly monster."
"Who are these two? Are they sick in the head?"
One person pointed to his head and discussed it with his companion who had come to watch the spectacle.
"There's a mentally challenged guy next door to me. He drools and grins at people all the time. But look at those two, they don't drool or grin, they seem pretty normal, not like they're mentally challenged!"
The two people who were running over and leaning against the wall, panting, wanted to yell at him, "You're the idiot! Your whole family are idiots!"
But I'd used all my energy running and chanting slogans, so I didn't have the strength to curse. I just rolled my eyes at them and continued running and chanting.
Then someone else said, "Look at their clothes, they're made of the finest materials, and their jewelry is extraordinary. They don't look like ordinary people. Could they be performing some kind of ritual?"
