Chuanwu then dragged his good brother-in-law, or rather, his great nemesis, to the table. They toasted and drank, and he kept pouring him wine, fearing that if he didn't get drunk, he would hear more of Chuanwen's unreliable thoughts and change his mind.
Su Heng cooperated readily, but Chuanwu was unaware that he was a heavy drinker. However, he could feign drunkenness.
As it turned out, pretending to be drunk could dodge many people who came to toast him and deal with all sorts of messy situations, so when he got home, he still had the energy to buy and wash vegetables to prepare for feeding Chuanwen the next day.
While Su Heng was busy with his work, Chuanwen tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep. She suddenly got up, dressed, and decided to squeeze into Xu Yan's bed.
But when she arrived, she found that her parents were not there. She asked the maid in the courtyard and learned that they had gone to her adoptive grandmother's place, so she changed her route.
When she arrived, she was surprised to find her uncle-in-law there, along with her brother Chuanwu. The group huddled together, seemingly discussing some important secret.
When they saw her arrive, they all smiled broadly, as if they weren't the ones who had been whispering amongst themselves just moments before.

Marquis Changxing quickly interrupted Chuanwen to look through her script and asked her, "Why aren't you asleep yet, it's so late?"
Chuanwen, who was interrupted, didn't know what to say. He couldn't very well say that he was sad because he couldn't have two relationships at the same time, so he could only say, "I can't sleep."
Then, with her eyes sparkling, she asked them, "What are you discussing?"
Faced with Chuanwen's eagerness to eavesdrop, everyone exchanged awkward glances. They couldn't very well say that they were discussing how to propose to the Emperor a reasonable and unsuspecting way to transfer Zheng Yan away from Chuanwen's side.
After all, Zheng Yan had already confessed his feelings to Xiao Wen. What if, after Su Heng left, Xiao Wen couldn't resist the temptation and did something to betray Su Heng? How would they explain it to him when he came back?
