Chuanwen assassinated

However, Erzhu was originally a commoner, so it's understandable that his ambitions were dulled. But he was a prince, someone who was just one step away from ascending the throne. How could he be willing to accept that?

He wants power, no matter the cost!

When news of Chuanwen's assassination attempt by Xiao Huai reached the palace, Xiao Yi and Zhang Qing were both startled. They were relieved to learn that Chuanwen was unharmed.

"I think I should go see him."

Xiao Yi sighed, and Zhang Qing didn't object, only telling him to be careful.

A day later, Xiao Yi came to the prison and sat face to face with Xiao Huai.

"You've seen what the Great Jin Dynasty is like these past two days, haven't you? Do you think you still have a chance?"

Xiao Yi brought some snacks and food.

Only by understanding can one find an opportunity to defeat the enemy; otherwise, he will always be like a headless fly, only to be repeatedly swatted into prison.

However, this understanding would last a lifetime, because the Great Jin Dynasty was not static; it was changing as he came to understand it. He died without ever having properly organized his own rebellion team.
