Chapter 148 You're Drunk (Part Two)

Xu Yanqing has always done what he wants. After realizing that he liked Amy, he pursued her. They started dating after graduating from university and have been together for five or six years. They agreed that they would make it official if only one of them wanted to get married.

To date, however, they have both prioritized their careers and have not considered getting married.

This is why Xu Yanqing was so easily summoned by Amy.

Qiao Nansheng didn't know at first, but after Xu Yanqing taught her, she went to the back and sat with Amy.

The two were talking together when she saw Xu Yanqing quickly kiss Amy on the cheek in the mirror while she was practicing dancing.

When Qiao Nansheng saw it, she was startled. Afraid that they would find out that she was peeping, she quickly looked away and pretended that she hadn't seen anything and continued to practice dancing.

Qiao Nansheng finished training a little after 6 p.m.

Amy stood up with a smile: "Xiao Qiao, let's call it a day for training. Starting tomorrow, we'll be training until 8 p.m. Remember to get some rest when you get home tonight, you'll probably be very tired tomorrow."

She had just discussed it with Xu Yanqing and decided to adopt a grueling training method for her.

If dancing is all she knows, then she should focus on practicing it. She has a good foundation, so she can make dancing her specialty and use it to her advantage in the future.

Qiao Nansheng nodded and replied, "Okay."

She went to the lounge to change out of her training clothes, put on a thick down jacket, grabbed her bag, said goodbye to Amy and Xu Yanqing, and then turned and left.

After leaving Huaying in the elevator, Qiao Nansheng finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Who knows that the image of Xu Yanqing kissing Amy during training had been playing in her mind all afternoon. Every time Xu Yanqing came over to teach her new moves and postures after he had rested, she felt uncomfortable all over.

As Qiao Nansheng pondered, she suddenly thought of Zhou Cheng again.

That guy did the same thing last time... He just messed around in the training room, completely unafraid of being discovered.

Both are award-winning actors, and they even kissed in the training room... Is this a special quirk of award-winning actors?

Thinking of this, Qiao Nansheng's expression became strange. She found Zhou Cheng's car by the roadside, ran over, opened the car door and got in. She saw that the person who picked her up was Zhou Cheng.

"You gave Sheng Zhuo another day off?" she asked curiously.

"No," Zhou Cheng said calmly. "I sent him to do other things."

He rarely went to the company. Going there too often and always running to the general office would arouse suspicion, so he asked Sheng Zhuo to handle things for him.

"Oh, okay." Qiao Nansheng nodded, then frowned in confusion as she noticed he wasn't driving the way home. "Where are we going?"

"Have a meal."

"oh."

Half an hour later, the car arrived at its destination.

After parking the car, the two got out one after the other.

Qiao Nansheng followed Zhou Cheng into a restaurant.

He was fully armed when he went in. Qiao Nansheng's popularity on Weibo was only high for a day or two, and then it dropped. People quickly forgot who she was. When they saw her, they would feel that she looked somewhat familiar, but it was hard to remember who she was for a moment.

They entered the restaurant without any problems. Zhou Cheng spoke with the front desk and a waiter, and soon someone came out to lead them to a private room.

This is a popular online store, with high prices, and it caters to many celebrities and wealthy people. So, they didn't find it strange to see Zhou Cheng wearing a hat and mask to cover himself up completely.

The waiter led them to the door of the private room, handed the room key to Zhou Cheng, said "Enjoy your meal," and then turned and left.

Zhou Cheng took the room card, swiped it to enter, and turned around to find Qiao Nansheng still standing at the door. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "Aren't you coming in?"

Qiao Nansheng turned her head and looked around. "Why did you bring me here?"

She had observed this when she arrived; almost everyone eating here was a couple. Although she and Zhou Cheng were married, their relationship... was just so-so.

Could he be secretly plotting something she doesn't know about?

Qiao Nansheng looked at Zhou Cheng with suspicion in her eyes.

The man's face darkened: "What else can we do if we come to a restaurant but not eat?" He said, walking over, grabbing her hand, forcefully pulling her inside, and then closing the door.

Qiao Nansheng's heart pounded. She glanced back at the closed door, then at Zhou Cheng, and silently distanced herself from him.

Zhou Cheng pursed his lips, said nothing, and walked over to the dining table.

"If you don't come over soon, the food will get cold." He sat down and reminded her when she still hadn't come over.

Upon hearing this, Qiao Nansheng slowly walked over.

Seeing the dishes laid out on the table, all still steaming hot, they must have been served recently. There were ten dishes and a soup, eight of which were her favorites.

The foodie Qiao Nansheng immediately put everything else aside and happily went over to pull out a chair to sit down, only to find a bouquet of red roses on the chair.

She paused, looked up at Zhou Cheng: "You bought it?"

"No," he denied. "It was a complimentary gift from the restaurant; the couple's meal included flowers."

Qiao Nansheng had no suspicions, picked up the red rose, put it aside, and sat down.

Zhou Cheng opened a glass of red wine, poured it for her, and pushed the glass over.

Qiao Nansheng was a little thirsty. Seeing that there was only red wine and no other drinks, and thinking that he had nothing to do that night, he figured he might as well get drunk. So he picked up the glass and drank the red wine in one gulp, just like he was drinking water.

She had a good alcohol tolerance; after downing most of a glass, she didn't feel any discomfort and pushed the cup further towards Zhou Cheng.

"Pour me some more."

Zhou Cheng's lips moved as he watched her down more than half a glass of red wine in one gulp. He wanted to remind her that the wine was very strong, but seeing that she didn't seem to feel any discomfort after drinking half a glass, he didn't say anything and silently refilled her glass.

Zhou Cheng wasn't a talkative person; he was quiet during meals. Qiao Nansheng enjoyed lively gatherings, but she rarely spoke when she was with Zhou Cheng, afraid of saying something wrong and offending him.

But today, under the influence of alcohol, she kept chattering away during the meal, trying to find topics to talk about, and she never stopped.

Zhou Cheng found it noisy and was annoyed, but seeing how happy she was talking, he had no choice but to put up with it.

The two finished eating at 7:30 pm, and Qiao Nansheng drank half of the bottle of red wine.

She seemed completely oblivious to being intoxicated, drinking the red wine as if it were water.

"Can we walk?" Zhou Cheng stood up and asked the woman opposite him who was staring at him in a daze.

The aftereffects of the red wine were slowly kicking in. Qiao Nansheng was stunned when she heard his voice, then looked up at him with a blank and innocent expression.

"Huh? What did you just say?"

"..."

Zhou Cheng met her doe-like, moist eyes, then looked at the red wine that was only a third full, and his lips moved: "Are you drunk?"

"Huh? Who's drunk? Are you talking about me? I'm not drunk." Qiao Nansheng said, standing up as if to prove to him that she wasn't drunk, and strode forward.
