Qiao Nansheng was tired, so she squatted down on the ground and counted ants without any regard for her image. Sheng Zhuo would be here in a while.
Suddenly, a BMW screeched to a halt on the side of the road. The sound of its brakes made Qiao Nansheng's ears ring. She covered her ears and looked up, her face full of displeasure. Who the hell is crazy? Didn't they see someone on the side of the road?
But then the car window rolled down, revealing a familiar face—it was Tang Xuerou.
Qiao Nansheng would never forget this face, even if it turned to ashes. Not to mention her, Zhou Cheng would too.

"Nan Sheng?" Tang Xuerou called out again when she saw that Nan Sheng hadn't spoken yet, "Are you alright?"
Qiao Nansheng shook her head, pushed Tang Xuerou away, and took a few steps back to create some distance. "It's nothing. What are you doing here?"
Her deliberate distancing made Tang Xuerou frown unconsciously. Why was Nan Sheng being distant with her? Could it be that someone had said something to her?
With a hint of doubt in her heart, Tang Xuerou put on a gentle smile: "I just got back from a business trip. I didn't expect to see you here. Are you going back? Let me take you."
"No need!" Qiao Nansheng refused loudly. Seeing Tang Xuerou's strange expression, she realized that she might have overreacted and smiled at her embarrassedly: "I mean, I just called Sheng Zhuo and he will come to pick us up soon."
Tang Xuerou then noticed Liu Xu standing behind her and the shopping bags hanging on her body. Her eyes flickered slightly, and she nodded, "Since that's the case, I won't force you to go.
