Chapter 31 Waaaa, Zhou Cheng, you bastard! I'll never forgive you!

Qiao Nansheng was still wearing socks, which were sweaty and smelly from playing with the children, but he didn't mind the dirt. He held her right foot and took off her socks.

Looking at the ankle that was swollen like a pig's trotter, Zhou Cheng's brows furrowed in worry.

Qiao Nansheng heard him scolding her: "You're such a grown-up, always getting hurt here and there. Are you a child?"

His tone was one of disappointment and helplessness.

In just over a month, I injured myself several times, which made people angry, helpless, and amused.

Little Qiao wiggled her soft, white feet and said innocently, "What can I do? I'm so desperate! If I'm this unlucky... Ouch, be gentle... Don't poke me, it hurts... Ah~"

She gasped and tried to pull her foot back, but Zhou Cheng pressed her down forcefully.

"Don't move," he warned coldly.

Qiao Nansheng's eyes welled up with tears from the pain. "Then be gentle! How can I not move when you're using so much force?"

"..."

He didn't respond, and his grip loosened considerably, even though he hadn't used much force to begin with.

After a while, Zhou Cheng spoke up: "It seems like your bone is dislocated. Shall I fix it for you?"

Qiao Nansheng's body trembled, then she shook her head violently, "I won't..."

She had only uttered two words when Zhou Cheng grabbed her foot and twisted it violently!

A piercing pain shot through her, and Qiao Nansheng screamed "Ah!" Her scream nearly made the spatula she was using to stir-fry food in the kitchen fall to the ground.

"Waaaaah, Zhou Cheng, you bastard! I'll never forgive you!" Qiao Nansheng's tears fell in a stream, and she flailed her arms wildly at him in pain.

It hurt her terribly.

Zhou Cheng leaned back slightly to dodge her attack, pinched her foot with his left hand, and sprayed Yunnan Baiyao on the swollen area with his right hand. "It should be better now. Try standing up and walking a few steps."

Qiao Nansheng was taken aback and looked down at the smelly red pig's trotters that smelled of Yunnan Baiyao.

"Okay, all done?"

"Um."

Qiao Nansheng wiped away the tears on her face, took a few steps after landing, and found that it really didn't hurt anymore. Apart from her foot still being swollen, there was only a slight stinging sensation that hadn't subsided.

"It really doesn't hurt anymore!" she said happily, jumping up and down on the spot, laughing like a fool.

"Don't jump around, be careful not to twist your ankle again," Zhou Cheng reminded her, leaving the Yunnan Baiyao on the coffee table, carrying the medicine box to put it away, and then washing his hands.

"Oh, oh." Qiao Nansheng nodded slowly, picked up the socks and put them in the basin, and was forced by Zhou Cheng to wash her hands twice.

Both of them were in the restroom. Zhou Cheng saw her wiping her hands, his eyes flickered slightly, he took two steps back to the door, and kicked the door open.

Snap~

The door closed.

Qiao Nansheng turned around when she heard the sound and saw Zhou Cheng standing behind her, staring at her with a deep expression. He had closed the door.

Her heart raced inexplicably under his gaze. "What are you doing?"

She took two steps back, looking wary.

Zhou Cheng stared at her without saying a word, and Qiao Nansheng's palms became sweaty before she heard him ask, "Why?"

"Huh?" She was stunned, her face full of confusion. "Why what?"

"Why do you want a divorce? What did I do wrong?" Zhou Cheng asked, taking a step toward Qiao Nansheng.

After hanging up the phone that day, he thought about it carefully and felt that it was more likely that she hadn't just said it casually.

Before this, when she called to inquire after shopping, she had said something similar, but he hadn't taken it to heart at the time.

It wasn't until she spoke about it again that Zhou Cheng noticed the hidden seriousness in her voice.

"When we got married, we agreed to try living together, and you readily agreed."

"You're lying to me?"

He pressed closer and closer—
