She quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, opened the car door to get out, when a hand suddenly reached out and grabbed her.
Looking back, she asked with a puzzled expression, "What's wrong?"
The man's dark, deep eyes were fixed on her, and he said in a languid tone, "Is there something you've forgotten?"
?
Qiao Nansheng looked puzzled.
What did I forget?
As she asked, she pushed his hand away, muttering, "Let's talk about it when I get home after get off work tonight. I'm already fifteen minutes late. I only asked the dean for a short leave. I'll get scolded if I'm late."
Zhou Cheng remained unmoved, no matter how she pushed him, his fingers still gripped her arm tightly, without loosening their grip even slightly.
"Zhou Cheng!" she called out to him angrily, "Let go right now!"
The man didn't speak, but suddenly moved closer to her, startling Qiao Nansheng so much that she turned her head back.
Then, with a "thud," it hit the glass window.
Qiao Nansheng: I'll f*** your mother!
Zhou Cheng was taken aback and quickly pulled her over to look at the back of her head. "Where did you bump your head? Let me see, here? Or here?"
He tapped her head with his finger.
The woman hissed dramatically and struggled violently. "I told you to let go! If you had let go sooner, would I have bumped into something? It hurts all over! Are you satisfied now? Huh?"
She was furious, wondering what had gotten into him so early in the morning.
She glared at him fiercely, then pushed the man away with all her might, turned around, and got out of the car.
He slammed the door shut with all his might.
A loud bang was heard!
She attracted the attention of passersby, and her face flushed; she felt quite uncomfortable.
Forcing herself to remain calm, Qiao Nansheng walked to the entrance of Beibei Kindergarten, called the security guard to open the gate for her, and swiped her card to enter the school.
She walked very fast and disappeared from Zhou Cheng's sight in no time.
He remained in the position she had pushed him away in until Qiao Nansheng's figure disappeared before he came to his senses.
Zhou Cheng recalled what she had just said and the expression on her face when she spoke to him, his brows furrowing tightly.
He was just concerned about her, was that wrong?
Why did Nan Sheng hate his presence so much after waking up?
I never felt this way when we first got married. At most, I just didn't want to have much contact with him, but it was never like this now, where it's almost as if I have "I hate you" written all over my face.
I can't figure it out, and the more I think about it, the angrier I get.
Zhou Cheng took a breath and was about to drive away when his phone suddenly rang. It was Xiang Fei.
"Brother Cheng, the person in charge of the yogurt endorsement I got last time called and said we're shooting today. Where are you now? I'll come pick you up."
"No need, just send me the address. I'm out right now."
"OK."
After hanging up the phone, Zhou Cheng turned his head and glanced in the direction of Beibei Kindergarten again. Thinking of Qiao Nansheng, his expression deepened.
I looked away and drove off.
**
Upon entering the school, I went straight to the dean's office.
After greeting the dean and returning to her office to speak with the teacher who was covering for her, Qiao Nansheng had only been resting for a few minutes when the class bell rang.
She stood up again, went straight to the classroom, and began her work for the day.
At noon, after serving the children their lunch and putting them on a nap, Qiao Nansheng went to the cafeteria for lunch with Zhong Xuelian.
She bumped the back of her head when she got off the bus this morning, and I don't know if she's too delicate, but it's swollen now, and it aches from time to time even when she doesn't touch it.
I feel terrible.
It's all Zhou Cheng's fault!
What a scoundrel!
I never get anything done when I'm with him!
That guy is a jinx!
