Not only did he stare at her, but he also gave her a malicious look.
He's definitely up to some wicked idea again!
Qiao Nansheng thought to herself, and quietly moved to the side, away from him.
Zhou Cheng didn't notice her action. At this moment, he was looking down, pretending to be thinking, as if he was considering whether or not he should tell her something.
Qiao Nansheng waited patiently for a while before hearing him speak: "I have to go out on Wednesday and will be back in a week."
"Oh." Qiao Nansheng nodded. "And then?"
Then?
Zhou Cheng pondered for a moment, then said, "Remember to think of me."
"..." Heh, you're dreaming.
Qiao Nansheng scoffed inwardly, but smiled and nodded, "I promise I'll think of you every day, every moment."
Even though he knew she might be lying, Zhou Cheng was still somewhat happy. He smiled gently at Qiao Nansheng.
She was momentarily distracted, and before she knew it, Zhou Cheng had put his hand on her shoulder.
"What are you doing?" Qiao Nansheng turned to look at him, her eyes full of wariness, after regaining her senses.
Zhou Cheng smiled helplessly, "There are bugs."
He reached out and pinched a small insect that had somehow brushed against her shoulder. It looked somewhat like a butterfly, but it wasn't; it just had a pair of butterfly wings.
It was grayish-brown, still wriggling, and looked rather disgusting.
Qiao Nansheng got goosebumps again. She rubbed her arms and quickly moved away from him, sitting further away. "Go wash your hands, you're filthy."
Her tone was full of disdain.
Zhou Cheng took a piece of paper, wrapped the small insect in it, and threw it into the trash can. He didn't rush to wash his hands. He turned to look at Qiao Nansheng with a smile on his face and a wicked glint in his eyes.
A sense of foreboding suddenly rose in Qiao Nansheng's heart.
She stood up to run, but Zhou Cheng reacted quickly and touched her face with the hand that had caught the bug.
She froze, staring at Zhou Cheng with an incredulous expression. Holy crap, he actually touched her face with the hand that had been pinching the bug.
After a few seconds of stunned silence, Qiao Nansheng snapped out of it and flew into a rage.
"Aaaaaah, Zhou Cheng, you bastard! I'll kill you!"
She yelled and lunged at the man. Behind her was a sofa. Zhou Cheng neither dodged nor pushed her, letting her rush towards him.
The impact caused him to fall naturally onto the sofa.
Qiao Nansheng straddled him, her hands mercilessly groping his face. He was still somewhat afraid of her, only daring to pinch his cheeks and tug at his hair.
But even that was enough for her.
A few minutes later, seeing Zhou Cheng's handsome face, which she had pinched until it was bright red, and his hair, which was a mess like a bird's nest, Qiao Nansheng was finally satisfied.
She stopped and was about to get off Zhou Cheng when she suddenly heard several coughs behind her.
Qiao Nansheng froze, then turned around abruptly. She saw Old Master Zhou, Zhou's parents, and her own parents standing in front of the living room door…
Both sets of parents were there, but it's unclear when they arrived or how long they stayed.
Qiao Nansheng was stunned and remained motionless on Zhou Cheng's body for a long time.
Zhou Cheng, who was pinned down by her, was also stunned. The old man and the others usually called or texted in advance before coming, and would not come suddenly. This was the first time today.
The living room was eerily quiet, with an odd atmosphere.
Finally, it was Old Master Zhou's cough at the door that pulled the two lost in thought back: "Xiao Cheng, if you have anything to do in the future, do it inside the house. Don't do it in the living room. It wouldn't be good if the guests saw you."
