"Sister Yan, what's wrong with you? Are you feeling unwell?"
In Kyoto, in Lin Yao's apartment, Lin Yao, Fangfang and Mo Yan were eating takeout.
Today, Lin Yao practiced singing in the morning, recorded a program at Kyoto TV in the afternoon, and took a set of advertising photos in the evening.
After politely declining the manufacturer's invitation to dinner, the three women returned to Lin Yao's apartment, ordered takeout, and planned to go to bed early after eating.
Lin Yao's schedule was very tight these days, so Mo Yan simply didn't go home and stayed in Lin Yao's apartment so that he could start work in the morning.
The time for eating takeout in the evening is a rare leisure time in the day. The three of them eat and chat at the same time.
Mo Yan's cell phone was broken. She took the time to buy a new one when Lin Yao was practicing singing in the evening. Now she has time to tinker with the new phone.
However, Lin Yao and Fang Fang soon discovered that while Mo Yan was operating on his mobile phone, his expression became increasingly ugly. Lin Yao thought that Mo Yan was not feeling well and asked hurriedly with concern.
"Nothing, the family matters have been dealt with."
Mo Yan looked up and smiled at the two of them, and picked up two pieces of beef for each of them.
"You two should eat more. You have lost weight in the past two days."
"Oh." Lin Yao and Fang Fang nodded in agreement. While Mo Yan was looking down at his phone again, Fang Fang whispered to Lin Yao:
"Sister Yao, Sister Yan must be in trouble. She just said yesterday that I gained weight again."
Lin Yao also whispered, "Could Sister Yan be in love?"
"Impossible. Sister Yan is so busy, how can she have time for a relationship?"
Fangfang denied this guess, then thought of something and immediately said:
"Could it be that Sister Fang's suggestion of introducing someone to Sister Yan has made Sister Yan a little... aroused?"
Lin Yao glanced at Mo Yan and patted Fang Fang gently: "Don't talk nonsense, be careful that Sister Yan hears you and punishes you."
At this moment, Mo Yan's phone rang. She glanced at the caller and quickly answered:
"mom."
The voice also became gentle.
"I'm fine. Well, I'm quite busy... You and Dad are coming to Kyoto?! When?"
Mo Yan's voice suddenly became louder, and he seemed a little surprised.
"Next Tuesday? Okay, I'll pick you up then. I can't stay there, so I'll book you into a nice hotel. It's okay, you've finally made it here, so just have fun."
Mo Yan smiled and spoke a few more words to his mother, asking about his parents' health before hanging up the phone.
"Sister Yan, are your uncle and aunt coming to Kyoto to play next week?"
Lin Yao asked.
"Sister Yan, are the uncle and aunt here to supervise your blind date?"
Fangfang asked with a smile
Lin Yao and Fang Fang had met Mo Yan's parents. They were two very kind old people, both intellectuals, but they were very supportive of Mo Yan's work and had open-minded ideas.
Just like the parents of other older young women, the two of them have been urging Mo Yan to find a partner. Whenever Mo Yan returns to her hometown, she is forced to go on blind dates every day.
However, Mo Yan was very filial and never showed any annoyance. Whenever her parents arranged a blind date, she would dress carefully and respond politely. After the blind date, she would say regretfully, "I don't have any feelings for him."
The old man had no choice but to find Lin Yao and ask her to keep an eye on Mo Yan in Kyoto.
So when Fang Shengnan said she wanted to introduce a blind date to Mo Yan, Lin Yao was still very happy. Not only were her parents worried about Sister Yan's lifelong event, but Lin Yao and Fangfang were also worried about her.
When Mo Yan's parents heard the news, they were also very happy, but Lin Yao never expected that the two old people would suddenly come to Kyoto.
Lin Yao felt that Fangfang was right. Uncle Mo and Aunt Mo might have come specifically to supervise Mo Yan's blind date.
Hearing Fangfang's words, Mo Yan suddenly looked up at her. Fangfang shrank her neck and apologized quickly:
"I'm sorry, Sister Yan, I was wrong."
"I'm full, you two should go to bed early."
Mo Yan stood up and walked into a bedroom.
"Sister Yan seems to be in a bad mood these past two days."
After Mo Yan entered the house and closed the door, Fangfang whispered to Lin Yao.
"How do you know I'm in a bad mood?"
Lin Yao asked.
"I'm just guessing. Anyway, Sister Yan has been gritting her teeth with her phone these past few days."
Fangfang told what she observed.
"Maybe it would be better if I were in a relationship? Sometimes women become like this after being single for a long time."
Lin Yao thought about it and shared her own experiences and feelings.
Fangfang suddenly stared at her.
"What's wrong?"
Lin Yao looked at Fangfang strangely.
"Nothing, I'm full too."
Fangfang put down her bowl and chopsticks in grief and anger, walked to the refrigerator, took out a box of lemon juice, and drank it fiercely.
Lin Yao didn't understand why Fangfang was suddenly unhappy. She shook her head in confusion, then thought of something. She picked up her phone and sent a message to Fang Shengnan:
"Sister, have you arranged a blind date between Sister Yan and your boss?"
Fang Shengnan quickly replied, again with a voice message:
"Don't worry, Xiaoyao. My boss listens to me very much. I must make him and Sister Yan successful! We are drinking, and my brother is here too."
Fang Shengnan's voice was full of energy, and one could almost imagine her face flushed, as she gave orders at the dinner table.
Lin Yao asked worriedly, "Did you all drink?"
Fang Shengnan: "My brother's colleagues, Wang Linlin, and I are drinking. My brother won't drink even if you beat him to death. Hiccup!"
Lin Yao felt relieved and said softly, "Sister, you guys can have fun. I won't disturb you anymore. Just drink less."
