Chapter 34 Consultation, Cats and Diaries
The consultation room is softly lit and has a light woody aroma.
Pei Heng sat down in the overly comfortable sofa chair and threw his silent phone onto the small round table.
Su Muzhe pushed the gold-rimmed glasses on his nose and started chatting about some gossip at school.
It’s nothing more than whether the schoolwork is tight and whether the food at the new cafeteria window is delicious.
Pei Heng responded incoherently, feeling bored, and scratched the velvet surface of the sofa armrest with his fingertips.
"How's your sleep lately? Are those dreams still bothering you? How's your mood?"
Su Muzhe got straight to the point, speaking in a slower tone.
But Pei Heng already believed what Shen Shi said, so he would not tell Su Muzhe.
He answered straightforwardly, even briskly, "No, much better."
He seemed to feel that it was not enough, and did not hide it, saying frankly: "I am in a good mood, Shen Shi makes me feel very comfortable, I like being with him."
Su Mu caught the name and remembered that Pei Heng had mentioned it before.
"That...Crown Princess?" he asked tentatively, with a hint of teasing in his tone.
Seeing Pei Heng nod, Su Muzhe thought that it was really nice to be able to play house with this young master.
He continued the conversation, "Then let's talk about Shen Shi. What do you do when you're with him?"
Pei Heng frowned slightly, as if he was a little distressed, but he spoke very generously, "He always likes to kiss me."
"It's cute though."
Su Muzhe: “???”
After all this time, the young master's symptoms were alleviated, not because the treatment was effective, but because he was feeling amorous and was nourished by love.
Su Muzhe cleared his throat and decided to change direction. "Hmm... Is it convenient for me to take a look at your recent diary, the one that's synced in the cloud?"
He knew that Pei Heng kept a habit of taking notes. Even though most of the content was strictly guarded, there was a special version specifically for his consultations.
Pei Heng glanced at him, took the tablet computer handed to him by Su Muzhe, and continued to complain.
"Don't worry, I didn't scold you this time."
Su Muzhe laughed, "I'm so far away from you, if you still scold me, then there must be something fishy going on."
He took the tablet and opened the encrypted folder.
Several records popped up on the screen.
Su Muzhe was shocked by the "Chen Shi" that filled the entire screen.
September 16th, sunny.
I didn’t answer Su Muzhe’s call today because I really didn’t want to care.
Shen Shi is a strange person, he dreams even more than I do.
I don't hate it, it helps me sleep well, thank God, after all, I don't like taking medicine.
…
September 25th, cloudy.
Shen Shi is very unreserved and always wants to kiss.
This is weird, isn't he chasing me?
I guess this might be Shen Shi's plan. I need to calm down and not be seduced all the time.
Besides, there are more and more weird people, which makes me look normal, which is good.
…
October 9th, light rain.
I made another friend named Ling Yue, but let’s talk about Ling Yue later. I want to condemn Shen Shi.
He kissed my collarbone so hard that it hurt, and then ran back to the capital.
What annoyed me even more was that I realized that Shen Shi wasn't sad at all. He kissed me for no reason!
…
October 15th.
Shen Shi is sick, very clingy and enthusiastic.
Oh my god, so this is what it means to be in pain and happy at the same time.
Do I like Shen Shi or not?
…
October 21st, cloudy.
I decided to get the set of calligraphy and the jade ring that gave me a strange feeling at the first glance.
Shen Shi also wanted me to get it.
…
Su Muzhe scanned the pages quickly, and the more he read, the more he felt like his brain was about to be filled with sugar.
This is not a consultation diary at all, it is clearly a heart-warming record of a young man's first love.
The high concentration of sugar made his teeth ache, so he quickly picked up the iced American coffee at hand and took a big gulp, trying to neutralize the bitterness.
He put down his coffee cup and asked casually, "The person next to you today doesn't seem to be in Shen Shi's presence. Why isn't he with you?"
Pei Heng's face drooped, his emotions written all over his face.
"He's been so weird these past few days."
He began to list his crimes, "Not only does he not kiss me, he doesn't want to hug me, and he always has a stern face that distracts me from practicing calligraphy. It's very annoying."
"Doesn't he like me anymore?"
Pei Heng simply didn't understand. Human hearts are truly unpredictable.
Su Muzhe looked at the young master in front of him who was troubled by love, and felt both amused and helpless.
He thought for a moment and decided to temporarily put aside his identity as a psychologist and act as an emotional consultant.
"Perhaps... there's some special opportunity that makes him feel that this calligraphy competition is particularly important? So important that he feels you must give it your all and not be distracted?"
Pei Heng was stunned.
Su Muzhe struck while the iron was hot and deliberately raised a hypothesis, "Think about it, what if he treated others like this? He was attentive to everything and had strict requirements..."
Before he could finish his words, Pei Heng interrupted him, "I don't like this assumption. Take it back."
Su Muzhe raised his hands in surrender, and the smile in his eyes deepened.
"Okay, take it back. It seems... you already have the answer in your mind?"
Pei Heng had a subtle feeling. He didn't tell Su Muzhe what it was, but just asked, "Do you think he likes me very much? Analyze it."
Su Muzhe: “…”
Su Muzhe: "If your diary is less subjective, then yes."
Pei Heng felt clear in his heart and was really happy, but he also felt that Shen Shi was a bit stupid.
He must have thought that the promise after getting the calligraphy back was a confession of love to him, so he took it so seriously and stared at him practicing calligraphy nervously, not even caring about kissing or hugging him.
Pei Heng hummed in his heart, his eyes and eyebrows filled with joy.
How could that be? Even if he didn't have that set of calligraphy, if he wanted to confess his feelings, would he still hold it in?
But Pei Heng is very happy now and decides to tolerate Shen Shi's misunderstanding.
"He didn't see me today," Pei Heng stood up and turned on his phone, "He must be sad."
Su Muzhe looked at the young master who was quick to act and smiled helplessly.
"Well, it seems that today's consultation will end here. See you next time?"
Pei Heng had already reached the door. Hearing this, he turned back and said, "See you next time, Su Dazui. Hurry back to the imperial capital."
Before he could finish his words, he had already opened the door and rushed out without looking back, leaving behind the despised Su Muzhe and a half-finished cup of bitter coffee.
Su Muzhe looked at the empty doorway, shook his head and laughed.
Well, tools are thrown away after use. Master Pei has been doing this for ten years.
But... he lowered his head and glanced at the extremely sweet diary entries on the tablet, then took a sip of coffee in a good mood.
It seems that writing the reply report to Mr. Pei can be easier.
After all, the young master is in love, which is a great joy for the Pei family.
