Chapter 7: Favoring Me
It only took two days to move into the dormitory and fill out the application form.
The door was closed, finally blocking out Zhou Jingming's aria of praise for the new dormitory.
The room became quiet, with only the faint chirping of cicadas outside the window and the low sound of the air conditioner blowing.
Pei Heng threw himself onto the soft bed and took out his cell phone.
The light from the screen reflected his expressionless face.
His fingertips hovered above Dr. Su's chat box, and after hesitating for a moment, he turned off the screen.
Forget it, let’s talk about it another day.
Xiao Pei has always been good at letting himself go.
The phone was thrown next to the pillow with a muffled sound.
The door was pushed open again, and the fragrance wafted in.
Chen Shi seemed to have a unique fragrance on his body, which was faint but lingering.
Pei Heng lowered his eyes, picked up his phone and stared at the screen.
After a few seconds, he couldn't help it after all, and his eyelashes fluttered as he took a quick glance.
Chen Shi had just finished taking a shower and was wearing a simple white bathrobe. His hair was half wet, with a few strands sticking obediently to his forehead.
He was leaning against the door frame, his bathrobe belt loosely tied, his collar slightly open, revealing his collarbone, which was tinged with a pale pink from the steam.
The warm yellow light fell on Shen Shi, and he looked over with a smile in his eyes.
Pei Heng straightened the corners of his mouth, quickly shifted his gaze back to the phone screen, and subconsciously wanted to turn around with his back to Shen Shi.
Shen Shi walked closer silently, barefoot on the slightly cool floor.
The scent belonging to him also became clear and warm, winding around him, carrying the warm fragrance after a bath, rich but not greasy, making people's hearts itch slightly.
Pei Heng's gaze rose uncontrollably again and met Shen Shi's eyes.
Shen Shi noticed his lingering gaze, and the smile on his lips deepened. He curled up his fingers, and gently rubbed the back of Pei Heng's hand on his side with his moisture-covered fingers.
"Does it look good, Ah Heng?"
Pei Heng seemed to be grateful for the cool touch. His fingertips curled up and a vague sound came out of his nose, "Hmm..."
Master Pei's way of praising is always so unique, stingy and arrogant.
Shen was relieved and let out a low laugh of joy. He couldn't help but move closer, his warm breath almost brushing Pei Heng's ear.
"Aheng," he drew out his voice with a lazy nasal tone, and his fingertips gently touched Pei Heng's slightly heaving heart, through the thin fabric of his pajamas.
He wanted to say something else but was interrupted by Pei Heng.
Pei Heng raised his eyes and asked, "Do you think you are delusional?"
Shen Shi was startled for a moment, then shook his head, "I don't think so."
He paused, his voice even softer, with a noticeable hesitation, "Then...what about Ah Heng?"
His fingertips gently drew a circle on that warm heart.
Shen Shi leaned forward slightly, his breath brushing against Pei Heng's earlobe, his words clear and lingering, "Don't you have... a little bit of affection for me?"
Pei Heng's mind went blank for a moment.
The phoenix eyes in front of me, full of affection and smile, instantly overlapped with a vague and burning dream in my memory.
The flickering red candles, the overwhelming red quilts and curtains, and the same pair of slightly raised phoenix eyes, with a thrilling red smudge at the corners of the eyes.
In the hazy light and shadow, the lips opened and closed.
"Your Highness... don't you have any affection for me?"
Pei Heng's eyes were momentarily out of focus and dazed.
After a brief moment of trance, Pei Heng remained silent for a while, then firmly and stubbornly retorted, "You're dreaming too deeply."
He reached out and brushed away Shen Shi's fingers.
However, before he could exert any strength, Shen Shi gently hooked it with his backhand.
Chen Shi's fingers were slender, and they wrapped around Pei Heng's fingertips neither lightly nor heavily.
Pei Heng glanced at the bed, grabbed the thin blanket folded beside him, and covered Shen Shi completely.
"Don't seduce me." Pei Heng frowned slightly, sounding a little fierce.
Pei Heng picked up his spare pajamas and turned to leave.
Shen Shi, who was wrapped tightly in a thin blanket, stood there quietly for a few seconds, and a muffled laugh came from under the blanket.
He slowly pulled the blanket off his head and held it in his arms. The blanket seemed to still have the clean scent of Pei Heng on it, so he lowered his head and buried his face in the soft fabric with a familiar scent.
The corners of Shen Shi's lips curled up silently, he let out a long breath, closed his eyes and suppressed his emotions.
What kind of seduction is this?
It is clear...his Highness is the one who is unknowingly charming and alluring.
—
In the bathroom, Pei Heng shook his head, and his wet black hair splashed water droplets onto the mirror.
He opened his eyes and looked at himself in the mirror.
The mirror surface was blurred by water vapor, and only a hazy outline could be seen.
Pei Heng raised his hand and wiped away a large patch of mist on the mirror, and the image was reflected clearly.
Drops of water dripped along the lines of her tightly pursed lips, and her eyes held a lingering sense of confusion.
The worst thing was that the earlobes that were exposed from the wet hair were flushed an unignorable red from the tip to the earlobe.
Pei Heng stared at the pair of ears in the mirror that were red as blood, raised his hand to rub the hot ear tips, but it was useless.
"Is it really that serious?" He complained softly to himself in the mirror.
Only after his hair was half dry and he changed into clean pajamas did Pei Heng take a deep breath and turn the bathroom doorknob.
The small living room was very quiet, with occasional exclamations from Zhou Jingming who was playing games next door.
Pei Heng returned to the room. The door was ajar and only the sleep light was on, emitting a warm yellow glow that spread lazily.
He walked in lightly, his eyes subconsciously sweeping towards Chen Shi's bed, which was empty.
His heart skipped a beat for no apparent reason, and his gaze immediately turned to his bed.
Chen Shi was lying on his bed, curled up on his side with his back to him.
He was covered with the thin blanket that Pei Heng had just covered himself with in a hurry.
Chen Shi's quiet sleeping face was defenseless, even revealing a bit of vulnerability, which was completely different from his usual calm and vague sense of distance.
Pei Heng twisted his fingertips, and his fingertips felt slightly warm.
Shen Shi must be seducing me, Pei Heng thought, very annoying.
The annoyed little Pei walked between the two beds, hesitating about how to sleep.
The person on the bed seemed to be startled, his body moved slightly, his hands gripping the blanket tightened unconsciously, his brows furrowed, as if he felt uneasy in his dream.
Then, Shen Shi grasped the edge of the blanket and gently placed the piece of fabric between the tip of his nose and his lips.
Pei Heng: “…”
Pei Heng hesitated for only half a second, and chose to sleep in Chen Shi's bed without hesitation, pursing his lips and being surprisingly quiet.
Shen Shi is a liar, Pei Heng muttered in his heart.
I forget what I said so quickly.
He closed his eyes, trying to fall asleep, and the next second his cell phone rang with a deafening bang.
Pei Heng was so frightened that he grimaced and went to retrieve his phone, and met the eyes of Shen Shi who was awakened.
Makabaka, akawaka, mikamaka, mmm.
The ringing continued.
Pei Heng snapped it off and looked at Shen Shi with a wooden face, "I don't want to sleep in your bed."
besides.
"Chen Shi, I can't sleep."
Who said to coax her to sleep?
