Chapter 75 Weird Uncle

Chapter 75 Weird Uncle

early morning.

Pei Heng woke up earlier than usual, carefully removed Shen Shi's arm from around his waist, and got out of bed quietly.

Chen Shi was sleeping soundly, as he was a little tired from the tossing and turning last night.

Pei Heng tucked in the quilt for him, bent down and gave him a light kiss on the forehead, then washed, changed his clothes, and went downstairs alone to have breakfast.

The restaurant was very quiet, with only the occasional clink of cutlery.

Pei Zhenghong was already sitting in the main seat, watching the financial news on the tablet and drinking coffee.

What surprised Pei Heng was that there was another man sitting at the dining table.

The man had his back to the door, wearing a dark grey cashmere coat of excellent texture. Even when he was just sitting there eating, his back exuded a calm and steady aura.

Hearing footsteps, he put down the coffee cup in his hand and slowly turned his head.

He has an extremely handsome and mature face with deep features. His eyebrows and eyes are vaguely similar to Pei Zhenghong, but his temperament is completely different.

Pei Zhenghong has the shrewdness and majesty of a businessman, but this man has even deeper eyes.

When he saw Pei Heng, his sharpness subsided and a gentle smile appeared at the corner of his lips.

Pei Heng looked at his father in confusion.

Pei Zhenghong put down the tablet and introduced with a smile: "Xiao Heng is up. Come here, let me introduce you. This is your uncle, Pei Wulin."

"He had been abroad for many years taking care of family affairs. I had to persuade him to come back to help with this matter."

He felt relieved and obviously had great confidence in his younger brother's abilities.

Pei Wulin stood up. He was half a head taller than Pei Heng. He extended his hand to Pei Heng, his smile deepened, and his tone was natural and familiar. "Hengheng, long time no see."

Pei Heng looked at the hand he extended and felt an inexplicable sense of disobedience.

He had never met this uncle before, but Pei Wulin's attitude made him hesitant.

Pei Heng stretched out his hand and shook hands with him politely. It felt dry and warm to the touch, and they separated immediately.

"Uncle."

Pei Wulin didn't mind his alienation. He naturally withdrew his hand and motioned him to sit down and eat.

Pei Heng sat down opposite Pei Zhenghong and took a sip of the warm soy milk that his aunt brought him.

"Prepare another light breakfast and send it upstairs to the master bedroom. Shen Shen can't come down to eat it."

Auntie replied respectfully, "Okay, young master," and turned to go into the main kitchen to prepare.

Pei Zhenghong looked at his son's attentiveness, a smile and relief flashing in his eyes. He wiped his mouth and stood up. "Okay, you two, uncle and nephew, take your time eating and have a good chat. Get to know each other."

"I have a multinational meeting to attend, so I'll go to the study first."

Suddenly, only Pei Heng and Pei Wulin were left in the restaurant.

Pei Heng ate his breakfast by himself and had no intention of taking the initiative to talk.

He was not a very outgoing person, and he had no desire to talk to this uncle who suddenly showed up.

However, Pei Wulin did not feel uncomfortable at all. He ate his breakfast slowly and elegantly.

But Pei Heng always felt that Pei Wulin looked at him a lot.

Pei Heng was a little upset, his appetite was affected, and he finally became a little impatient.

He simply put down the slice of bread in his hand, raised his head, met Pei Wulin's gaze, and stared back.

Pei Wulin seemed to have not expected him to be so direct. He was slightly stunned, and then felt a little amused.

"Hengheng is... even cuter than before."

Pei Heng: “?”

He put down the cutlery, leaned back slightly, and looked at Pei Wulin, "Did you also hold me in your arms when you were a child?"

Pei Wulin chuckled when he heard this, shook his head, picked up the napkin and wiped the corner of his mouth elegantly, "No."

He paused, his eyes moving across Pei Heng's face, then he suddenly leaned forward, lowered his voice, and an ambiguous smile appeared at the corner of his lips.

"How about... adding one now?"

Pei Heng: “…” Weird guy.

This remark crossed the line and was not a joke that elders should make, he knew the difference.

Disgust arose spontaneously, and Pei Heng frowned, "Uncle and nephew should not be close."

After saying that, he took two slices of bread and left the restaurant.

Pei Wulin did not stop him, but followed him with his eyes until Pei Heng disappeared around the corner of the stairs.

Pei Wulin picked up the slightly cold coffee and took another sip.

Pei Heng returned to the bedroom with a frown, still feeling uncomfortable about the inexplicable conversation.

This Pei Wulin gave him a very strange feeling, something was wrong that he couldn't explain.

He pushed open the bedroom door and saw Chen Shi curled up on his side, with most of his face buried in the soft pillow, breathing shallowly. He looked obedient, beautiful and defenseless.

Seeing Shen Shi's sleeping face, Pei Heng's irritability was suppressed. He took off his coat and lay back on the bed. He hugged Shen Shi from behind and rubbed his chin against the top of his soft head.

Shen Shi was awakened by his movement. Feeling Pei Heng's embrace, she subconsciously turned around and buried herself in his arms, "Husband..."

Pei Heng responded and bent down to kiss his lips.

Shen Shi propped himself up a little and nestled in Pei Heng's arms. Seeing that he didn't look well, he raised his hand and touched his cheek, "Husband, what's wrong?"

Pei Heng grabbed his fingers, put them to his lips and kissed them, then opened his mouth a little depressed and bit the soft earlobe lightly.

"I met a weird guy downstairs, he's my uncle."

Shen Shi's sleepiness dissipated a lot, and he frowned slightly.

"Haven't you met your uncle before?"

"No," Pei Heng shook his head and played with Shen Shi's fingers, "Old Pei said he had been abroad before, and I rarely saw these relatives."

Pei Heng continued to complain, "He was acting weird and even said he wanted to hug me."

Shen Shi: “?”

It only takes one inappropriate word to turn suspicion from uncle to potential rival.

Although the other party was an elder, Shen Shi's vigilance was still at its highest level.

"Let's go downstairs and take a look." Shen Shi coaxed him and said as he sat up.

He wanted to see what kind of "uncle" he was.

Pei Heng didn't want to be alone, so he nodded in agreement.

After washing and packing, they went downstairs together.

Wendsheng was standing in front of a display stand in the corridor, carefully wiping an antique vase.

In the old house, he restrained himself a little and wore headphones while listening to novels. When he saw Pei Heng and Shen Shi coming down, he immediately took off his headphones and greeted them respectfully.

Pei Heng asked Wen Desheng, "Have you seen the people in the restaurant?"

Wen Desheng bowed slightly and replied, "Master, this old servant only met Master Pei for the first time this morning. I have never heard of him or seen him before."

Shen Shi and Pei Heng looked at each other and felt relieved.

Since Wen Desheng has never seen him, it means that Pei Wulin at least did not come with the memories of his previous life.

Wen Desheng observed his expression and said, "Master and Young Lord, don't worry. In my opinion, this Second Master Pei... doesn't look like he's in any danger."

Pei Heng didn't react for a moment: "What danger?"

Wen Desheng looked inscrutable and lowered his voice. "It's the danger of separating you and the young master."

In his opinion, all those who approach His Highness with ill intentions are dangerous and need to be vigilant.

Pei Heng: “…”

In a sense, Pei Wulin did make him feel uncomfortable.
