Chapter 15 Don’t brush too much, just show your intention

"What!" He widened his eyes, unable to believe what he saw.

The urn was empty, with only a puddle of water sloshing at the bottom.

"This...this is impossible!" The staff also took a few steps back in fear.

"Where are the ashes? Where did the ashes go?"

With trembling hands, he reached out for the urn, his fingertips just touching the edge of the box.

Suddenly, a gust of cold wind rushed out of the cabinet, bringing with it a biting chill.

The camera shook suddenly, and in the picture, the water stains in the cabinet suddenly began to surge, as if something was about to emerge from the water.

"Ah~" he screamed.

Suddenly, the camera captured a blurry shadow rising slowly from the water, shaped like a person.

But the outline was blurry, the shadow slowly approached him, and the air was thick with humidity.

"Mom...Mom?" His voice was almost squeezed out of his throat, filled with endless fear and expectation.

The shadow stopped in front of him and slowly raised his hand as if to touch his face.

The camera shook violently, and the picture began to blur. All that could be heard was his rapid breathing and the screams of the staff.

"Ahhh! Run!" the staff member shouted and turned around and ran.

He stood there, his feet as if nailed to the ground, watching the hand getting closer and closer.

Just when the hand was about to touch him, the camera suddenly went black and the picture stopped abruptly.

A few seconds later, the screen came back on. He was already slumped on the ground, his face as pale as paper and his forehead covered in cold sweat.

The urn was still empty, with only a small puddle of water, as if everything that had just happened had never happened.

"What the hell is going on?"

He muttered, confusion and fear in his voice.

The security guards and staff came running over panting:

"Are...are you okay?"

He shook his head, slowly turned around, and stared at the empty urn with a dull look.

"I...I don't know!" he whispered.

The camera slowly turned to the urn, and the picture froze on the empty box.

The man slowly turned off the camera, and the picture finally froze on his pale face.

His mind was in a mess, but suddenly, his thoughts stopped, as if he had grasped some key point, the fortune-telling female anchor!

"Yes, that female anchor! Since she could tell that I was dreaming and that there was something wrong with my mother's urn, she must know more!"

He quickly opened his phone and the live broadcast platform, but found that Jiang Muyao had already ended the broadcast. His mood became even heavier.

The empty urn, the seeping water stains, all of this was like a tangled mess, entangled in his heart and making him breathless.

His fingers trembled as he quickly typed a line of words into the private message box:

"Host, please help me! I followed your instructions and came to the columbarium, only to find my mother's urn empty and water-stained!

I don’t know what to do. Do you know where my mother’s ashes are?”

After sending it, he stared at the screen, expecting Jiang Muyao's reply, but there was no response for a long time.

After he strongly requested the staff to investigate the situation, he staggered out of the columbarium.

It was raining, and the cold wind mixed with drizzle blew in his face, making him shiver.

He looked down at his phone, still no reply. Helplessly, he could only go home and wait for Jiang Muyao's response.

When he got home, he slumped on the sofa, opened his phone and watched the video on it. For some unknown reason, he posted the video online!

The light from the phone screen reflected on his pale face.

The video has been uploaded successfully, and the title reads:

"Help! My mother's urn is empty and has water stains! Can anyone explain this?"

He stared at the screen, his fingers unconsciously sliding across the comment section. In just a few minutes, the video had been played over 10,000 times, and the comment section was abuzz with comments:

(Holy crap! Is this video real? The urn is empty and still leaking water? This is too scary!)

(It must be a script. These days people will write anything to make money!)

(Wait for follow-up, please update soon!)

(Why does this plot look so familiar? Is it also a columbarium?)

(This water stain? It can’t be a supernatural phenomenon, right? The OP should find a guru to take a look!)

(It’s definitely a script! But the special effects are so realistic!)

(Isn’t this acting too good? Or is it... really a ghost?)

(Unfilial son, actually making fun of his mother...)

(My scalp is tingling...)

The voices in the comment section were like knives stabbing his heart. He turned off his phone, closed his eyes, and lay down on the sofa.

*

After Jiang Muyao finished the live broadcast, she went downstairs to the living room.

What came into view was the scene of the Pei family sitting together.

Everyone's face had an expression of wanting more.

She looked at Pei Linyuan. His ears were red and swollen, as if they had been burned, and were particularly eye-catching.

[Pei Linyuan is quite cute like this.]

Jiang Muyao's inner voice sounded quietly.

When Pei Linyuan heard this voice, his ears suddenly turned redder and his face seemed to be on fire.

He lowered his head, pretending to look at his phone intently, but his fingers unconsciously clenched, his knuckles turning slightly white.

When the Pei family heard Jiang Muyao's thoughts, they immediately looked at each other with smiles in their eyes.

Pei's mother couldn't wait to get up from the sofa, and Pei Haoyu jumped off the sofa like a monkey.

"Muyao, your live broadcast just now was so exciting!"
