Chapter 17 "You're Hurt Too"

Chapter 17 "You're Hurt Too"

Ai Zhe panted and washed Noson with clean water from the pool.

Northen gritted his teeth and groaned in pain.

He was in great pain, but when he saw the man's worried expression, he froze and suppressed his unpleasant cry.

It was as if that worried look eased the pain in his body.

He just stared at the cold and hard man's panicked look without saying a word.

Ai Zhe was washing the wounds on his legs and hands with water.

Sweat dripped down the man's cheeks, winding along the way as he moved busy.

Ai Zhe was busy, but accidentally turned around and saw the injured man staring at him blankly with his mouth open. With his golden curly hair, he looked like a silly dog.

"Why, were you stung in the brain too?"

Ai Zhe waved his hand in front of him.

Northen came to his senses and immediately started screaming in pain, holding his hands.

"It hurts here too."

Northen stretched out his other hand, and there was clearly no injury on it.

Aizhe grabbed his palm and folded it outward, shocking Northen so much that he kept screaming.

"It hurts! I was wrong!"

Ai Zhe opened his tactical bag and took out the emergency medical supplies and pain-relieving herbs inside.

Fortunately, I brought some pain-relieving grass with me.

Medical resources should be reserved for the injured among the refugees.

Ai Zhe judged that the situation of Northam would not be a big problem if it was dealt with seriously.

Squeeze the blood and pus out of the infected wound on Northen's hand, splash clean water on it, and let the water flow away the toxins.

"Aizhe, you just contradicted my order!"

"Don't take this kind of risk in future rescues!"

"We ask you to sacrifice appropriately in order to preserve the overall situation. Do you think you'll be so lucky every time?"

"A slight deviation will lead to annihilation of the entire army."

General Brandon's criticism came from the communicator, and Ai Zhe's face turned cold and fierce on the spot.

His teeth were gritting and his eyes were filled with uncontrollable anger.

"But didn't we save everyone this time?"

"Everyone is alive, this is the best outcome!"

"If I can't save him, I'll naturally give up. But this time, I'm sure he can be saved! And I can succeed!"

Aizhe spoke in a low voice, but his response was quick, immediately refuting Brandon.

General Brandon is the highest-ranking commander at present, several levels higher than Colonel Steen.

He has enough power to command and directly criticize Ai Zhe.

"Who are you talking to?! Ai Zhe."

"You're just an ordinary frontline soldier. There are many replacements for people like you. We can train countless soldiers every year!"

Brandon's cold and harsh shout, filled with absolute authority, came from the communicator.

Ai Zhe's hand, which was applying pain-relieving grass to someone, paused and his breathing stagnated. It was obvious that something had hurt him.

"Do you think you are unique?"

"Just a soldier, above the organization!"

Without waiting for Aizhe to refute with gritted teeth, Northen snatched the communicator and was about to refute with his most sarcastic mouth.

But Brandon had already hung up the communicator.

Both of them fell into silence. Ai Zhe was still silently crushing the pain-relieving grass and applying it on Northen's arm, with no expression on his face.

Ai Zhe's parents were once warriors, but they seemed to have made some mistakes and were expelled from the legion they were in at the time and became wandering warriors.

An unexpected group of alien attack caused the defense line to collapse.

His parents led the refugees in resistance and battle, but failed and unfortunately died. They were dragged away and eaten, and their bodies were not left.

Ai Zhe was unexpectedly discovered by the Zeta organization in the midst of ruins and chaos, and was rescued and classified as a refugee.

But even in shelter camps, there are rules of hierarchy and priority.

Therefore, given the lack of resources at the time, Ai Zhe was adopted into the camp as an exception, but it was obvious that he was the type who had no one to rely on.

Especially the sentence "There are many replacements for people like you. We can train countless warriors every year." hurt Ai Zhe like a knife.

Noson felt a moment of heartache at that moment and clenched his fists.

"You're hurt too."

As soon as Northen was bandaged by Aizhe, he stretched out his hand.

Unbuttoning the blood-stained cuffs on Ai Zhe's arm where it was scratched by the ground crocodile's claws.

Although the claws were not poisonous, the wounds were still hideous and bleeding would not stop.

Noson didn't wait for his response and silently bandaged Aizhe with the tools beside him.

"I can do it myself."

Seeing that Northen had an injured hand and was about to bandage himself, Ai Zhe wanted to take his hand away and handle it himself.

"Would it be more efficient for you to bandage it yourself, or for me to bandage it for you?"

"Didn't we say that efficiency is the most important thing?"

After saying that, Northen forcibly held down his palm, immediately took out potions and tools, and bandaged his wound.

Ai Zhe didn't say anything. He watched Northen's smooth movements and his eyes relaxed slightly.

There were scars on Northam's face caused by the stone. His originally handsome face was covered with blood marks, and he looked extremely embarrassed.

Dark blond curls were wet and matted against his forehead, and his emerald pupils were staring intently at his arm with a serious expression.

Realizing that he was staring at the other person, Ai Zhe frowned and looked away.

"Okay, look how powerful I am."

Aizhe's injury was not as serious as Northen's, so when he stood up, he put Northen's hand on his shoulder.

Then he helped Northen back to the rescue vehicle.

The mission was successfully completed and all targets were rescued.

After returning to Camp Zeta, Aizhe and Noson went to the medical area for further examination.

Next, they need to go to the command center to report and settle the mission.

After entering, General Brandon, General Lorraine, and Colonel Sting were already gathered there.

As soon as he saw Ai Zhe coming in, General Brandon, who had previously argued with Ai Zhe remotely, walked over and pointed at Ai Zhe's nose and warned:

"You've violated the organization's rules more than once before. Since there were no adverse consequences this time, we won't pursue you."

"But next time if you act on your own and cause uncontrollable consequences, you might want to consider your new place."

Lorraine looked at the situation in confusion, then at Brandon and then at her son, Northam.

Northen stood directly in front of Aizhe and looked at Brandon.

His face was frighteningly cold, and his eyes were filled with anger, which he was still suppressing.

"Show me proof that he violated the organization's rules. Which rule says you can't risk saving someone who's alone during a rescue?"

"Are your commands the rules?"

Northam stared at Brandon, put his hands in his pockets, and confronted him with anger in his eyes.

"I have much more experience, and I have an experienced judgment of the battle situation."

He was teaching Aizhe a lesson when Northam suddenly interrupted him. Brandon's face darkened and his unhappiness was written all over his face.

General Lorraine was a little overwhelmed as he watched his son walk straight over to confront Brandon.

But he just opened his mouth slightly, obviously not knowing what to say, and could only look at the current situation.
