Chapter 44: Youngsters Selected

Chapter 44: Youngsters Selected

Ai Zhe lowered his head silently...

The coincidence of names... really.

"My parents said that the name Bellandi has a beautiful meaning, so they gave me this name."

The boy smiled with an innocent look on his face. Although he was tall, his expression was full of childishness.

Ai Zhe didn't say anything at the time. He lowered his head and ate slowly.

My mind couldn't help but recall what happened in the morning.

His expression was a little dazed, and his eyes were temporarily out of focus.

At this moment, the boy was still smiling at him, and that smile was quiet and pure.

There was a moist and gentle light in the almost transparent golden eyes, as if some emotion would seep out at any time.

Now, trial training and assessment are about to begin.

Ai Zhe suppressed his emotions and quickly came back to his senses.

Blacklight and Zeta's warriors brought a few small magnetic knives for training.

Neatly placed on one side of the venue.

This trial training is mainly to test their basic physical fitness and reaction ability, and to conduct a preliminary screening.

Noson gritted his teeth, looking unhappy as he stood on the sidelines and looked at the white-haired boy.

If Northen is like a lively and sunny golden retriever, then the boy who calls himself Bellandi is like a cold and elegant silver cat walking in the moonlight.

"Nosen, how about you go up and fight them? See their reaction and judgment ability."

A warrior from Hei Guang's side spoke, his tone smiling but full of meaning.

Northen snorted coldly. This was exactly what he wanted. He jumped onto the training platform, flexed his wrists, and looked at the white-haired man across from him.

"I'll teach you a lesson." Northon thought to himself and activated the magnetic knife.

The boy also picked up the small magnetic knife used for training, his movements graceful and smooth.

He smiled and looked at Northen, his eyes calm and almost blank.

The young man slowly stepped onto the training platform, and when he paused with his toes, the yellow sand was shaken up into a circle of fine dust.

The next second, he suddenly approached as if he was ejected.

Before Northen could fully react, the magnetic knife was swept away by the opponent's upward slash.

He jumped to the side and tried to pick up the knife in a hurry, but felt that he could not keep up with the pace at all.

He had never seen such absolute suppressive power.

If Ai Zhe is "man-to-man" suppression, this guy's power is like some kind of weapon, which can make people breathless.

The knife in his hand was like a medium to transmit his power, not a weapon.

The sound of metal colliding was deafening.

Just as Northen stood up, the young man chopped him in the face again with such force that his arm holding the knife went numb.

It was like a huge rock weighing thousands of pounds, instantly gathering on the blade and smashing down.

He instinctively retreated, but was still kicked in the chest by the boy.

Northam was kicked and took three steps back, hitting the wooden stakes beside the training table.

Then, the opponent's knife swept across the ground at an angle so low that it seemed to cut off his calf.

Sparks flew and sand scattered.

Northen jumped quickly to avoid it, but cold sweat instantly covered his back.

At that moment, the smile on the boy's face was particularly clear.

Her hair was tied up high, revealing a strange and almost incongruous smile between her hair.

Then the young man suddenly jumped up and chopped down from above.

Noson raised his knife to block, but his bones ached slightly from the vibration.

The light energy pulses from the mechanical knife caused pain in his palm, and the base of his palm was cracked and bleeding.

The young man didn't give him a chance to breathe. He spun his hand back and slashed the blade diagonally at an extremely fast speed.

It brushed past Northam's waist, tearing the fabric of his clothes.

Then the young man pointed the tip of the knife at Northen's throat, as if to challenge and mock him, so close that he could almost feel the fluctuations of light energy.

The corners of the boy's lips slowly rose as he looked at Northam, as if he was enjoying the pleasure of "almost killing him".

With a "snap", he stepped on the ground and the knife almost passed by the side of Northam's neck.

Noson dodged, but the boy instantly adjusted his angle as if he had a tracking system.

His movements were terrifyingly precise. He predicted Northam's next move and cut across with his knife half a beat in advance.

He was just about to take another step forward and continue to force Northen back.

Just then, he saw Ai Zhe coming back out of the corner of his eye.

Holding a pot of freshly drawn water in his hand.

The boy paused.

He saw Northen raise the knife to fight back, then he frowned, loosened his hand, and the knife fell to the ground with a crisp sound.

He looked down at his palm and saw that Northen had successfully cut a bloody mark on the back of his hand.

He lowered his eyes and took a step back silently.

His face instantly showed an expression of grievance and resentment, and he looked at Northam in disbelief.

Ai Zhe just came back and walked down to the stage.

"I'm just a new guy. I've never held a knife before. I just have more strength."

"You're a warrior who's been training for so long, yet you refuse to budge."

Ai Zhe frowned and looked at Northen with a puzzled look.

"Nosen, he's new."

"Were you too harsh those few times just now?"

Northen's face was full of disbelief. He turned back to look at Aizhe and spoke in a hurry.

"This guy just nearly killed me!"

"Do you believe it?"

At this time, the young man silently stretched out his hand to Ai Zhe, with an obvious bloodstain on it.

He lowered his head and spoke in a sullen tone, as if he had really been wronged.

"I know that without the protection of my parents, I would appear to be particularly easy to bully in the eyes of some children who have been cared for since childhood."

The young man named Belandi's voice was not loud, but it was clearly audible.

As he spoke, he looked down at the clothes he was wearing. These clothes were given to him by Ai Zhe. They were indeed old and the cuffs were a little worn.

He could only wear the old clothes that Ai Zhe gave him. Everyone in the camp had been given new training clothes, except him.

"Wait, are you concerned about him?"

Northen looked at Aizhe in surprise, and there was a hint of sarcasm in his tone, as if he had been pricked by something.

"Sir, I... I can't find the infirmary." The boy lowered his head a little aggrieved.

Ai Zhe looked at the bloodstains on the back of his hand without saying a word.

"I'll take you there now."

Ai Zhe took him to the infirmary to treat his wounds.

The young man immediately followed Aizhe, and a barely perceptible look of pride appeared on his face towards Northen, and then his face became stern again.

The doctor examined the boy.

After checking the injury, Ai Zhe wanted to leave immediately. Northam must be angry now, so he had to go back and have a good talk with that guy.

But the boy directly grabbed the corner of Ai Zhe's clothes.

"Stay with me a little longer, will you, sir?"

Her voice was soft, her eyes fixed on him.

"I'm going to find my teammates."

"Is it Northam?" the young man asked, his voice still low, but his eyes suddenly sank, and his expression was cold.

When Ai Zhe heard that this person seemed to have offended him, his expression turned cold and he didn't say anything.

She raised her hand and slapped his hand away coldly.

When he returned to the training ground, the venue had been dispersed and the students had left one after another, leaving only Northen alone in front of the wooden stake in the training ground.

Northam was practicing his sword skills on a piece of wood, his face full of anger.

Seeing Ai Zhe coming back, he suddenly put away his knife and rushed over quickly.

"Why don't you just tell him I'm your partner?"

He stared at Ai Zhe with a fierce look and spoke in an impatient tone.

"He's been keeping an eye on you since the first day he arrived!" Ai Zhe frowned, seeming a little surprised by what Northen said.

"Object...what object?"

"Me, I'm your partner."

"When did you become my partner?"

Ai Zhe said this without thinking, and even thought about the meaning of this sentence.

Northam was so angry that his fingers trembled, his face froze, and he was almost choked by these words.

He was at a loss for words, his eyes filled with aggrieved and resentful expression.

"Dude, it's the end of the world. Are you playing some straight-man trick?"
