Chapter 8: Suppressing the Poison of Green Tea
After Feisheng discovered that Beifeng Baiyang's internal energy could suppress the poison in the green tea, he didn't want to delay any longer. He remembered that his spies had reported a natural hot spring in a nearby valley. The water was of special quality and might be helpful in healing.
He unreservedly picked up the weak Li Lianhua again, ignoring her weak protests and the complicated looks of the people around him, and used his Qinggong skills to rush towards the valley.
Sure enough, in a hidden valley, there was white mist and a pool of hot springs emitting a faint smell of sulfur, and the water temperature was just right.
Without hesitation, Di Feisheng carried Li Lianhua directly into the hot spring. The warm water instantly soaked their clothes.
"Di Feisheng! You..." Li Lianhua was stimulated by the hot water and became a little more sober. She realized that the two of them were wearing wet clothes and were in an ambiguous posture. A very faint blush appeared on her pale face, which was not caused by the heat. She struggled to avoid it.
"Don't move," Di Feisheng said firmly, holding him in front of him, one hand still pressed against his back, continuously channeling his internal energy. The warm spring water and Beifeng Baiyang's internal energy combined to effectively dispel the chill brought on by the green tea poison.
"Your clothes are soaking wet and are in the way," Di Fei said succinctly. As he spoke, he actually took action. In a few seconds, he ripped off Li Lianhua's soaked shirt and threw it to the shore. He also unbuttoned the front of his black robe, revealing his sharp upper body with a crisscross pattern of scars.
The warm spring water flowed over their chests, their skin pressed against each other, their inner energy flowing endlessly between their tightly pressed skin. The mist blurred their outlines, but made the presence of their breath and body temperature become extremely clear.
Li Lianhua's body stiffened, barely breathing. He could clearly feel the steady heartbeat of the man behind him, the scorching warmth and immense power contained in his hands. This unwavering, intimate contact was beyond his tolerance. He subconsciously tried to curl up, but the sound of the flute held him in place.
"Relax and guide your energy." Di Feisheng's command sounded in his ears, and the hot air brushed across his earlobes, bringing an inexplicable shudder.
Li Lianhua could only close his eyes and force himself to concentrate, channeling his domineering inner strength and the warmth of the spring water to combat the cold poison within him. In the process, there were inevitably more subtle frictions and touches, each of which caused his heart to race, leaving him feeling incredibly embarrassed.
After an unknown amount of time, the chill within Li Lianhua was temporarily and completely suppressed, and her complexion regained some color. Di Feisheng slowly ended his practice and released his hand.
As his internal energy receded, the awkwardness he'd temporarily ignored during his recovery surged back, overwhelming Li Lianhua. He bounced away from Di Feisheng as if struck by lightning, stumbling to the other side of the hot spring, his back to him. He frantically searched for shelter, but found only cold, damp rocks.
The tips of his ears were so red that they seemed to be bleeding.
Di Feisheng looked at him like this, his brows furrowed slightly, bewildered. He stood up calmly, the spring water flowing down his strong chest. He walked over to Li Lianhua and looked at her embarrassed expression without hesitation.
"The poison has been suppressed, but you are still feeling uncomfortable?" he asked, his tone full of pure confusion.
Li Lianhua: "...No. Thank you, Alliance Leader Di." Her voice was as low as a mosquito, her eyes were wandering, and she didn't dare to look at him at all.
Di Feisheng was even more confused: "Then why are you so dignified?" He looked at Li Lianhua's flushed cheeks and evasive eyes. His martial arts fanatic mind was straight-forward, completely unable to understand the complex emotional reactions of humans. He thought for a moment, and suddenly, as if he had suddenly realized something, he said:
"Is it because you were injured while healing and my inner strength was taking a toll on you?"
Li Lianhua: “!!!” He simply wanted to bury himself in the hot spring.
Without waiting for his answer, Di Feisheng posed a more fatal question. He looked down at his body, then looked at Li Lianhua very seriously, his brows furrowed.
"Also, when I was practicing my energy just now, my body seemed to have some abnormal reactions. Is this related to you? Could it be that Beifeng Baiyang and the residual poison in your body had an unknown collision? Are you feeling unwell?"
Li Lianhua: “……………………”
He froze in place, his cheeks flushed, even his neck. His mind went blank. He wished he could lose his memory right then and there, or that Di Feisheng would shut up immediately! How could someone like that exist?! How could someone ask such a question so seriously?!
Li Lianhua's shout of "Shut up! Don't ask any more questions!" was filled with rare shame, anger and panic. An ordinary person would probably have noticed something was wrong and stopped asking questions.
But Di Feisheng was no ordinary man. He was a martial arts fanatic, a "monster" who knew almost nothing about the ways of the world, especially his own emotions and desires. The more fiercely Li Lianhua avoided him, the more he saw her as a martial arts puzzle that needed to be solved, a puzzle related to his own abnormal reactions.
Instead of shutting up, he took a step forward. The hot spring water rippled, and his sturdy body almost pressed against Li Lianhua's naked back, which she subconsciously retreated.
"Natural reaction?" Di Feisheng frowned even more tightly, his tone filled with the seriousness and confusion of a martial arts researcher. "What kind of natural reaction? Why haven't I had it before? Is it because of your internal strength? Or is it because of this hot spring? Or is it..."
His eyes fell uncontrollably on Li Lianhua's shoulders, which had been thrown back in panic, completely exposed. Those shoulders weren't broad, their lines graceful, but they were tinged with a sickly paleness, and now they were slightly heaving with emotion...
Di Feisheng felt his throat tighten. The abnormal feeling that had confused him just now not only did not subside, but became worse. An unfamiliar, almost irrational impulse suddenly ran through his body!
This feeling of being out of control made him extremely uncomfortable, but it was mixed with a strange feeling of...thirst?
He groaned, the muscles beneath his bronze skin instantly tensed, the veins on his forehead bulging slightly. He subconsciously pressed his legs together, trying to relieve the annoying pain, but found it futile. This feeling was more disturbing than being possessed!
"Especially... seeing you here..." He stared straight at Li Lianhua's chest, his voice becoming increasingly hoarse and low due to some kind of suppression, even with a hint of grievance and accusation that he himself could not understand, "It's even more... uncomfortable."
Li Lianhua: "!!!!"
He felt like he was on fire! He wished he could sink to the bottom of the hot spring and never come out again! Oh my God! What the hell was he talking about?! What kind of torture was this?!
"Di Feisheng! You...you are so outrageous!" Li Lianhua was so angry that her voice was shaking. She tried to cover her chest with her arms in a panic, but it made her look even more obvious.
"Why is this happening?" Di Feisheng completely ignored his rebuke. At this moment, his entire mind was occupied by this unprecedented "disease", and the only "antidote" seemed to be in the person in front of him who caused him to react.
He was driven by a powerful, almost instinctive impulse.
He suddenly stretched out his hand and grabbed Li Lianhua's wrist as she tried to block it. His force was so great that there was no room for her to break free.
"You..." Li Lianhua was horrified.
The next moment, something even more terrifying happened!
Di Feisheng, relying on his terrifying, beast-like instinct and following his instinct to relieve his discomfort, actually grabbed Li Lianhua's wrist and pulled the struggling man towards him! Then—he pressed his body tightly and seamlessly against Li Lianhua's naked chest and waist!
"Hmm..." At the moment their skin touched, Di Feisheng let out a sigh that was almost like a sigh, filled with pain and strange satisfaction.
Li Lianhua was struck by lightning, her whole body froze, her mind went blank, and she even forgot to struggle.
"I feel like... a little better..." Di Feisheng lowered his head, his forehead almost touching Li Lianhua's. His breathing was hot and heavy, and he muttered to himself in confusion, as if verifying a martial arts hypothesis, "Why is being close to you... like this?"
Li Lianhua finally recovered from his extreme shock and shame. His face was blood red, practically dripping with blood. He used all his strength to shove Di Feisheng away, his voice shrill and almost breaking: "Di Feisheng! You... you... shameless bastard! Get out of here!"
He was so angry that he was shaking all over and his eyes were red. He didn't know whether he was angry or ashamed. He turned around suddenly, climbed up the shore using his hands and feet, and crawled to grab the wet clothes and wrapped them around himself. Without looking back, he fled from the hot spring in a panic, as if there was a ferocious beast chasing him.
Di Feisheng was pushed and staggered. He stood in the middle of the hot spring water, looking at Li Lianhua's fleeing back. His cold face was filled with great confusion and lingering physical restlessness.
He looked down below him, then up at the deserted shore.
Why?
Being close to him makes you feel uncomfortable, yet strangely relieved?
And why did he react so violently?
What kind of martial arts is this? Or is it some new type of poison?
The leader of the Wu Chi Di Alliance was caught in the most difficult and incomprehensible "martial arts" dilemma in his life. And this time, no secret book or opponent could give him the answer.
