"Let's eat, stop talking," Jiraiya said, picking up the grilled meat and starting to eat.
Tianqi and the other two immediately started showing off, leaving only Sarutobi dumbfounded. In less than two minutes, all the meat on the table was gone.
"Boss, give me another twenty servings of meat," Jiraiya ordered directly.
"What are you thinking? Twenty servings aren't enough. Boss, give me fifty servings!" Tianqi was even more ruthless and directly asked for fifty servings.
Tsunade and Orochimaru stared at Tianqi in shock. It was normal for Jiraiya to want twenty servings, but could you possibly eat fifty?
Clearly, they underestimated Tianqi's ability to cook; seventy portions of meat were served and quickly devoured.
"Boss, keep going, keep going!" Tianqi urged the barbecue restaurant owner while still having meat in his mouth.
The others stared at him in shock. Jiraiya had almost finished eating, while Sarutobi covered his face and said, "I forgot about this guy's appetite. My wallet is probably going to be empty again this time."
"Orochimaru, Tsunade, how did you feel spending the day with Tianqi?" Sarutobi asked his two beloved disciples.
"Hmm? Well, it's alright, just a bit tiring." Tsunade recounted the day's events to Sarutobi, while Orochimaru chimed in from the side.
"Haha, don't blame Tianqi, because he went through the same process before. I'm quite reassured that he can teach you like this," Sarutobi said with a smile after hearing Tsunade's words.
"Your brother Tianqi never went to school. I was the only one who taught him later. Tianqi is the most talented person I've ever met. Even the Second Hokage, I feel, is not as good as him." He sighed sincerely when he thought of Tianqi. Fortunately, his choice back then was right. If Tianqi had been forced to rebel, Konoha would probably have faced a super strong person.
Hearing Sarutobi say that Tenki had never been to school and that even his great-grandfather wasn't as good as him, Tsunade's interest was piqued. "Sarutobi-sensei, please tell us what's going on!"
Orochimaru, also a genius, was very interested in Tianqi.
Jiraiya was always particularly interested in anything related to the Hokage, let alone anything beyond the Hokage. "Old man, tell me, tell me!"
Seeing that his disciples were interested, Sarutobi recalled how the village had treated him when he was a child and said, "There's nothing to say. You just need to know that Tianqi is very strong." He was afraid that if he brought this up, Tianqi would remember the unfair treatment he had received in the village and rebel. That wouldn't do.
Hearing that Sarutobi stopped talking, the others began to mutter to themselves, "He who only speaks halfway through his words will never have a partner in his old age."
Sarutobi was overthinking things. If Tianqi wanted to rebel, he would have done so long ago. Tianqi was currently focused on devouring the food in front of him, ignoring everything else.
An hour later, Tianqi finally finished his meal and was picking his teeth with a toothpick at the door. Yuanfei, on the other hand, was settling the bill with the owner, talking to him as he paid.
"Boss, I didn't bring enough money today. How about I bring it to you later? Is that alright?" Sarutobi said apologetically to the boss. I really didn't expect that today I would not only empty his wallet, but also not have enough to pay the bill.
"It's alright, it's alright if it's a little late. I trust you, Hokage." The barbecue restaurant owner recognized Sarutobi. He had originally planned to give the new Hokage a free meal, but when he saw the bill, he immediately changed his mind. This amount of money was equivalent to a month's net income. If he gave it away for free, it would be like working for nothing for a month.
"Okay, thank you then, boss. I'll have someone bring it over to you later." With that, Sarutobi walked out the door.
"You're too kind, welcome to visit again next time," the owner said with a smile as he saw Sarutobi off.
At the entrance.
"Brother Sarutobi, why are you taking so long to pay the bill? You're not old yet, are you already failing?" Tianqi said to Sarutobi.
“Yeah, old man, you’re too slow,” Jiraiya chimed in.
Sarutobi ignored them, put the empty wallet back into his pocket, and left without looking back.
"What's wrong with Sarutobi-sensei? He's acting strangely today," Tsunade asked, looking at Sarutobi as he left, her face full of confusion.
"He's probably back home feeling bad about the money. Don't worry about him. A Hokage treating him to a meal and he's being stingy. He's so petty." Tian Qi directly criticized Sarutobi for being stingy. If Sarutobi Hiruzen heard this, he would probably cry in the bathroom. "Am I being stingy? You're just showing off too much!"
"Alright, we'll meet at the mission hall entrance at 8:00 AM sharp tomorrow to receive our missions. Now, everyone go home." With that, Tianqi disappeared from the three of them.
The three of them went back to their respective homes.
Tsunade was quite curious about Tianqi, and since Sarutobi had only told her half of what he wanted to say, she decided to ask his grandmother about Tianqi. Tsunade's grandmother was Hashirama Senju's wife, Princess Mito Uzumaki of the Land of Whirlpools, and the current Nine-Tails Jinchuriki.
Soon Tsunade arrived at Mito Uzumaki's residence, pushed open the door, and saw Mito Uzumaki sitting alone in the room.
"Little Tsunade is here, come and sit down." Mito greeted Tsunade warmly when she saw her come in. Both Hashirama and Tobirama doted on this granddaughter.
"Grandma, no need to trouble yourself. I just wanted to ask you about something." Seeing that Mito was about to get her some food, Tsunade quickly stopped her and got to the point. She had just eaten grilled meat and couldn't eat anymore.
"Oh, it's someone's business. I know anyone from Konoha. Tsunade, just ask." Hearing that it was such a simple matter, Mito immediately gave her a guarantee.
"Grandma, do you know anything about Uchiha Tenki's past?"
When Tsunade asked about Tenki's past, Mito was taken aback. "Tsunade, why are you asking about him?"
"It's nothing, I'm just curious. Grandma, do you even know anything about it?" Tsunade looked at her grandmother with curiosity. For some reason, her grandmother's expression would change when Tianqi was mentioned.
"Since you want to know, Tsunade, I'll tell you."
Hearing that her grandmother was about to speak, Tsunade immediately rested her chin on her hands and began to listen.
"Speaking of Tianqi, we have to start with his father, Uchiha Madara. Because Uchiha Madara married late, he didn't have this son until your parents were already old, and then..." (Ten thousand words omitted here).
“That’s how it is,” Mito told Tsunade directly about Tianqi’s birth and the village’s treatment of him.
"So that's how it happened. I never imagined that such a strong brother like Tianqi had such a past. Second Grandfather went too far. Second Grandfather is a bad person." After hearing about Tianqi's story, Tsunade immediately cursed her second grandfather.
"Alright, Tsunade, your great-grandfather was only thinking of the village. He let Tianqi go later, so he wasn't a bad person." She stopped Tsunade when she heard her scolding Tobirama Senju. Although Tobirama Senju was indeed wrong, he changed later. After all, he had only been dead for a short time. As a junior, Tsunade shouldn't scold him at this time.
"Okay, Grandma, I understand. I'll head back now." After saying that, Tsunade walked towards her home, which was right next to the Mito family's house. Her parents, as descendants of Hashirama Senju, had died long ago, leaving behind only a younger brother who was a few years younger than Tsunade.
"Tsunade, take your time, come again next time," Mito said, watching Tsunade leave.
"Understood," Tsunade waved and left.
Back home, Tsunade spent the whole night thinking about Tianqi. Tianqi was an orphan who was ostracized by the villagers. She really didn't know how he had managed to get through it all.
