"You're on a mission so soon? Is it dangerous?" Tianqi asked with some concern. After all, they had gotten closer, and he felt he should show some care.
"It's not dangerous. Orochimaru and I are just going to clear out some bandits. It's a simple mission. You'll probably be out of there by the time we finish."
"Just the two of you? Where's Jiraiya?" Upon hearing that only the two of them were going, Tianqi had a guess in his mind.
"It seems that Sarutobi-sensei taught him summoning jutsu, but he didn't understand it properly and just started trying it out. As a result, he was summoned away, and we still don't know where he is."
"Alright, go ask Sarutobi-sensei yourself when you come out. I'm leaving now, I'm waiting for my mission." With that, Tsunade picked up her lunchbox and left.
Just as he guessed, Jiraiya must have gone to Mount Myōboku to learn Sage Mode. When will I ever have Sage Mode?
Watching Tsunade's departing figure, he thought to himself, "Sigh, being a ninja is really a high-risk profession. Who knows how many more people will die in the upcoming World War II and World War III? Wouldn't it be better to just live a peaceful life?"
After being imprisoned for a month, Tianqi was finally released again, and Sarutobi personally came to pick him up.
At the prison gate,
"Ah, the long-awaited sunshine and fresh air, it's so comfortable outside," Tianqi said, stretching.
"Now you know how good it is outside, huh? Let's see if you dare to do it again next time," Sarutobi rolled his eyes.
"Alright, Sarutobi-nii-san, I just got out. Don't say anything so unpleasant. Let's go have a meal," Tenki said, pulling Sarutobi along.
"Wait, didn't you see there's another person coming to pick you up?"
Tian Qi looked in the direction Hiruzen Sarutobi was pointing. "Zhan? What brings you here?" Zhan was the son of Elder Uchiha, a fairly strong Jonin-level ninja. He was one of the people who came out of the clan with Tian Qi. (Of course, his father came out, so why wouldn't the son?)
"I heard you got out of prison today. My father insisted that I come pick you up. Otherwise, I really wouldn't want to come. I have a lot of things to do, okay?" Zhan said to Tian Qi with a displeased look.
"Since we're already here, why are you complaining? Come on, you and Sarutobi-nii-san have to treat me to a good meal today. I've been so bored in jail." With that, he pulled the two of them toward the restaurant.
Zhan was the person he got along with best in the Uchiha clan, besides the Grand Elder. He didn't care at all if Zhan said something he didn't like; they were brothers, after all.
He's very casual with people he gets along well with. If Danzo or anyone else said that, they'd be slapped in the face.
The three of them soon arrived at a restaurant. As soon as Tianqi sat down, he immediately shouted, "Boss, bring me a serving of all the best dishes in your restaurant. They'll pay the bill."
Sarutobi and Sen were completely speechless.
"Tianqi, do you really need to order a whole serving of food? It's like you've never eaten before. Didn't Tsunade bring you food before?"
Speaking of this, Tianqi also looked displeased. It would have been better if they hadn't talked about it, but just mentioning it made him angry. "Brother Sarutobi, how dare you bring this up?"
"What did I do now?" Sarutobi had no idea what he had done to offend Tenki, and he was completely confused.
"What else? You have the nerve to say that? Tsunade had only been bringing me food for a few days when you sent her out on a mission. I've been eating simple meals ever since. You dare say this has nothing to do with you?" Tianqi stared at Hiruzen Sarutobi with a displeased expression.
Uh… upon hearing this, he finally understood; it really was related to him. “Tianqi, I had no choice. Tsunade and the others have reached Chunin strength, and it’s time for them to start training properly. After all, war might break out any day, and you don’t want them to just be pretty faces, do you?”
"I heard from Tsunade that you got rid of Jiraiya."
Huh? Upon hearing Tian Qi's sudden remark, Zhan looked at Hiruzen Sarutobi with a strange expression. Jiraiya was the Hokage's disciple, right? He's into messing around with his disciple? Hiruzen Sarutobi has some rather unusual tastes.
"Don't misunderstand, it was a summoning jutsu that summoned someone to another place. Tianqi, explain yourself clearly." Seeing Uchiha Zhan giving him a strange look, he quickly explained, not wanting to lose face as the Hokage.
"The food is here, please enjoy your meal," the owner said, placing the dishes down before leaving.
"Yes, yes, how did you teach him? You let him use spirit communication without even forming a contract. Aren't you afraid he won't come back?" Tianqi said as he ate the food.
"Sigh, I didn't expect this guy to be so stubborn. I just finished explaining the hand seals to him and he started trying them out. I don't know where he's gone or if he can ever come back." He was indeed at fault for this, and he felt very guilty.
"What a terrible master! A master like you is the biggest danger when there's no real danger. But this time, Jiraiya has actually benefited from the misfortune."
"Hmm? Defu? What do you mean?" When Sarutobi heard what Tenki said, his guilt slowly began to disappear.
"This time, Jiraiya will travel to a sacred place using the summoning technique. Once he returns from that sacred place, I believe he will become the strongest member of their trio."
"So, it's not a bad thing at all, but a good thing! Hahaha, I knew teaching him summoning magic would be the right thing to do. But how did you know, Tianqi?" Thinking that Jiraiya was alright, his guilt completely disappeared, and then he was a little puzzled.
"Um... well, it's because I once went to that holy land. There was an old man there who had the ability to foresee the future. He knew where Jiraiya would go one day." Tianqi made up a reason, or rather, he couldn't really call it a reason, since he did indeed make prophecies.
Foresight! Sarutobi and his companion were utterly shocked.
"How could anyone in this world possess the ability to foresee the future? I don't believe in such a thing," Zhan stated directly, and Sarutobi echoed, "I don't really believe it either; foreseeing the future is too incredible."
“You may not believe it, but it’s true. When Jiraiya comes back, you can ask him yourself and he’ll tell you the surprise. This old man can be considered half a mentor of the progenitor of ninjas,” Tianqi said slowly while eating.
"The progenitor of ninjas? What's that?" The two were completely bewildered; it was the first time they had ever heard of that term.
"Holy crap, do people not pay attention to history anymore? They don't even know who the ancestor of the ninja world is!" Tian Qi covered his eyes, indicating that he didn't recognize these two illiterate people, but then explained it to them.
The Sage of Six Paths, known as the progenitor of ninjas, was originally a monk during a time of war who discovered the true meaning of chakra and sought to use it to promote peace. Legend has it that all ninjutsu today was created by the Sage of Six Paths, and he was later revered as the "Sage of Six Paths" for his outstanding contributions. In those chaotic times, rumors swirled.
Tianqi didn't tell the whole truth; he skipped over what he should have, and didn't mention Kaguya or Otsutsuki, because he was afraid that saying it would frighten the two of them.
