Chapter 1: Thank you for the invitation; I encountered the protagonist on the way.

Q: What should I do if I'm transported to the dangerous world of Naruto?

A: Thanks for the invitation. I'm currently in Naruto, six and a half years old, and I'm busy running errands for my family.

Haruko Hayama has no memory of the Naruto storyline from her previous life. After being reborn into the Naruto world, she has become a child.

At first, I thought it was just a normal time travel, but after I started to talk and dance earlier than my peers and came into contact with this world, I began to worry that I might have traveled into the Naruto world.

After all, being able to jump three feet high, leaping around on other people's rooftops without getting a complaint, being able to pull out a kunai and hold it to someone's neck at any time, plus her parents' undisguised ninja identities... constantly made Haruko Hayama oscillate between believing and being forced to believe.

Aside from the world's high level of danger, she only vaguely remembered that there seemed to be several main characters.

Naruto Uzumaki is one of the classmates who is often ostracized by the villagers on the road.

Is it because he's the main character? He doesn't seem to be very popular. Whether it's the children who bully him or the adults who ostracize him, they all curse him with disgust, saying he's a child cursed by a fox demon.

For example, right now.

"You monster! Stay away from us!"

"I'm not!" the blond-haired boy roared at them.

"Run! Run! The monster is catching up!"

In the distance, on the open ground, the child who had been insulted by several other children couldn't help but sob after they left. That head of golden hair could only belong to the protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki.

How can someone run an errand and still bump into the main character? What kind of luck is that!

Although it was a one-sided acquaintance, the moment Haruko spotted the protagonist, she instinctively found a building to hide behind and quietly peeked out to examine the simply dressed blond child.

Naruto Uzumaki seems to be an orphan. He often wanders around the streets, either talking to other children or playing pranks to attract the attention of adults.

Besides his short, golden hair, he also has a pair of azure eyes, but what's most striking is the six whiskers on his cheeks.

Haruko, who observes him closely, knows that he does these things to gain everyone's attention.

However... it seems that no matter what he does, everyone's attitude is still the same. Even children who have a slight liking for him will choose to stay away from him after hearing the adults scold them.

So, he, who was already alone, became alone again after searching and searching.

Despite the frustrating situation, Haruko Hayama only felt sorry for him in her heart and never took the initiative to contact him.

According to the tropes she read in the book, the protagonist is always surrounded by dangers, especially in this ninja world full of hidden dangers. The protagonist must go through many hardships before finally achieving his own great success.

As for the supporting characters around the main character, that's another story; Haruko Hayama doesn't want to get involved in dangerous situations.

Adhering to the philosophy of "staying away from the protagonist and becoming a passerby," she merely watched from afar as Naruto Uzumaki repeatedly approached others, was repeatedly pushed away, repeatedly feigned indifference in dejection, and repeatedly raised a smile to continue living his life.

Is this the main character...?

Haruko's bright black eyes reflected a small, thin figure in the distance. It was a child the same age as her, yet it always wandered the streets, without any support.

She always avoids taking the lead role, and this time, unsurprisingly, it should be the same...

As soon as he caught a glimpse of that familiar long black hair out of the corner of his eye, Naruto Uzumaki awkwardly looked away, pretending that he hadn't noticed anything.

Naruto Uzumaki had noticed this black-haired girl for a long time. He liked to stroll around the streets and had seen her several times. It seemed that she was also his classmate.

At first, I didn't pay attention, but later I found that every time she caught me talking to other people, she would stand far away and watch me.

This gaze was unlike any he had ever received before; it contained no disdain, no mockery, and no condescending, pitiful attitude.

Only by empathy can one truly understand.

What really intrigued Naruto was that a child who was different from him and had a happy family could see such empathy for him in her eyes.

At first, Naruto thought she wanted to talk to him, and he was overjoyed.

Until one day, when he made a move toward her, the girl immediately hid, looking as if she didn't want to get involved with him, which deeply hurt Naruto's secretly hopeful heart.

If you don't want to be friends with him, why do you keep spying on him?

Naruto Uzumaki didn't understand, and what rose in his heart was anger at his own wishful thinking. He childishly and embarrassingly decided to ignore her.

Perhaps because she was a special being unlike anyone else, Naruto pretended to ignore her, but every time he couldn't help but glance around to see if she was there.

If he glanced at her and confirmed that she was looking at him as usual, Naruto couldn't help but curl the corners of his mouth into a smile.

But he didn't always gaze at her with such intense longing...

Just like now, when she saw the pathetic sight of her being shunned by other children and unable to hold back her tears.

Naruto Uzumaki covered his tear-streaked face with his sleeve, but his trembling shoulders betrayed his true emotions.

Don't look at me...

This look of being disliked, ostracized, and unwelcome everywhere...

At least don't let you see it...

As if in response to his idea, the black-haired girl turned and walked into the store.

Seeing this scene through his blurry, tear-filled eyes, Naruto felt a surge of loneliness after a sense of relief.

Once he calmed down, Naruto roughly wiped his face with his soaked sleeves, then lowered his head and walked back the way he came.

“Uzumaki-kun.”

The childish voice that suddenly rang out from behind stopped Naruto in his tracks.

He turned his head sharply, and the girl's gentle and bright smile came into his view. Unconsciously, the faint redness at the corners of his eyes began to spread again.

Realizing this, he immediately withdrew his surprised expression and turned his head away in embarrassment.

Seeing that he didn't reply, Haruko took out the bread she had just bought at the store from her basket and handed it to him.

"Can I share a loaf of bread with you? This is one of my favorite flavors."

Naruto Uzumaki was stunned for a moment, looked at the bread in front of him, then at her, "Why...?"

"Delicious food tastes even better when shared with others."

Seeing his blank, bewildered expression, Haruko found it amusing and simply took his hand, placing the bread in it.

After staring blankly at the bread in his hand for a few seconds, when Naruto looked up, he found that the girl had already turned and left silently, creating a long and distant distance between them.

It seemed that their paths crossed only briefly before they each returned to their own worlds.

Naruto unconsciously gripped the bread in his hand, his long-standing hesitation dispelled, and he strode after her.

But she spoke first!

Naruto thought childishly as he ran towards her, a smile gradually spreading across his face.
