Chapter 29: Knowing too much isn't good either.

The next day, Sasuke Uchiha remained as cold as ever, and Haruko Hayama, unable to hold back her words, leaned over and subtly inquired about it.

Seeing that he glanced at Naruto Uzumaki but didn't say anything, Haruko Hayashi suddenly realized that the problem must be with Naruto Uzumaki.

However, Sasuke Uchiha's constant avoidance made things difficult for Haruko Hayama. Every time she tried to take Naruto Uzumaki to find him, he would disappear without a trace. Haruko Hayama suspected that he might have secretly learned a stealth skill behind her back.

"It's okay, Naruto. You just need more practice. You'll definitely succeed if you try a few more times!" Haruko Hayama couldn't bear to see the listless little blond-haired boy.

During today's class when the Transformation Technique was being taught, Naruto Uzumaki confidently stepped forward, only to produce a blob of unidentified matter, which greatly disappointed him. He was especially annoyed and frustrated when he saw Sasuke Uchiha's perfect transformation.

"Yoshi! I'm going to cram in the Transformation Technique!" Fortunately, Naruto was very easy to coax, and he was filled with confidence again, deciding to squeeze out time to train these next few days.

Bye-bye, Haruko!

"Bye-bye Naruto, good luck!"

"Youth is wonderful," Haruko Hayama exclaimed.

This is probably the spirit of the protagonist: always refusing to admit defeat and fighting for pride, ultimately surpassing oneself. It's so passionate and youthful!

Haruko Hayama, inspired by the reverse, decides...

Let's go shopping first and then go home.

"Boss, could I have a skewer of three-colored dumplings?"

"Okay!"

Just as she was about to find a seat, she heard a cool male voice from the shop entrance, "Boss, ten skewers of three-color dumplings."

"Wait a moment." The shopkeeper handed Haruko the three-colored dumplings she had ordered that morning.

But at this moment, Haruko's attention was no longer on Yui. She looked at the person who had stopped and asked in surprise, "Itachi-nii?"

"Haruko? You're out of school." Itachi Uchiha's tense nerves relaxed slightly after he realized it was her.

Noticing the weariness in his voice, Haruko invited him to sit down with her in the morning. "Is Itachi-nii very busy lately?"

"I'm fine, what's wrong?"

"You've looked so tired lately. I thought it was because you had too many tasks..."

Uchiha Itachi was taken aback, not expecting his fatigue to be so obvious. He raised his hand to rub his temples and forced a smile to reassure her, "It's probably because the mission intensity has been a bit high lately, so you look tired. Don't worry."

"Is that so..." Haruko felt that he wasn't telling the truth, but she didn't press him further.

She had seen Itachi Uchiha wearing the uniform of an Anbu member before, and that's how she learned that he had become the captain of the Anbu at such a young age. Haruko Hayama didn't know much about the Anbu, only that they were there to protect the Hokage and do things for him.

After all, he's the Hokage's subordinate, so it's probably normal for him to be busy with missions... Haruko thought uncertainly.

"Here you go, handsome, ten skewers of three-colored dumplings." Just then, the shop owner interrupted their conversation and brought over the packaged dumplings.

After leaving the store, Itachi Uchiha invited her to his home. Haruko had also wanted to have a private talk with Sasuke Uchiha that morning, so she went back with him.

Haruko said softly in the morning, "They say with great power comes great responsibility. It's probably better to be ordinary."

"Is that what Haruko thinks?" Itachi Uchiha smiled slightly. "Being ordinary isn't so bad. My mother used to say that too. She would rather I be an ordinary child than a genius."

“Right, right? The ninja world is so dangerous. You can die in no time. It’s better to just stay alive!” Haruko Hayama looked at him with certainty, as if she had found a kindred spirit.

“But…” Itachi Uchiha recalled something, his voice lowering, “If you don’t reach a certain level, you will perish in ignorance and foolishness.”

The eerie words echoed in his ears, enveloping him in a thick malice. He felt restless, fearful, and hesitant, unable to make a decision as he stood on the edge of an abyss.

Just as Itachi Uchiha was about to be drawn into the vortex, a childish voice pulled him back to reality.

"Isn't knowing too much a bad thing?"

"Huh?" Itachi Uchiha was a little confused.

"Isn't that how it's always written in books? The protagonist gets killed because he knows too much."

Amused by her serious tone, Itachi Uchiha's oppressive aura dissipated, and he returned to his usual gentle demeanor, smiling slightly, "That's true, it seems Haruko knows a lot."

"It's alright." Haruko Hayama scratched her face sheepishly.

It was worth it for her to devour numerous novels and comics after realizing she had transmigrated to this high-risk world, which allowed her to develop a protagonist-centric system that successfully helped her survive six years of peaceful life.

Although she had promised Naruto she would stay with him, that didn't stop her from trying to avoid danger.

Haruko's eyes were resolute; she would never give up on her ordinary life!

...

Having lost count of how many times he had seen Haruko Hayama at his house, Sasuke Uchiha hated his own complacency.

"Sasuke! Long time no see!" Haruko rushed up to greet him with unusual enthusiasm.

"Didn't we just see each other at school... and why did you come back with your brother?" Uchiha Sasuke muttered unhappily.

Recently, his older brother has become very busy. Not to mention teaching him ninjutsu, they have seen each other much less often. Suddenly seeing his older brother and Haruko Hayama together, chatting happily, made Sasuke Uchiha feel resentful.

Itachi Uchiha immediately saw through his younger brother's thoughts, chuckled, patted his head, and went inside without disturbing them.

It was rare to see only the two of them sitting in the backyard, and Uchiha Sasuke secretly glanced at her out of the corner of his eye.

"Sasuke," Haruko asked directly, "Did Naruto make you angry?"

"When has he ever not made me angry?" Upon hearing that guy's name, Uchiha Sasuke stated the fact expressionlessly.

Haruko thought about it carefully and realized that it did seem to be true. She leaned closer and asked, "But it's strange that you don't argue with Sasuke anymore."

Extending his index finger and pressing it against her forehead as she leaned closer, Sasuke Uchiha coldly pushed her away. "You were the same, weren't you? You originally wanted to stay away from him, didn't you?"

Turned the tables on him, Haruko Hayashi weakly defended herself, "I don't have any right now!"

Uchiha Sasuke stared at the birds hopping from branch to branch in the distance, unable to express his true thoughts, and simply said, "My father told me to stay away from him."

"Uncle? Why?" Haruko Hayama's eyes widened in surprise, not expecting the verdict to come from a parent.

“He wouldn’t tell me, but I think it might be related to those rumors.”

"Rumors...the ones saying Naruto is a fox demon?"

“Hmm.” Sasuke Uchiha glanced at her. “I thought you distanced yourself from him for the same reason.”

"How could that be! That sounds like a lie!" Haruko Hayama exclaimed incredulously. "Even if it were true, Naruto hasn't done anything wrong, so why are they ostracizing him like this!"

Ignoring her anger, Uchiha Sasuke lowered his eyelashes. "That's just how it is."
