Chapter 39 Filial Piety to Teachers

Chapter 39 Filial Piety to Teachers

"Kakashi-sensei, are you alright?" Haruko Hayama looked at Kakashi Hatake lying on the bed with a worried gaze.

On their way back to the drunkard's house, they encountered another assassination attempt. Although it was by a single person, he was many times stronger than the two ninjas from before. Kakashi Hatake was forced to lie dead online due to overuse of his Sharingan.

"Not good. I might not even be able to get out of bed for a week." Kakashi Hatake's dead fish eyes looked even more dejected.

Haruko thought to herself that her teacher was so pitiful; whether she was standing or lying down, she always had a dead fish-like look in her eyes, as if she had no will to live.

Kakashi Hatake: ?

"Don't worry, Kakashi-sensei, I'll take good care of you this week!" Haruko Hayama announced cheerfully.

Originally, Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha disliked Kakashi Hatake, who needed Haruko Hayashi to take care of him. However, the cunning Kakashi Hatake used the excuse that Naruto Uzumaki was clumsy and Sasuke Uchiha was obviously not good at taking care of him to kick them out for training.

Haruko scooped up some congee in her hand, let it cool slightly before bringing it to his lips, "Kakashi-sensei, ah—"

After being carefully fed a mouthful of porridge, Kakashi Hatake chewed on the warm porridge in his mouth, glanced at her with an ambiguous look, and then, pretending to be nonchalant, sighed, "Speaking of which, Haruko is really good at taking care of people."

"Maybe it's because he often takes care of Naruto and Sasuke?"

"oh?"

When this was mentioned, Haruko kept feeding him porridge while explaining it to him in a soft voice.

“Naruto used to live alone and didn’t know how to take care of himself. He would often let his milk expire before drinking it. When I first went to his house, I was so shocked that I couldn’t speak.”

As expected of the main character, it's not easy to live this long.

"Later, I often took care of him and would visit his home from time to time. Even now, I still worry about Naruto. He always wants to prove himself, and I'm afraid he'll get hurt."

Impulsiveness is fleeting, but perseverance is for life. This is the difference between a protagonist and an ordinary person. I mourn for the many wounds, big and small, on Naruto's body.

"Sasuke was also in a very bad state for a period of time, almost like he had gone mad. I didn't want to see him like that. If a person is driven forward by hatred for their whole life, then the body is just an empty shell."

Looking at Sasuke's lifeless face at that time, if he hadn't been careful, he might have gotten himself killed.

"But when exactly did it start? It seems like they no longer completely need my care, but can even take care of me. I'm still a little lonely."

Without a golden retriever to pet or a cool, aloof cat to amuse her, who understands her pain? Waaaaah...

"I see." Kakashi Hatake took another sip of the porridge she fed him, glancing casually at the door.

You two brats heard it all.

"Kakashi-sensei too!"

"Huh?" Kakashi Hatake hadn't expected to be caught up in the gossip himself. He turned his gaze back to her, but didn't show any surprise.

"Although I'm definitely not as good as Kakashi-sensei, I'm very good at taking care of people like this. If Kakashi-sensei gets sick or injured in the future, you can call me anytime!"

Haruko quickly added, "Of course, it would be best if Kakashi-sensei could take good care of himself and not get sick or injured!"

"Then thank you in advance, Haruko."

Kakashi Hatake was only politely touched for a second, inwardly cursing the two brats who were eavesdropping behind him, thinking they were probably about to lose their temper.

"Haruko, what are you saying?"

Naruto Uzumaki pretended to have just returned from training and followed Sasuke Uchiha into the room.

Seeing Naruto Uzumaki sit down beside her without any ceremony and cling to her arm affectionately, Haruko stopped scooping porridge in the morning. "You guys are back pretty early today."

Sasuke Uchiha, who sat down on the other side, took the bowl from her hand, slowly swirled the contents of the bowl with a spoon, and looked at Kakashi Hatake with a forced smile, "Sensei, let me offer you something."

"Uh, how should I put it, the teacher is still more used to Haruko, umm..." Kakashi Hatake had a bad feeling and wanted to refuse, but was stopped by the rough feeding of porridge.

After diverting Haruko's attention to Sasuke, Naruto grinned and placed his hands on Kakashi's legs. "That's right, as students, we should take care of our teacher. Let me give Kakashi-sensei a massage!"

"Naruto, thank you for your kindness, but ouch, that hurts—!"

Kakashi Hatake felt that he had personally demonstrated how terrifying a jealous man can be.

Taking care of Kakashi Hatake only took up a small portion of Haruko's time in the morning; the rest of the time she practiced genjutsu alone, and also practiced the secret techniques she had developed when no one was around.

As a pure space-time buff, the Reverse-Moon Eye has no inherent skills, but its power becomes exceptionally significant when combined with what one has learned.

For example, when combined with her most proficient illusion magic, she can use her eye techniques to create an illusionary space that can be changed at will; if combined with medical skills, she can heal wounds and restore them, and even bring the dead back to life if she sacrifices her own life force.

But what Haruko Hayama most wants to achieve is the combination of time and space—going back to the past to change history.

This sounds like a complete fantasy; even her mother, after years of trying, couldn't achieve the combination of space-time manipulation and pupil techniques.

Morning Mother became world-famous by combining her eye technique with her expertise in illusion magic to create an illusionary world that would trap her enemies and leave them unable to react or break free.

Ordinary wound treatment is fine, but in the morning, the mother couldn't bear the loss of life force and resorted to a secret technique that goes against the laws of nature, such as "bringing the dead back to life."

Not to mention the combination of space-time ninjutsu that violates the laws of historical development. This is the biggest reason why Mom concealed the nature of her eye technique. If the outside world found out, even if she explained that her eye technique could not achieve the desired result, she could not stop the greed of those people.

A powerless person, besides possessing a powerful ability to create illusions, also has the potential to bring the dead back to life and defy fate. It's as if he's showing off how plump and juicy he is in front of a pack of skinny wolves.

However, it seems that the Cyclops Eye was waiting for the birth of Haruko Hayama. Haruko Hayama not only fully mastered the application that her mother taught her, but was even able to explore the hidden aspects of the eye technique on her own.

She wanted to shatter the fantasy, to save the Uchiha clan, and to rewrite the history of the Uchiha's annihilation.

As dusk approached, deep blue clouds filled the horizon, with only glimpses of gold shining through the gaps.

The picturesque scenery failed to capture Haruko's attention; she sat by the river, gazing quietly at the sky, her thoughts drifting far away.

Suddenly, a familiar boy's voice rang out from behind, causing Haruko Hayama to turn around and look at him in a daze.

Aren't you going back yet?
