Chapter 55 Kakashi: A Teacher's Morality and Character Both in Question
"Uchiha Sasuke wins."
As soon as the proctor's announcement was made, Haruko and Naruto jumped off the stage and ran to help Sasuke Uchiha up.
"Is Sasuke alright?" Haruko Hayama couldn't hide the anxiety in her eyes as she checked his injuries.
Sasuke Uchiha felt a warmth in his heart and softly replied, "I'm fine."
Naruto, unusually, didn't provoke him, and instead smiled and boasted, "As expected of my teammate, you've got some skills!"
"Stop being so narcissistic." Sasuke Uchiha's face fell as soon as he turned to him. "If you lose, you big idiot, you'll be the one who embarrasses me."
"How could I possibly lose!"
Kakashi Hatake came to their side, took Sasuke Uchiha from him, and prepared to take him to seal the cursed seal.
"No, I want to watch Haruko's match..." Uchiha Sasuke weakly tried to resist.
Kakashi Hatake tightened his grip on him, interrupting him, "If you keep going like this, it will only get worse."
Meeting his stubborn gaze, Haruko smiled and comforted him, "Sasuke, we'll come find you as soon as the match is over."
So the weak cat, who was trying to struggle, was caught by Kakashi Hatake with a smile, and he was taken away from the examination room without any mercy.
When Naruto Uzumaki took the stage, his opponent was Kiba Inuzuka.
Haruko Hayama, staring intently at Akamaru on Inuzuka's fangs, felt a little itchy to touch him.
Akamaru...so cute! I want to pet him!
Despite being tempted by the dog's lustful nature, Haruko Hayama remained steadfast in cheering for Naruto Uzumaki, ultimately ending in Naruto's victory.
After several more rounds, it was Haruko Hayama's turn, and her opponent was a ninja from another country.
Haruko Hayama's abilities and aptitude are no less than Sasuke Uchiha's, and coupled with her usual underhanded tactics, it's difficult for ordinary people to gain an advantage over her.
She finished this round of the competition very quickly.
"Haruko is the best!" Naruto jumped off the stage and hugged her as she cheered.
From then on, all students in Class 7 advanced to the next round.
After the match, Haruko hurriedly led Naruto Uzumaki away from the examination hall to the hospital to check on Sasuke Uchiha.
Therefore, she just missed Gaara, who had been watching her since she entered the arena.
Kankuro whispered to Temari, "Gaara's acting strangely. He's been looking at the opposite stands the whole time."
Even the oblivious Temari noticed it; she looked at Gaara, who was hanging his head and seemingly lost in thought, and felt a strange pang of unease.
Gaara lowered his head when he could no longer see that lively figure, and the fingers that had been touching were now cracked by his pinching.
Haruko... hasn't seen me yet.
Kill everyone who steals Haruko's attention.

"I didn't expect the exam to take so long. I was thinking of coming to celebrate with Kakashi-sensei after the exam." Haruko Hayama quickly prepared the ingredients.
"...Then why did you come now?" Kakashi Hatake sat on the sofa, utterly dejected.
"Because Haruko said that if we don't come quickly, the vegetables that Kakashi-sensei bought will rot!"
Naruto Uzumaki was sitting on the carpet playing video games with Sasuke Uchiha, but judging from his nervous expression, he was probably going to lose soon.
Sasuke Uchiha calmly unleashed his character skill, defeating him to the ground. "Anyway, the final exam is still a long way off, so let's celebrate in advance."
"Sigh..." Kakashi Hatake sighed.
After Kakashi Hatake became the instructor of Team 7, the three of them couldn't stand his habit of making them wait every time he was late.
Finally, after who knows how many times Kakashi Hatake was late, Haruko Hayama arrived at his door with two other people.
The morning mom who kindly provided her address: Yay!
Then Haruko discovered the terrifying aspects of single men.
A room filled with late nights, mess, and disarray...
Even though Kakashi Hatake tried to justify himself by saying that he had only let loose for once last night, Haruko Hayama, who was still indignant, simply didn't believe him.
"Kakashi-sensei!!!"
Then, Kakashi Hatake, with his hair standing on end, was forced to stand in the entryway, looking half-asleep as Haruko Hayama began her housekeeping routine.
Uchiha Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto were also standing nearby.
"Haruko's expression looks terrifying..." Naruto Uzumaki leaned closer and remarked without making a sound.
Sasuke Uchiha concluded, "It's all Kakashi-sensei's fault."
"Huh?" Hearing the two of them blame everything on him, Kakashi Hatake pointed innocently at himself, "Can't you understand the freedom of a single man?"
Almost an hour later, the three of them were finally allowed to sit down on the sofa.
The room had been cleaned spotlessly, the washing machine was running, and Haruko had made breakfast using the meager leftovers in the refrigerator.
"Finally finished!" Haruko came out carrying the last bowl of noodles. "Come and eat!"
After confirming that Haruko had returned to her usual demeanor, the three of them cautiously walked to the dining table and sat down, still in a proper, upright posture.
"Oh dear, how could I possibly let my students cook for me?"
Kakashi Hatake exchanged a few perfunctory words before quickly picking up his chopsticks and starting to eat.
Naruto was astonished by the delicious taste in his mouth, "Mmm! Haruko's noodles are super delicious! I never knew Haruko could cook!"
Haruko laughed, "After all, with a chef mom like me, it's not my turn to cook."
"However, I feel really bad that the students have taken care of me." Kakashi Hatake showed no sign of embarrassment whatsoever.
"...Teacher, could your expression be a little more sincere?" Haruko Hayama complained expressionlessly.
Kakashi Hatake chuckled, trying to salvage the situation, "It's probably because I was wearing a mask that Haruko couldn't see the sincerity on my face."
"..."
I thought Kakashi-sensei's teaching ethics were questionable, but I didn't expect his character to be questionable as well.
The three of them couldn't help but think.
They had previously used a dinner party as an excuse to lure Kakashi Hatake out, just to see his true face.
Kakashi Hatake, who readily agreed, took off his mask, revealing another identical mask with an extra opening.
The three people: ...
Later, Haruko would visit Kakashi Hatake from time to time, just in case he died at home one day and his students were still unaware and waiting for him to come and give them guidance.
Kakashi Hatake, feeling subtly insulted: Hahahaha.
"As expected, a victory celebration should be a bit more lavish, right?"
Haruko was unsure what dish to make in the morning.
"Haruko, you don't need to work so hard. Just do whatever you like. By the way, I really want to have a seafood feast today~" This is the shameless Kakashi Hatake.
"I love eating whatever Haruko makes! But it would be even better if there were ramen!" This is Naruto Uzumaki, who has absolutely no ambition.
"I'll help you." This is Uchiha Sasuke, whose emotional intelligence surpasses everyone else's.
...Having you all is truly my blessing.
After eating and drinking their fill, they continued to linger at Kakashi Hatake's house, playing Dou Dizhu (a card game).
"Yoshi! I'm going to win this round!" Naruto Uzumaki declared.
Kakashi Hatake glanced at his face, which was almost entirely covered in white bars, and kindly reminded him, "Nine out of ten gamblers lose; losing everything is worse than being a pig."
Haruko Hayama, whose face was covered in white lines comparable to Naruto's: ...
Why is she so unlucky?!
Unable to bear watching, Uchiha Sasuke lowered his head and focused on shuffling the cards. Uzumaki Naruto could say he was just unlucky, but he really hadn't expected Hayama Haruko to be so bad at games.
