Chapter 130 The Intersection of Kiba and Haruko's Childhood
"In short, you're all to stand here as punishment until I return!" Umino Iruka declared.
"Tch." This was Kiba Inuzuka's displeasure.
"Oh..." This was a dejected Naruto Uzumaki.
Unmoved by their pitiful appearance, Umino Iruka left the classroom without changing his expression.
Unexpectedly, the moment he left, Kiba Inuzuka walked straight to the window.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Naruto asked curiously.
Kiba, with his back to him, waved at him, "Are you stupid? You're just going to obediently wait for him to finish your punishment?"
Naruto suddenly realized that he was trying to escape!
"Hey, wait for me, I'm running too!"
Hearing him jog up to his side, Kiba Inuzuka smirked triumphantly and politely acquiesced, "Then you can climb through the window first."
"Yosh!" Naruto was about to use his hands to flip over when he suddenly realized something was wrong. "Why are you suddenly being so generous?"
"Huh? I told you not to. If you don't want to, then get down here and let me flip you over." Kiba Inuzuka pretended to push him aside.
Seeing that he still maintained his original attitude, Naruto Uzumaki felt relieved and quickly said, "I'll go first! I'll go first!"
As soon as Naruto Uzumaki flipped over, he heard Iruka Umino's furious voice coming from the second floor in the distance.
"Naruto! Didn't I tell you to stand in the corner as punishment?!"
"Eh! Iruka-sensei?!" Naruto exclaimed in horror.
Kiba Inuzuka gloated as he shouted in Iruka Umino's direction, "Iruka-sensei, I wanted to stop Naruto, but he wouldn't listen!"
Even Naruto Uzumaki realized he had been used as a pawn, and glared angrily at Kiba Inuzuka, but still ran away as Iruka Umino approached.
"Fool." Kiba Inuzuka laughed arrogantly.
Then he walked out of the classroom door openly and honestly, but was knocked backward the moment he pushed the door open.
"hiss--"
"Ouch!" came a childish voice accompanied by the sound of a collision.
Kiba Inuzuka looked up and saw that a girl had accidentally bumped into him and fallen to the ground.
"Hey, are you alright?" Kiba Inuzuka put his hands in his pockets, making no attempt to pull her up.
Haruko rubbed her head in pain; a red mark had appeared on her forehead from the collision.
Kiba Inuzuka noticed the red mark as she moved, feeling both guilty and wanting to laugh. In the end, he coughed lightly and reached out his hand to her.
"Get up."
Seeing the outstretched hand, Haruko Hayama took it without hesitation. After standing still, Haruko Hayama's gaze remained fixed on Akamaru on Kiba Inuzuka's head.
Kiba Inuzuka raised an eyebrow. "If there's nothing else, I'll be going."
"You're Inuzuka-kun, right?" Haruko Hayama quickly called out to him.
"Yes, what's wrong?" Kiba Inuzuka also had some impression of her; she was a girl as powerful as Sasuke Uchiha, who was famous in the class.
Haruko asked a little shyly, "Um... can I pet your puppy?"
Before Kiba could refuse and leave, Akamaru on his head let out a happy howl.
"What? You like her?" Kiba Inuzuka asked, annoyed, as he took Akamaru off his head.
Haruko looked at Akamaru in his hand with sparkling eyes, "Eh, does it like me!"
Since it was Akamaru's idea, Kiba Inuzuka didn't say much. However, wary of Iruka Umino, who might return at any time, Kiba Inuzuka suggested going outside the school to rub against them.
"Could you please wait a moment, Inuzuka-san? I came back to get something."
"Okay, let's meet by the river outside the school."
After saying that, Kiba Inuzuka carried Akamaru away, and Haruko Hayama hurriedly went into the classroom to get her things.
Fearing they might get impatient and leave, Haruko ran to the riverbank in the morning. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Kiba Inuzuka playing with Akamaru in the distance.
Kiba Inuzuka noticed her coming and turned to face her. "Oh, you're so slow."
"I'm sorry, I've run here as fast as I can!"
Haruko hurried down the stairs and walked up to him, her eyes still occasionally glancing at Akamaru, who was wagging his tail at her.
"You're really something, go ahead and touch me," Kiba Inuzuka said magnanimously.
With her master's permission, Haruko squatted down and tentatively brought her hand to Akamaru's face. Akamaru then enthusiastically rubbed her hand against his, making Haruko beam with joy.
Kiba Inuzuka squatted down next to her and scolded Akamaru: "You've really forgotten your master now that you have a new one."
Akamaru let out a howl to indicate that he hadn't, which made Kiba Inuzuka grin.
"Can Inuzuka understand what it says?" Haruko Hayama asked curiously.
"More or less, it's not quite complete yet."
"That's so nice..." She really wanted to talk to the fluffy thing too!
"Do you like animals?" Kiba Inuzuka asked her.
Haruko nodded excitedly, "Yes! I love fluffy things!"
"Akamaru is not some fluffy creature; it will become the most powerful and fiercest ninja dog!" Kiba Inuzuka retorted.
“But… Akamaru is in such an adorable phase right now.” Haruko’s hands kept moving, and the comforting stroking made Akamaru unable to resist showing his belly.
Kiba Inuzuka was annoyed and stood up abruptly. "Hmph, let's go, Akamaru!"
"Huh?" Haruko Hayama asked in surprise.
A conflicted Akamaru grumbled at her and ran to his master Kiba Inuzuka's side.
Haruko Hayama also stood up and guessed, "Is Inuzuka unhappy because of what I said?"
"No, we're going back." Kiba Inuzuka refused to admit that he was being petty.
"Alright, goodbye Inuzuka-kun, and Akamaru too!"
After reluctantly watching them leave, Haruko realized that she seemed to have ruined her relationship with them, and she never approached them again.
So after that, Kiba Inuzuka never had any contact with her again. But from some point onwards, Haruko Hayama and Naruto Uzumaki became very close.
Because of her company, Naruto Uzumaki rarely played pranks with her, and even Iruka Umino was gratified to thank Haruko Hayama for saving a problem child.
Kiba Inuzuka pouted when Naruto Uzumaki rejected his prank once again.
"What? It's different when someone's in charge."
Naruto Uzumaki didn't pick up on the contempt in his words and earnestly explained, "Haruko would be very upset if she knew I was kept after school as a prank!"
"That's why you're a girl. A real man should act like one. You're so timid and hesitant. How can you be a man?" Kiba Inuzuka decided to use reverse psychology.
Naruto Uzumaki was indeed enraged, "How am I not like a man!"

Kiba Inuzuka left after giving him a message, his eyes filled with a determination that he would fall into the trap.
After school, Naruto Uzumaki found an excuse to separate from Haruko Hayama and met up with Kiba Inuzuka at the school gate.
