Chapter 162 Thank you for your support!
Not far away, Matt Kai ran another lap, his face covered in sweat, still gritting his teeth and persevering.
But as he ran closer to them, he froze on the spot, especially when he saw Uchiha Obito, who was wearing a green bodysuit and moving awkwardly. Might Guy looked bewildered.
Haruko pulled the embarrassed Obito Uchiha forward and said, "Obito is so cool, right? Come to think of it, those bad kids really don't deserve to wear such cool clothes!"
Kurenai Yuhi chimed in, "That's right! Only someone as hardworking as Kai deserves to wear such stylish clothes!"
Matt Kai was a little flustered. Usually confident and strong-willed, he seemed cautious and self-doubting, perhaps because of the setback he had suffered today.
"……Really?"
Seeing that it worked, Obito Uchiha hid his shame and revealed a bright smile, "After wearing it, I feel like I have gained Guy's power!"
Sarutobi Asuma took a few steps closer and put his arm around Might Guy's shoulder, laughing heartily, "How could that be fake? We all know you got accepted through your own hard work, you're truly amazing!"
The crimson glow of the setting sun fell upon them, and Might Guy felt as if he were seeing someone as radiant as his father.
My father is always like the sun, passionate and sincere, constantly encouraging himself and telling himself that hard work and never giving up are essential qualities of an excellent ninja.
So he trained day and night, desperately wanting to be admitted to the Ninja Academy, but his talent was too poor. In this ninja world where ninjutsu and genjutsu were the main focus, he was almost deemed unqualified to be a ninja by those around him.
But a beautiful older sister gently told him that if he couldn't master ninjutsu, he could learn taijutsu. He believed that he could become a ninja by finding the path he was good at. So he firmly believed that hard work could make up for his shortcomings and was admitted to the ninja academy through his own efforts.
But his faith gradually wavered amidst the uneventful daily progress of his training. The ridicule from his classmates, the lack of anyone willing to be his friend, and the bullying that left him powerless to fight back all made Might Guy question himself once again.
When Might Guy discovered that Sarutobi Asuma and the others had stood up for him and taught the trio a lesson, he was grateful, but he was more disappointed in himself.
He cannot stand up for himself on his own.
This realization made Might Guy begin to feel disappointed with the bodysuit his father had given him. All that talk about youthful passion, the idea that hard work pays off, and how the bodysuit could help with training... it was all just a lie to a child.
So he ran, shedding tears on the playground where he had sweated, until he met them again.
"Such cool clothes are definitely not suitable for those bad kids to wear!"
"Only someone as hardworking as Kai deserves to wear such stylish clothes!"
"I feel like I've gained Kai's power!"
"We all know you got accepted through your own hard work, you're amazing!"
Matt Kai let the tears stream down his face, wiping his nose in a disheveled manner.
"Kai!" Obito Uchiha suddenly called out his name.
When Matt Kay instinctively looked up at them, all four of them grinned and gave him a thumbs-up, replicating the classic gesture Matt Kay made with his father.
Seeing that they were waiting for his response, Matt Kay wiped away his tears and flashed them a thumbs-up, showing them eight teeth in return.
"Thank you for your support!"

Faced with the shuriken that suddenly flew towards her, Haruko turned around and fell to the ground gracefully, "Ah, I lost."
The teacher, somewhat exasperated, stepped forward and helped her up. "Haruko, you need to take your matches more seriously. Your loss was so fake!"
Haruko dusted herself off. "I wasn't faking it. I just tripped over a stone when I turned around."
The teacher's lips twitched. "There are no stones on the ground at all."
Hearing this, Haruko looked down and glanced around before raising her head and replying seriously, "I kicked the stone away."
"...Never mind, let's say the other student wins this match." Knowing she wasn't feeling well, but not expecting her to be so lazy, the teacher turned and left with a sigh.
Obito Uchiha leaned closer to check if there were any scratches on her hands. "Hey, you should at least be a little more careful."
“I’m not good at close combat.” Haruko watched him rub her hands and added, “Besides, I’m fragile.”
"...What strange things are you saying?" Obito Uchiha was relieved to see that she was alright.
He used to be a loud and boisterous person, but after meeting Haruko Uchiha, whose character was questionable, he became much more mature.
Haruko invited him, "Obito, would you like to come eat dango with us after school?"
"You guys? What do you mean, 'you guys'?" Obito Uchiha was annoyed; this kind of exclusion from Haruko's vocabulary was really unpleasant.
"It was Kurenai and Asuma who invited me to eat dango, but I wanted to go with Obito."
Without Obito, how would she pay? Haruko felt saddened by her dependent situation.
Obito Uchiha instantly perked up, "There's really no other way, I'll go with you then!"
After school, sitting in the dango shop, Haruko, with her legs crossed, ordered ten skewers of dango with great extravagance. Seeing her like this, Obito Uchiha next to her seemed to vaguely understand why she wanted him to accompany her.
No, he must be overthinking it!
It's absolutely not because they wanted to call me over to pay!
Obito Uchiha took a big bite of the dumpling, then, realizing something, asked them, "Didn't Guy come?"
Asuma Sarutobi thought of Might Guy's enthusiastic demeanor and felt a little helpless. "Guy said he was inspired and would run 500 laps every day from now on to do justice to us."
Obito Uchiha's lips twitched slightly. "What a passionate person..."
After Haruko pulled him together to stand up for Might Guy, Obito's relationship with the two of them improved, and he was no longer as protective and wary of them as before.
Kurenai asked curiously, "Were Haruko and Obito childhood friends too?"
Haruko nodded. "Because Obito's tsundere personality makes it difficult for him to make friends, I kindly took him in."
"That's not true at all!" Obito Uchiha exploded. "You're the one who tricked me!"
“So it was me who took you in.” Haruko shook the dumpling in her hand, speaking with conviction.
Obito Uchiha pouted, "It's clearly me taking care of you!"
Watching them bicker, Kurenai remarked, "You two are really interesting to watch."
"Kurenai and Asuma are also very interesting." Haruko ignored Obito Uchiha, who was fuming like a pufferfish next to her, and asked gossipily, "Will Kurenai and Asuma get married in the future?"
"Huh?" Kurenai Yuhi was taken aback. "Why are we getting married?"
Sarutobi Asuma, who was sitting next to her, coughed and scratched his reddened ears.
Haruko carefully explained to them, "Because many novels are written like this, childhood sweethearts eventually become lovers who rely on each other, it's a very popular theme!"
The young Kurenai Yuhi didn't quite understand her logic, but recalling the love stories Haruko had told them before, she nodded hesitantly, "Probably?"
Hearing his childhood friend's words, Sarutobi Asuma's ears turned even redder. He took a sip of his tea to hide his embarrassment, but did not deny her words.
Kurenai asked curiously, "So Haruko and Obito are childhood friends, will they get married in the future?"
Obito Uchiha subconsciously looked at Haruko, secretly hoping for her answer.
Haruko explained seriously, "Not necessarily. After all, even if Obito is stupid, he won't be fooled by me forever, right?"
Uchiha Obito banged her head against the table; there was no way she could say anything!
Attracted by the sound of his collision, the three children all looked at him. Haruko asked in confusion, "Obito seems disappointed?"
Uchiha Obito blushed and said indignantly, "I'm not disappointed at all!"
Haruko looked at him quietly for a few seconds, then slowly said, "If Obito doesn't mind, I'd like to marry him."
Kurenai Yuhi's eyes widened, and Asuma Sarutobi watched with bated breath, eager to see her reaction.
Uchiha Obito froze in place under Haruko's solemn expression, his face rapidly flushing, his mind going blank as only the repeated echo of "I want to marry Obito" remained.
“Obito?” Haruko waved her hand in front of his face a few times. “Obito looks like a monkey with a face and a butt that are as red as his.”
"..." Obito Uchiha, unable to bear it any longer, grabbed her hand that was still waving around in front of his eyes.
Kurenai Yuhi interjected, asking, "So, Obito doesn't want to?"
Hearing the question, Obito Uchiha didn't look at her; his eyes remained fixed on Haruko, who was expecting an answer, and he whispered, "I'm willing..."
A sly glint flashed in Haruko's eyes. "What? I didn't hear that."
Obito Uchiha's cheeks flushed red, but he wasn't angry. He raised his voice a little and repeated, "I'm willing!"
Haruko's eyes curved slightly as she smiled.
She's incredibly clever to have successfully turned a short-term meal ticket into a long-term one!
