Chapter 652 The Hall of Ascension, the Fall of Gods

The three continued on their way.

Suddenly, the stone statues on both sides of the passage began to speak.

"My wisdom will be passed down to you."

Su Bai raised his head.

With a hint of doubt in his eyes, he asked, "What exactly are these stone statues?"

"I remember now!"

Artanis said repeatedly, "It is recorded in the tribal history books that they were the ancient Xel'Naga."

"We're not far from the truth," Su Bai murmured.

The three continued their journey, constantly eliminating the hybrids.

Two hours later.

Once again, in front of a tightly closed stone gate, a Xel'Naga construct was destroyed.

The stone gate opened.

After passing.

Enter a bright hall.

“The Hall of Revelation, this is it!” Artanis’s eyes lit up.

Su Bai stepped forward, gazing at the enormous altar that had appeared before him. "What is this?"

"The altar is no small matter, however, it has not yet been activated."

Artanis infused it with psionic energy. "Alright, the altar is continuing to exert its power; it will soon be aroused."

The energy emanating from the altar attracted all the hybrid behemoths that were roaming nearby.

"roar!"

The roar echoed throughout the Hall of Revelation.

The hybrid behemoth charged madly toward the three of them.

"Prepare for battle!"

Su Bai's gaze was sharp.

Kerrigan and Artanis assumed battle stances, standing slightly behind and to the sides of Su Bai.

The three formed a triangular battle formation, coordinating perfectly to launch an attack on the charging hybrid behemoth.

"The altar should be activated soon!"

Kerrigan unleashed her psionic energy and slew the last hybrid behemoth.

The three of them didn't have time to rest.

They hurried to the activated altar.

Ancient energy abounds.

A picture appears.

"I...I saw it!"

Artanis's voice carried a hint of shock.

"The Xel'Naga are the original existence of everything in the Koprulu Sector."

"These gods were born from the void."

"They have a sacred mission: to create life and to safeguard the endless cycle of reincarnation."

The ancient scenes continue to unfold, telling a bizarre and mysterious story of the past.

Artanis continued speaking:

"When the new universe is born, the Xel'Naga will use an avatar to enter that universe."

“Once their avatars are destroyed, they will be forced to return to the void.”

"They've been waiting for us to finish assembling the keystone all along."

"And following the guidance of fate, I came here..."

After listening.

Su Bai murmured, "Fate... is truly unpredictable."

He looked at the altar, its surface covered with large hieroglyphs.

What do these hieroglyphs mean?

Artanis did not think.

He quickly replied, "These words are merely the surface; one must establish communication with the altar to understand the information contained within."

Following Artanis's instructions, Su Bai attempted to establish a connection with the altar.

soon.

He succeeded.

The information contained within the altar was fully revealed.

Here, at the Temple of Unity, the Xel'Naga began to sow the seeds of life in this universe.

They created the Protoss and the Zerg, and also brought life to other endless star sectors.

The Xel'Naga will observe and select races with potential, but will not interfere with the natural evolution of those races.

In the endless cycle of reincarnation, two races emerged.

A spirit of pure essence, capable of adapting to change.

The other possesses a pure form, capable of holding immense psionic energy, enough to contain the essence of the Xel'Naga.

These two races are the Zerg and the Protoss.

Later, the Xel'Naga turned their attention to humans.

Especially, humans on Earth.

"Could it be that the Xel'Naga were behind establishing a link between the Land of Redemption and Earth?"

After reading the information, a bold judgment flashed through Su Bai's mind.

Decades ago.

The Land of Redemption connects to Earth.

From that moment on, the world changed dramatically.

Everyone who turns eighteen has the potential to awaken the Lord's Mark and be bound to their chosen race.

The change came so suddenly.

The mysteries within are completely incomprehensible to humankind on Earth.

And the national fortune reward, which was like a miracle, was even more awe-inspiring.

At that time, Su Bai guessed that there must be a god-like being controlling all of this.

Now, his guess seems to have been confirmed.

“A few years ago, I was suddenly summoned to the Land of Redemption; it must have been caused by the power of the Xel'Naga,” Kerrigan blurted out.

Seemingly sensing the presence of the three races, the altar began to tremble.

Artanis began to speak, interpreting the newly emerging information.

"The Xel'Naga are right ahead of us—in the Hall of Ascension!"

"During their slumber, countless civilizations rose, perished, and rose again!"

"They will awaken when the three destined races arrive!"

"It's worth mentioning that the Destined Races were originally only the Protoss and the Zerg!"

"Later, when the Xel'Naga discovered Earth, they were awestruck by this vibrant planet!"

"And so, another race was born: humans!"

Artanis paused, a hint of shock in his eyes.

"The elders of Xel'Naga will sacrifice their lives to infuse the newborn with their essence..."

"And the newborn will be reborn as the Xel'Naga, the guardians of endless reincarnation!"

After listening.

Su Bai was taken aback for a moment.

"There's a lot of information here."

Kerrigan shifted her gaze to the passageway that appeared behind the altar. "That must be the Hall of Ascension."

"Our last savior is inside!" Artanis's azure eyes were filled with intense excitement.

The three of them moved.

Step into the Hall of Ascension.

Near the dimly lit passageway, dilapidated building stones were scattered.

The environment ahead was so dark it felt suffocating.

"The scene inside the Hall of Ascension is a little different from what I imagined," Su Bai murmured.

The three continued to explore further.

Something's not right here.

Kerrigan glanced around, a wary look in her eyes.

"It's too dark."

Su Bai raised his hand.

A purple ball of spiritual energy condensed and was thrown into the sky.

Like a tracer bullet rising slowly.

The surrounding darkness was temporarily dispelled.

“Xel'Naga…”

Artanis's expression changed.

He dashed to the right front.

A huge creature fell there.

The body was covered in dust and cobwebs, indicating that it had been dead for a long time.

The fallen creature was almost identical to the enormous stone statues that had previously stood on both sides of the road.

"No!"

"That's impossible!"

Artanis was jolted.

It was a heavy blow to the heart.

It was like a bolt from the blue, or like being doused with a bucket of cold water from head to toe, leaving my whole body numb.

There was more than one such corpse.

They lay sprawled haphazardly on the ground of the Hall of Ascension.

"They are all dead."

Kerrigan looked around.

Su Bai once again condensed a ball of spiritual energy and launched it into the sky.

"Xel'Naga, how could so many gods all be dead?"

Su Bai's brows furrowed into a deep frown.

suddenly.

Ripples spread through the air.

A deep and ancient voice resounded throughout the entire hall.

"Su Bai, Artanis, Queen of Blades."

I heard that sound.

Artanis's pupils constricted sharply, and he blurted out, "Emon!"

The next moment.

A chilling aura swept over him, unusually oppressive, causing Su Bai's body to tense instantly.

A gigantic black phantom descended like a god.

The shadowy figure was dark and profound.

A pair of blood-red pupils radiated an eerie red light, casting a deathly hue over the entire temple.
