Chapter 565 Cold Syndrome

"Doctor Yun, Doctor Jin wants you to go to the clinic!"

Yun Heng had just come from Qi Yaping's office when Zhao Nani came up to him and said to him.

"Okay, I understand."

Yun Heng agreed to the doctor's request and went directly to Jin Shijie's clinic.

"Doctor Yun!"

Seeing Yun Heng come in, Jin Shijie stood up and greeted him with a smile.

When he was at Tongji University, Jin Shijie knew that Yun Heng was better than him. After coming to West Asia Hospital, Jin Shijie also heard some things about Yun Heng. When the three elders, Qu Tongwen, Ji Fengwen and Yue Anyun, were not here, Yun Heng was the ceiling of West Asia Hospital.

Normally, if Jin Shijie encountered a patient whose condition could not be treated in the outpatient clinic, he should have asked the patient to go directly to the duty room to find Yun Heng. However, Jin Shijie was also somewhat curious about the disease, so he naturally wanted to hear it in person.

And given the patient's condition, hospitalization is not necessary.

On this point, there is a big difference between Chinese medicine and Western medicine.

Most patients go to the hospital to see Western medicine, whether they are seeing a specialist or a regular doctor. Basically, very few patients will encounter a doctor who says, "I can't treat your disease." At most, they will hear the doctor say, "Go to another department for a check-up."

No matter what the disease is, if hospitalization is required, the doctor will advise hospitalization. If not, the doctor will prescribe an examination and wait for the results. The prescription prescribed by the doctor you see today may be read by another doctor tomorrow.

You can see a qualified Chinese medicine doctor, who can basically understand the situation on the spot. If the doctor is not sure about some diseases, then that's it.

At West Asia Community Hospital, the most important reason why the TCM department has a high visit rate is that there are no return visits on the same day.

There is no need to check equipment or look at test reports. We can deal with patients one by one. At most, we will encounter patients who came for follow-up visits a few days ago. Less return visits, and this alone can make patients feel much more comfortable.

If there is a good Chinese medicine doctor, most patients are willing to see him. This factor is also one of the very important factors.

But there is no need for examination, no fixed routine, and it is also the most challenging test of the doctor's own level. If he can understand it, he can understand it, and if he can't understand it, he can't understand it.

When Yun Heng was not at the West Asia Hospital, whenever Ren Xuedong and others encountered patients with problems they could not solve, they would recommend that the patients go to a large hospital for examination. Not to mention other places, at least at the West Asia Hospital, no one would try to show off their abilities.

"Doctor Jin!"

Yun Heng nodded to Jin Shijie.

"Doctor Yun!"

The patient was a pretty girl in her early twenties. She also hurriedly stood up to greet Yun Heng.

"Sit down!"

Yun Heng greeted politely, then sat down behind the examination table, while Jin Shijie stood beside Yun Heng.

In the medical field, the one with high skills is the king. Yun Heng was called by Jin Shijie himself, so at this moment, Jin Shijie naturally put his identity in the right place.

In clinical practice, if you try to show off without sufficient skills, you are courting death. As the saying goes, you can't do a job if you don't have the skills. At least as far as the current patients are concerned, Jin Shijie can't handle it.

"Where do you feel uncomfortable?"

After Yun Heng sat down, he observed the girl and asked politely.

"Doctor Yun, please look at my hands."

The girl stretched out her hand for Yun Heng to see.

The hands were white, with long fingers, a very beautiful pair of hands. Yun Heng stared at them for a while but couldn't see anything wrong.

"Doctor Yun, please wait a moment."

The girl stood up and walked to the side. There was an examination bed, a curtain, and a washbasin next to the new clinic on the second floor. The girl walked to the washbasin, washed her hands in the basin for a while, and then came over with her wet hands raised.

Looking at the girl's hands again, Yun Heng saw the changes in them at a glance. The girl's ten fingers had turned pale.

Yun Heng reached out and touched the girl's fingers, feeling a slight chill.

The girl looked at Yun Heng and said, "Doctor Yun, please wait a moment."

Yun Heng didn't say anything and continued to watch. After a while, the girl's originally pale fingers began to turn purple, and then turned into a dark red.

"What does Doctor Jin think?"

Seeing this, Yun Heng turned around and asked Jin Shijie.

"This is a very typical Raynaud's phenomenon. Modern medicine clinically divides this phenomenon into two categories: primary and secondary. The former is mostly caused by factors such as cold stimulation, autonomic nervous system disorders, endocrine disorders, and genetic infections, while the secondary type is more common in rheumatic immune system diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, lupus erythematosus, and dermatomyositis."

Jin Shijie replied.

What Jin Shijie said is a very standard clinical description of Raynaud's phenomenon.

Raynaud's phenomenon, also known as intermittent finger skin color change, extremity artery spasm, or secondary extremity artery spasm, refers to vascular and neurological dysfunction induced by cold stimulation, emotional agitation, prolonged use of vibrating tools, and various diseases. This condition leads to paroxysmal spasms of the extremities, temporary reduction or interruption of blood flow, and subsequent dilation and congestion, accompanied by pain and paresthesia. It manifests as intermittent paleness, cyanosis, and flushing of the skin in the extremities.

This disease is more common in women, with a male-to-female ratio of about 1:10; the age of onset is mostly between 20 and 30 years old, and very few are over 40 years old.

"Doctor Jin is very knowledgeable."

When the girl heard what Jin Shijie said, she smiled and said, "I've had this condition for many years. I had a checkup a few years ago and it ruled out rheumatic immune system diseases. It should be primary."
