Chapter 779: Doctor Yun's Consultation (Part 1)

The demonstration room is already equipped with a display screen, and you can use it directly by simply connecting the device.

There is a blackboard above the display screen, which can be raised and lowered. When it is lowered, it can be used as a blackboard, and when it is raised, it can be used as a display screen.

In the morning, when the trainees walked into the demonstration room, they noticed that the blackboard in the demonstration room had risen up, and the display screen that had not been turned on for the past two days was also turned on.

"Hey, is this a clinic?"

There was already a picture on the display screen, and the young doctors who came in were discussing it.

"It is indeed a clinic, but I don't know which hospital it belongs to."

"Are we letting everyone watch the live broadcast today?"

Just as a group of people were discussing, Ji Fengwen walked into the demonstration room and everyone hurriedly sat down.

He Yongfei followed behind Ji Fengwen. He Yongfei moved the stool on the podium to the side and the table to the side. Ji Fengwen walked to the front of the table with a teacup and put it down.

"Starting today, we will conduct on-site teaching. Every day, we will focus on a doctor who is attending a West Asia Hospital. Everyone will think and learn based on the doctor's treatment. I will explain it to you on the spot."

Ji Fengwen said slowly, "Today everyone is visiting Yun Heng's clinic."

“On-site teaching.”

“This is good.”

"As expected of Mr. Ji, he is really pragmatic."

"Yes, this way everyone can be more intuitive."

"And it's Doctor Yun, that's great."

The students below began to whisper again.

At this moment, Yun Heng had not entered the clinic yet and the class had not started yet, so Ji Fengwen did not blame the students for their discussion.

About five minutes later, Yun Heng walked into the clinic, followed by He Yongfei.

Seeing Yun Heng enter the clinic, everyone in the teaching room fell silent.

Yun Heng also held the teacup and put it down beside the examination table, then sat down and waited until eight o'clock when the patient numbers were called on time.

A woman in her thirties came into the clinic, holding a little boy of eight or nine years old.

The boy looked rather thin and listless, as if he had not yet woken up.

"Sit down."

The woman held the child and sat down on a stool nearby.

After sitting down, Yun Heng observed the child's condition and asked, "Where do you feel uncomfortable?"

He Yongfei adjusted the lens and focus and aimed it at the boy.

In the teaching room, Ji Fengwen said, "Traditional Chinese medicine uses the four diagnostic methods of observation, auscultation, inquiry, and palpation. These four methods are almost always performed the moment we see a patient. Observation, in particular, is the first step. We begin observing the patient the moment they appear before our eyes."

After saying this, Ji Fengwen stopped talking and everyone looked at the display screen.

"My child has stomachache and diarrhea, no appetite, and feels listless all day..."

The child's mother told Yun Heng about the situation.

"Come, hold the child tightly, but hold him loosely, don't hold him too hard."

Yun Heng pulled the stool he was sitting on, then grabbed the little boy's arm to take his pulse, and asked questions while feeling his pulse.

Inside the teaching room, Ji Fengwen continued, "Pulse palpation is a very important part of the four diagnostic methods. You all graduated from medical school, so you should know that it needs to be accurate, and the less interference the better. So, in normal clinical practice, if you don't have confidence, it's best to proceed step by step. When taking a pulse, concentrate on it and don't be distracted. In situations like Yun Heng, who is taking a pulse and asking questions at the same time, you must be absolutely confident, otherwise you will easily be distracted."

Ji Fengwen gave another reminder and then fell silent.

"Your hands are so cold?"

Yun Heng said this when he grabbed the little boy's hand, because he knew it was a live broadcast.

After saying that, Yun Heng touched the little boy's calf again: "It's also icy, not warm at all."

"Well, the child's hands and feet are usually cold, unlike other children whose hands and feet are warm." said the child's mother.

"Is the stomach pain constant or comes and goes?"

Yun Heng touched the patient's hands and feet before officially starting to take his pulse.

"In waves."

After asking a few questions, Yun Heng stopped asking.

I concentrated on taking the child's pulse, and while doing so, the child's brows furrowed again.

"Your stomach hurts again?" Yun Heng asked the child.

"Yeah." The boy nodded.

Yun Heng let go of the boy's wrist and picked up the teacup on the examination table. The teacup was made of glass and was not very heat-insulating. The boiling water in it was not very hot to the touch, but it was also hot. He screwed the lid on the cup and then placed it on the little boy's belly, rolling it back and forth.

"Are you feeling better?"

"Um."

The boy nodded again.

Then Yun Heng picked up the cup, put it away, checked his tongue coating, moved the stool, and started typing on the computer.

"The pulse is deep, thready, and weak, with a white or greasy tongue coating."

In the demonstration room, Ji Fengwen asked, "Who knows what the symptoms of the children are?"

Someone raised his hand hurriedly.

"You speak." Ji Fengwen pointed at a student.

"Poor appetite, lack of food intake, fatigue, fear of cold, cold limbs, abdominal pain, loose stools, preference for warmth and fear of cold, abdominal pain that requires pressure..."

"What's your name?" Ji Fengwen asked.

"Replying to Mr. Ji, my name is Liu Donghai."

"He likes warmth and is afraid of cold, and he likes to press when he has abdominal pain. How did you tell?" Ji Fengwen asked Liu Donghai.

"Doctor Yun just rolled the cup of water, which actually means pressing. The cup is warm and the child feels comfortable." Liu Donghai replied, feeling a little nervous while speaking.

"Okay, that's a good answer."
